It has decent infrastructure, good faculty members, and strong placements.

Faculty: Many faculty members hold advanced degrees. They have relevant experience, but some need to improve their teaching methods. The teaching quality is average to good. Certain professors are experts in their subjects. The course curriculum is moderately relevant.

I am satisfied with this college, but not that much.

Faculty: Teachers teaching quality is very good. Staff members are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Teachers are very helpful and they solve many doubts of students. The course curriculum is worth it and highly relevant as it covers many subjects like business communication, accounting, statistics, economics policies, taxation, finance, and marketing.

Shyam Lal College, Shahdara.

Faculty: The teachers are helpful and well-qualified, with good knowledge. Their communication skills with students are also very good. The semester exams at this college are very difficult because they check our mark sheets very carefully.

Academic feedback on Shyamlal College.

Faculty: When I was a student, I found the course mediocre level. Statistics and econometrics were such subjects that I found new but my faculty was pretty good. She provided the notes and gave the assignments to make us familiar with the subject. The course curriculum is pretty decent, and I really enjoyed the course. Semester exams were difficult. If students are preparing at the end of the exams, they'll suffer a lot, especially in subjects like mathematical methods of economics, statistics, econometr...

Yes it's a decent college .

Faculty: The professors are very qualified and knowledgeable. If I talk about professors of commerce, they are very qualified and kind. They take classes regularly and skip very little. The Professor of business law is my favorite as she teaches us in different ways.

Actual reality of a DU college .

Faculty: Semester exams in the college are too difficult as the students need to get passing marks in both internal and external. And internal marks are 70 out of which at least 40 should be scored so that students get passed. In the external examination as well, which is 90 marks, students need at least 30 to 35 for getting passing marks overall.

Actually, I recommend not taking admission here. Teachers are very rude, and placements are bad.

Faculty: The teachers were not at all helpful. They were lazy. Some of the teachers come to the class in a sleep mood, and you all know nobody can teach in a sleep mood. We can say the course curriculum is somewhat relevant. The difficulty level of exams is moderate.

It's not really a good college, and the location also is not so good with few events.

Faculty: Teachers don't even complete the syllabus, which makes it harder for students. It does not make students industry-ready, and the exams are much tougher, which severely impacts students. The teaching quality is not so good, and the pass percentage is 33%. It becomes difficult for students to complete the syllabus.

Average college. Not the best but definitely not the worst.

Faculty: Talking about the teachers, they were most definitely qualified to teach us. The quality of teaching might not have been the best, but it was helpful. They helped us during our examination and provided us with study notes also. The exams, however, were not easy.

Absolutely dissatisfied with the location.

Faculty: The faculty members are good, supportive, and helpful. Classes are held, but most of the time, teachers cancel them at the last moment. If you are a computer science student, you need to do it by yourself. Exams are properly held, and the practical viva and external exams also take place.

I am satisfied and happy with the college.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, trustworthy, knowledgeable, and well-experienced. The course they teach is well-connected with the real manner of life and ethics which gives students a different or optimistic view to see the world. Semester exams are easy but lengthy, so students have to write so much in the exam. The pass percentage is 4-5 SGPA.

Life at my Shyam Lal College.

Faculty: The teachers are too good or helpful for students, and if I have any doubt, I know any teacher will solve it. All the teachers are very knowledgeable or qualified in my semester exam. Is the semester exam hard or not easy? It is moderate, and almost 80% of students will pass in the semester exam. The rest of the students will give the compartment exam and pass in the exam.

It's not the best, but it's not the worst either.

Faculty: The faculty for my course is definitely the highlight — they're knowledgeable, experienced, and always willing to help. However, the curriculum and exams are just average. The course structure could be more modern and relevant to the industry, and the exams are pretty straightforward and don't really challenge you to think critically.

Honest Review on Shyam lal college (Delhi University). .

Faculty: The faculty members of the college are very nice and qualified to teach in the subjects they master. They are not so strict to some extent and do not pressure you to make notes. They are always open to clearing your doubts and are very lenient in giving marks. Their teaching style is also exceptional, as they will teach you from the basics. The semester examination is pretty easy if you understand the concept and solve PYQs. The percentage of students getting passed is more than 87%.
