Love the learning and life experience that this college is still teaching me.
Placements: Placements for our course are pretty average. Most of the companies that come for recruitment are Kolkata-based small forms. Almost 20-30% of students got placed among 100%. Roles offered are writers, marketing bizops, associates, and journalists.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not that great. It just has a building as campus has no ground or anything of that sort. Classrooms have good infrastructure. Every room has an air-conditioner and projector. We have a separate yoga room and game room. We also have a room for small events to be conducted. Washrooms are pretty clean and hygiene is maintained properly. We have our separate Mac lab and a computer lab. The quality of food in the canteen is really good. We have a separate medical chamber.
Faculty: Teachers are pretty helpful, funny, and reliable. Each professor is very qualified and a journalist has worked at a particular renowned media house. The course is very much relevant till today. It also makes students industry-ready by making them work on practical projects like making a newspaper, writing articles, creating a news bulletin, making documents, building a website, and many other practical projects. Semester exams are pretty much the same as other colleges like it happens after six months of interval. The passing percentage is 40% for each paper.
Other: This course is very much practical rather than just building as a book worms. It helps us to build practical knowledge about media, and the impact of media on today's society. Also how media have developed and its integration into society. People's life and many other such things. Including more and more practical work and not just one project per semester would improve the variability of this course. We do have small events and fests according to society and also we have a college fest Srijan. Different societal activities like dance, drama, singing, film, photos, sports, debate, consulting, and many more are conducted.

Absolutely satisfied because of the environment and discipline.
Placements: Our college offers many free placements to its students. Major companies like KPO and TCS have visited our campus for recruitment, and over 20% of the girls were selected for jobs after interviews. However, our college does not have any hostels.
Infrastructure: Our college has a lot of great facilities, including a gym, a swimming pool, and a library. All students have access to free Wi-Fi during laboratory classes. The canteen food is affordable and delicious. The college also has a sports teacher who offers a variety of sports, including basketball, badminton, and chess.
Faculty: The teachers at this college are very highly educated and maintain their dignity with the students. They are very friendly and approachable to each student and always try to explain the material in the best possible way. They also conduct revision lectures during the examination period, which helps us to boost our confidence.
Other: Shri Shikshayatan College offers many scholarships, including the Aikyashree Swami Vivekananda scholarship and the Kanyashree scholarship. These scholarships are very helpful to students who need financial assistance.

Amazing Faculty, good infrastructure and facilities, bad placement opportunity.
Placements: My placement experience for B.Com (Hons) in Finance and accountancy was not good. 75-80% of students didn't even know that companies had come for placements. Top companies like Deloitte and PwC visited, but most of us had no idea. So If you're planning for admission then do keep a track on placements update as the teachers themselves or the official groups do not provide this information.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel. We used to live pgs nearby. Talking about infrastructure, that was quite good. Classrooms did have AC facility. Labs and library was also good. Canteen foods were good in taste. One thing I was disappoint was that there was no big ground and all. But yes there is one basketball court which was quite amazing.
Faculty: In my opinion, the faculty was excellent. They were very well-educated and taught effective. The way exams were conducted was also very good and strict, ensuring a fair assessment. In terms of academics, the college was quite strong. They provided comprehensive notes and held classes every day. Additional the curriculum was well structured and the faculty was always approachable.

Satisfactory college placements but the college campus could have been better.
Placements: 10-20 percent of students were placed in good companies like KPMG, EY, and PhonePe this year, with the average being 6-7 LPA. Many students opted for the sales department, and some opted to work in the finance field, working for companies like Deloitte. Students opted to do higher studies after B.Com, like M.Com and MBA, to secure better job opportunities.
Infrastructure: The classrooms had whiteboards and AC, which many colleges don't have. Having ACs in the classrooms helped a lot during the summer season. My college didn't provide hostel facilities, but the building next to my college was a PG, and many students lived there.
Faculty: All the professors were highly qualified, educated, and really kind and helpful. Their teaching was exact and apt to the curriculum followed. The semester exams were not difficult, but the marking scheme and paper-checking pattern are really bad, due to which 30-20 percent of students fail every year.
Other: I chose this course because I thought it would be easy to study as I am pursuing other professional courses side-by-side. Small events were organized throughout the year, but a fest was not organized when I was in college for 3 years.

A good college if you want a progressive and peaceful environment to study and develop yourself.
Placements: Actually, I am not in the B.Com or BBA department, so I am not sure about the placements, but there are internships, and placements are held, but the average package is not known to me. But as per what I have heard from my seniors, the placements are good, as the college lies in a corporate sense area that has Tata Steel and Emami nearby, so internships are not a big deal.
Infrastructure: Honestly speaking, the infrastructure of the college is not that eye-catching, but it has decent ground, the computer labs, library, and practical lab. The canteen is all equipped decently and well cleaned with centralized AC all around the college. But after spending 4-5 years, you will eventually get bored of seeing it regularly. Also, the canteen is very small as per my expectations.
Faculty: I don't know about the teachers of all depth. But speaking about the botany department, they are all very helpful and understanding (if you are regular to college); they will try to teach you with utmost devotion. The curriculum is divided among 2 teachers, which makes it easier for both students and teachers to teach properly. Attendance is a kickback but not a necessity.
Other: The college is an 8.5 according to the fee structure and the area of its campus. According to my course, i.e., B.Sc. Botany (H), it is a decent college that frequently arranges seminars, lectures, competitions, and activities for the overall development of yourself. If you try to get in touch with the senior, whom I will highly regard, it will help you in everything. The seniors are very good and supportive. Especially the sports department, which is very progressive, and they help you teach you the sports even if you are a noob. The crowd is mixed and contains all kinds of people.

Dissatisfied about my college life.
Placements: In our department, till date we didn't receive any placement offers. Top roles offered are - college faculty, school teacher. I'm not aware if they offer placement offers or provide internships. In our department we weren't informed of anything like this.
Infrastructure: We are not provided with any hostel facilities. But they do have more than 2 ACs in each classroom. I don't know if we have Wi-Fi, our labs are great. The computer lab contains apple products which is a very great initiative. Students don't face any kind of difficulties learning.
Faculty: The pass percentage in our university is 30%. It is very hard to get good results. Even scoring 50 percent is like very difficult. The maximum percentage one can get in 80 percent. The college professors are nice. But that doesn't help us score good percentage.
Other: I chose this course as I love reading story books, essay, novels, poems etc. The one thing that bother me here in this college is that very often classes are cancelled or scheduled without any prior notice. Often times we find out that or classes are cancelled just before reaching the classroom or after reaching the classroom. Not many events or fests are held. The college is very study oriented. They Don't focus on extra curriculum activities that much.
