It's not the best, but it's not the worst either.
Placements: As for placements, I've heard mixed reviews from seniors. Some have gotten decent jobs, while others are still struggling. The college does have a placement cell, but it's not very active. They do invite some companies for campus placements, but the packages are not very impressive.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for my course is average. The classrooms are decent but could be better maintained. The faculty members are knowledgeable, but sometimes the equipment in the labs can be outdated. However, one major drawback is that the college does not have hostel facilities. As a student, I have to commute from my home to the college, which can be tiring and time-consuming. I wish the college would provide hostel facilities to make life easier for students like me.
Faculty: The faculty for my course is definitely the highlight — they're knowledgeable, experienced, and always willing to help. However, the curriculum and exams are just average. The course structure could be more modern and relevant to the industry, and the exams are pretty straightforward and don't really challenge you to think critically.
Other: The college does offer some extracurricular activities, but they're not as frequent or well-organized as I'd like.

Honest Review on Shyam lal college (Delhi University). .
Placements: Our college has a placement cell. Every year, it invites different companies like WIPRO, etc. to provide placement to the students. It helps the students to acquire jobs. The average package is around 400,000 to 500,000 LPA. The highest package is around 800,000 LPA. The percentage of students getting placements is around 40 to 50 percent. Our college also provides internship programs to the students. The stipend is around 4,000 to 10,000 and may vary according to your skills and contribution to the company. For information about these internship programs, you have to contact the college office.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure consists of two buildings for classes, parking, a printing shop, an ATM, a playground, various courts for different sports, a garden, a canteen, an amphitheater, a porch area, club and society rooms, and sports rooms. There is also a library, an auditorium, and labs for different subjects are available. The only thing that our college lacks is hostel facilities. There are no hostel facilities provided by the college to students.
Faculty: The faculty members of the college are very nice and qualified to teach in the subjects they master. They are not so strict to some extent and do not pressure you to make notes. They are always open to clearing your doubts and are very lenient in giving marks. Their teaching style is also exceptional, as they will teach you from the basics. The semester examination is pretty easy if you understand the concept and solve PYQs. The percentage of students getting passed is more than 87%.
Other: I chose this course because it is flexible and innovative, and it allows me to explore subjects other than my core subjects. It also helps me in building a basis for my UPSC preparation. The college arranges a fresher party every year for welcoming new students, and it also hosts a fest at the end of the academic year. You can also join the fests of other colleges that come under Delhi University by showing your ID cards. The college provides scholarships and financial aid.

Shyam Lal College, Shahdara.
Placements: The placement facility at this college is very poor. The highest package for a B.Com student is ₹30,000 per month, and the percentage of students who got internships is only 10%. This college increases the fees year by year; I paid ₹20,500 in the first year, ₹22,500 in the second year, and ₹24,500 in the third year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for courses is good because many teachers who teach in SRCC-like colleges have migrated to our college, Shyam Lal. I gave 3 stars for the course, but there is no hostel in this college for students, so I gave 0 for hostel facilities. The department of courses needs to improve.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and well-qualified, with good knowledge. Their communication skills with students are also very good. The semester exams at this college are very difficult because they check our mark sheets very carefully.
Other: I chose this course because I want to work in large companies. Events and fests are held every 2-3 months, and the campus surroundings are very pleasant, with plenty of trees and plants.

An Interesting Picture of Shyam Lal College.
Placements: Usually, the students of the B.Com course have more than 6-7 CGPA grades annually. Placements depend on the performance of the students and their academic results or grades. With B.Com, anyone can enter the accounting, law, or management fields, and also internship programs are often seen to be provided to students.
Infrastructure: The college has a Wi-Fi connection all over the campus. Classrooms are clean and big enough to accommodate a large number of students. The infrastructure of the college is nice. The library has almost every type of book needed in any of the courses provided. There are gardens and a number of plants and trees.
Faculty: The faculty is nice, and the teachers are helpful and highly responsible for their work and duty. All the teachers of every faculty are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They have a nice way of teaching, keeping the students interested in their classes and lectures.
Other: The crowd is manageable and friendly and scholarships are provided to the eligible students.

Review of Shyam Lal College (Delhi university).
Placements: I am the core member of the placement cell of Shyam Lal College, and our cell tries to reach out to HR of all the big companies to invite them for campus drives. Although the recruitment ratio is lower as candidates aren't satisfied with the job opportunities they get as it's not a well-reputed college on the North campus.
Infrastructure: The college comprises two buildings, with 2 playgrounds, a nursery, a library, science labs, 3 computer labs, and at least 2 staircases with washrooms on every floor. The college is well maintained by authorities, and the cleanliness of the college has helped it gain NAAC A+ rating as well. But it doesn't provide students with lift and air conditioning facilities in regular classrooms. And also, projectors placed in classrooms are not working many times.
Faculty: All the faculty members are Ph.D. holders and doing research work as well along with their teaching careers. As well as the office staff, they aren't very cooperative, as they are very strict with the office timings and sometimes often work as SBI bank staff members.
Other: Overall, the college is very average.

Actual reality of a DU college .
Placements: College has diverse courses and all the streams, which are science, commerce and arts. The highest package for which a candidate was placed from college was about 12 LPA. But on average, only 10 to 20 percent of students are getting placements and more of them usually get around 4 to 6 LPAs only. And the rest might get internships for experience .
Infrastructure: Infrastructure facilities aren't so good in the college. Although whiteboards are being installed in every classroom. Projectors placed in classrooms aren't working at all. Teachers tend to take online classes whenever they don't get labs for practical classes. Moreover, there are 3 labs in college and only 2 are working in the 3rd lab; there aren't laptops working, not even a proper chair for sitting. The canteen is having average food now but with a lot of humidity in it as it's not having enough fans and AC to control the heat inside. But the library of the college is amazing, with proper air conditioning and comfortable chairs on the first floor; the library on the ground floor isn't so well maintained.
Faculty: Semester exams in the college are too difficult as the students need to get passing marks in both internal and external. And internal marks are 70 out of which at least 40 should be scored so that students get passed. In the external examination as well, which is 90 marks, students need at least 30 to 35 for getting passing marks overall.
