B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2019

The college is affordable and good.
Placements: The placement ratio for mechanical and civil students is quite low. Many students got selected in off-campus drives, not campus placements. The highest package offered at our time was 8.8 LPA, and the minimum package was 1.5 LPA. Atlas Copco, Dhoot Electrical, Bharat Forge and many other small-scale companies came here. The field service engineer was the highest role offered.
Infrastructure: Hostel services are quite good. It is not much clean and neat but is very affordable. Wi-Fi is available everywhere but has restrictions on various websites. Labs are quite good. The canteen is not great as always but affordable. Playground, medical facilities and other necessary services are available.
Faculty: The teachers for the first year are good. I moved from IT to mechanical in the second year. The teachers keep changing. So, we could not establish a bond. The theoretical pattern is very good, but we lack practicals. Exams are quite tough.

I am satisfied because of placements.
Placements: Placements given by the college are the best. Above 80% of the students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered in the previous year was 10 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. The average salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. Infosys is the top recruiting company which offers most packages for students and gives opportunity to make their future.
Infrastructure: Our college is located in Pandharpur city which is a holy place. The infrastructure of our college is the best. Classrooms and library facilities are so clean and good. The facility of the hostel given by college is said to be the best because they keep the rooms of the hostel so clean and serve us hygienic food. They also give good facilities of sports ground and conduct competitions every year to make students career in sports as they want. Canteen facility is the best.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college are the best. They are so helpful, highly qualified and they always support every student to improve their knowledge. The teaching quality is good. The curriculum is relevant to the future and is also updated. The course makes students ready for the industry. Exams in this college are not difficult. The pass percentage is my above 35%.
Other: I chose this college because they give the best service and knowledge. The best thing about our course is computer knowledge. I can improve my coding knowledge. The events and scholarships given by the college are the best.

Absolutely dissatisfied from some college principles which are not profitable to student.
Placements: I am currently pursuing the course but the students from my senior batch is almost placed. At-most 92%-95% of students were placed during this year's campus drive. The highest package till now is 8.8 Lacs per annum for Mechanical and ENTC departments and for CSE dept. It is approximately 5 Lacs per annum, the lowest package is 1,20,000 rupees per annum approximately. And the average salary offered is between 2 Lacs to 2.5 Lacs per annum. I don't know the names of all companies but some of them are wipro, amazon, tata, tcs, etc. And after that many of the small companies. Roles to student in some social activities are provided but this is decided by college itself. Yes, there is placement cell in our college. Yes, Its useful.
Infrastructure: Hostels are too bad. In hostels, we have to adjust 4 mates in a small room. Only one small lockers are provided to students for keeping their things safe but those are also damaged ones. Fans are used in the rooms and in summer students face lot of problems. Labs are okay. Classrooms are also average ones. Yes, in case of library college is making the biggest library in whole district. A lady doctor is there but sometimes she isn't there for a whole complete day. College provides very less opportunities in the field of games and sports. Quality of labs and classrooms are average. Quality of food is very poor.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are really very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is too good. But the campus forces theoretical knowledge more than the practical knowledge. Projectors are used to explain, demos are given by the teachers and simple explanations on board by the teachers only these kind of teaching methods are used. Don't know the exact ratio, sorry. Yes, industry exposure is also given to some batches. Yes, it was useful.
Other: This college didn't give that much place to extracurricular activities. Some of the few events are organised but only one major event in whole semester.

Review of Shri Vithal Education and Research Institute's College of Engineering.
Placements: When I was in my final year, i.e., in 2014, I found that the placements for other department were really good compared to my department. Very few companies visited the campus to recruit the civil students, and some of the recruiters were interested in male candidates only. Fortunately, I got placed in the company that I first appeared for interview.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was very good. Classrooms are huge and spacious. The library and study rooms are very good. There is an auditorium in the centre of the college. Classrooms, labs and college office are well-furnished. There is a huge playground on the campus.
Faculty: In 2014, there were few good teachers in the civil department. Some of them left our college and joined another college. There were no permanent faculty to teach subjects like SOM 2 and SOM 3. The college authority used to invite call guest lecturers that too on weekends. That was too boring as we had to sit for hours for learning only one subject.
Other: Connectivity from our college to Pandharpur city was good. There were college buses for localites. As I was a hosteler, I had no issue of travelling. There was an earn and learn scheme for meritorious but economically weaker students. Many events were conducted successfully.

It is a very strict college, and it is like a school.
Placements: Our college is renowned in Maharashtra. Placements in our college are good for departments like computer science, electronic and telecommunications engineering and information technology. Companies like TCS, Nihilent, and IBM visited our college and hired a lot of good students. I am quite unhappy with the placements for our branch, i.e., civil engineering. Hardly companies come to hire us. It was very disappointing for us at that time.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Our college provides good classrooms. The college has an auditorium for conducting programmes. There is a separate seminar hall for each department. There is a huge playground for playing various games. I was quite unhappy with Wi-Fi facility, and the network was poor.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are good. Our college is very carefully hiring teachers. They have hired many teachers who are masters and PhD holders. Teachers are very cooperative. They give personal attention to each student. Faculty members are very strict. They have provided good guidance to us.

Unnecessary rules and strictness in return no academic excellence. Only producing clerks.
Placements: Percentage of students placed -25%.
The highest package offered-4 lpa,
the lowest package-1.2 lpa,
average package- 2 lpa.
Top recruiter-tcs.
No interns in our course.
Every mechanical engineer works in IT companies.
No encouragement from college side to grow. Only mugging is appreciated over here.
Infrastructure: Poor infrastructure and dirty hostel. No proper medical facilities for students. No separate building for separate departments. Unnecessary fine collected from students. In name of discipline. In period of submission students are harassed by teachers.
Faculty: Qualified teachers, helpful, but due to college rules they are afraid of getting memos and can't be kind to students. It doesn't make any student industry ready. It make students clerk. Only mugging and scrolling in examinations. Never take admission in this college.
Other: No nice events. No college life. Even you are under surveillance of college administration 24*7.
