Placements: I am currently in my 2nd year pursuing B.Com (Hons) in this college. I have limited information about the placements opportunities but as informed by our teachers, companies like Deloitte and top MNCs recruit students from our college during their final year.
Placements: There is no placement cell for Economics honors students. From my course, none of the students got any internship or job in any company. So, if you are hoping for a job just after graduation, you are on your own. Although, there is a good placement cell for B.Com students.
Placements: Around 60-70% of students are placed. The top recruiting companies are Deloitte, PWC, and Indigo. Atleast 30 companies are visiting during 3 days college campusing. The position offered is at BPO levels with a minimum of Rs 10,000 per month.
Placements: There were no placements in our batch due to the COVID outbreak. However, the college provides good placements for all its students. At least 90% of students get good placements, which forms an important part of your career base. So, the placements in our college are good.
Placements: The college doesn't offer campus placements to Bachelor degree holders. The students in my batch got jobs and internships on their own. However, the college has a good reputation in the city, so being an SSC student can help. The students are expected to face the competitive industries on their own, which can be scary to some people.
Placements: Placements are not available in our college. It is one of the most disciplined colleges under Calcutta University, but there are no placement opportunities for our course. This college is not for students who are looking for scholarships.
Placements: I am doing an internship under a CA. I don't have any idea about the placements in our college. But as far as I know, the placements are not that good and satisfying. Some of my friends got placements, but they were not satisfied with it.
Placements: Placements in our college are okay. Good companies visit our campus, but the salary package offered is not that high. Further inquiry can be made from the placement cell of the college. Roles offered will be in the financial domain only. Moreover, there may be a good opportunity for a person who doesn't want to pursue further studies.
Placements: Placements in our college were average. Only a few companies visit our college to offer jobs in the marketing field. Mainly e-commerce companies visit our college to hire students. The maximum salary package offered was approximately Rs. 25,000 per month. There is a placement cell in our college. Internships are also offered to students in AISEC.
Placements: The placement cell was very active. However, the companies that came to our college were not very well-established apart from a few. The placement lasted for only two days, in which only 5 companies were worth applying for. One of them was Indigo Airlines that wanted to recruit young staff. One girl from our department got offered a job in the same after an entire day of interviews. The drawback of the placement system was that the majority of companies coming were focused only on B.com graduate...
Placements: There is a placement cell called placement SSC. They have a facebook page too. An event called campus drive is held every year where many companies come to hire students. They provide full-time jobs as well as internships. Companies that came to hire B.Com students were ITC, IDBI Bank etc. The job profile includes financial analyst, sales representative etc. The average pay provided for full-time courses was Rs. 15,000 per month to Rs. 20,000 per month. For the internship, it was Rs. 4,000 to Rs...
Placements: The placement cell of our college is not much active as students do not opt for placements right after graduation, but they pursue professional courses after that or along with it. However, the college invites some companies every year for placements. One problem is that Kolkata is not a corporate hub, so it is difficult to invite companies from out of the station.
Placements: I am pursuing my chartered accountancy, so I was not involved with the placement drive. Nonetheless, there weren't many options available, and there wasn't any proper work being done about the placements. There was a small booth allocated, which remained closed most of the time. I don't think many people( if any at all) were got placed through the college.
Placements: The placement of my senior cluster was terrible. Last year, only 40% of the students got placement, that too from their own sources. The highest salary was 3 lacs per annum, and the average was around 2 lacs per annum. Companies like ICICI, Kotak came for placement. Very low profiles were offered to the students. Not at all satisfied with the placement.
Placements: In our department, till date we didn't receive any placement offers. Top roles offered are - college faculty, school teacher. I'm not aware if they offer placement offers or provide internships. In our department we weren't informed of anything like this.
Placements: My placement experience for B.Com (Hons) in Finance and accountancy was not good. 75-80% of students didn't even know that companies had come for placements. Top companies like Deloitte and PwC visited, but most of us had no idea. So If you're planning for admission then do keep a track on placements update as the teachers themselves or the official groups do not provide this information.
Placements: Since placements began in 2020, very few companies have visited for placements. Deloitte visited for the first time and recruited 7 students out of 1400, so you can imagine. Other companies visit, but those are basically BPOs. Some I remember are Wipro, Omnifin, and Indigo Ground Staff.
Placements: The college does not provide on-campus placements for honours courses. Students willing to find job or internships have to search on their own and go for off-campus placements. However, many students prefer to go for higher studies after graduation.
Placements: Placement scenario of the college was just fine. Lots of students did not appear for the placements as they wanted to pursue masters or other professional courses. The average salary offered is 2.4-3 LPA. Very few companies visited our campus for placements. The next batch still had better companies visiting.
Placements: Placements are provided in our college. There is a placement cell in the college. Students have to register their names in the placement cell. Placements of our batch were not good. Mostly they provide internships for students. Students get work experience from internships.
