The placement in the mechanical branch is very less as compared to EC or CS department, But when compared to other colleges in this region it is good.

    The Honest Review About SIT.
Placements: The percentage of students placed this year in my course is almost 95%. The highest package offered is 31 LPA, the lowest package offered is 2 LPA, and the average package offered is 8 LPA. The top recruiting company is Oracle. The percentage of students getting internships is almost 90%. The top roles offered are in the fields of software engineering, full stack development, AI development, frontend, and backend.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided by my college are well and good. The library is well-maintained with all the books required for the course. The classrooms are well-maintained, and Wi-Fi works well. The computers in the lab are updated on time. Talking about the hostel, the food is below average, the rooms are not so well-maintained, and the washrooms are poorly maintained, which is very sickening, mainly for girls staying in the hostel.
Faculty: Very few teachers are highly qualified. Teachers stick to the textbook rather than exploring out of the box. The curriculum of this course is enough to help students become industry-ready. The semester-end exams are not so tough if we study the materials and resources provided by the faculty. The pass percentage is around 90%.
Other: I joined the Computer Science and Engineering branch because it is the best course that matches my interest in coding, and the faculty of my course is well-trained. The things I wish would be improved are reducing the sticking to textbook teaching. Regarding events and fests, every year there are only two fests: Spandana and Halcyon. The campus is filled with greenery, and there is a good crowd of people. There are many technical and non-technical clubs, such as technical clubs like IEEE, SIT SB, Decoders, Soaring Eagles, etc., and non-technical clubs such as three theatre clubs, two dance clubs, and one music club.

    Good, nothing significant negative aspects.
Placements: My college provides good placement opportunities. The average package per year is 8 Lacs. In the last year, the highest package was 42 LPA, but this year it has reduced to 32 LPA. Total companies offering placements were 199. Many more companies are visiting this year, and one company did mass recruitments for around 150 people.
Infrastructure: The college is full of greenery. Faculty are so friendly. I got very good friends, we have good Wi-Fi facilities, good classrooms, and the library has rich volumes. The food is getting better day by day, medical facilities are good, and we have a health center where staff are available always to treat patients. Sports and games are encouraged, and participation in national and other levels is also encouraged.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The majority of them are Ph.D. holders. Teaching quality is good, but some are not up to the mark. The course curriculum is great, and additionally, they are teaching extra courses too. Semester exams are easier comparatively, but the evaluation criteria and CIE are not hard.
Other: I joined the Computer Science & Engineering branch because it is the best course which matches my interest in coding, and the faculty of my course are well-trained professors who explain the concept in a very interactive way and create interest in the course. The exams will be conducted at a regular time period of 2 months, and the semester will run for 6 months. The exam difficulty level is moderate.

Review of Siddaganga Institute of Technology.
Placements: Placements are usually good as long as you are in a good branch. In 2021, the highest package was 41 LPA, which was given by Intuit. In 2022, it is reduced to 31 LPA, which was given by Oracle. So as long as you are an above-average student, you will get the placement. But if you want to have a top catch, you must work hard, learn coding, attend hackathons and make unique projects.
Infrastructure: First of all, keep in mind that this is an old college so do not raise the bar too high before coming here. The infrastructure is quite old, except for some buildings that were built later. In simple terms, I do not recommend it to anyone. The food is pathetic and the hostel is very hygienic.
Faculty: Personally, in my department, which is ECE, teachers are very strict. If you even come 3 minutes late to the class, the teacher will not allow you, and since the college has a strict 85% attendance policy, it would become a big problem for you afterwards. You can generally leave up to four classes, depending on the credit of the course.
Other: The college has clubs that provide coding competitions almost every month, which will help in developing coding skills that will eventually help you in your placement. The fest is below average, and the music played is mostly in the regional language. The campus has a lot of greenery, and it is huge. You can get a scholarship here if you are a top performer in the entrance exam that you took. There are also sports activities that happen. Cricket is the most popular, followed by basketball and football.

Good infrastructure and facilities by the college but poor hostel facilities.
Placements: The percentage of students placed every year is almost 95% in my course, i.e., Computer Science and Engineering. The highest package offered this year is 31 LPA and the lowest package offered is 1 LPA. The overall average package offered is 8 LPA. This year, the top recruiting company is Oracle Bangalore. The percentage of students getting internships is almost 80%, and this time, Visa company recruited the most interns. Top roles offered by this course are Software Developer, Front End, Backend, and Full Stack Developer.
Infrastructure: Facilities available in my department are well and good. Classrooms are well maintained, computers are updated on date, and Wi-Fi works well. Coming to the hostel, the facilities are below average. No proper infrastructure, no proper maintenance, rooms are very old, no renovation, bathrooms are very poorly maintained, and it's hard for girls to survive there. The food menu changes every week in the hostel. The food taste and maintenance in the hostel are below average. Many people do not have breakfast in the hostel.
Faculty: Very few professors are highly qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. Many of the assistant professors are not so helpful and knowledgeable. Coming to the course, the course curriculum is relevant to the course, and it surely helps students become industry-ready. Semester exams are not so tough if students study well. Teachers provide notes, PPTs, questions, and previous year papers, which help us during semester exams. The pass percentage is around 85%.
Other: I joined the Computer Science & Engineering branch because it is the best course that matches my interest in coding. The faculty of my course are well-trained professors who explain the concepts in a very interactive way and create interest in the course. The exams will be conducted on a regular time period of 2 months, and the semester will run for 6 months. The exam difficulty level is moderate. Talking about improvement in my course, I would suggest more research on today's technology as it is getting advanced day by day. Life on campus is vibrant and enriching, offering students a blend of academic rigor, social engagement, and extracurricular opportunities. There are many technical and non-technical clubs. The most enjoyable events are Halcyon and Spandana, which are held every year. I have joined the Aurora Club, a non-technical club, where I learned many things. Scholarships are provided for those in need.

The college is good for its placements, internships, and infrastructure.
Placements: The Computer Science students get 100% placements every year. The highest package was 31 LPA and the average package offered is 8 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, and Amazon, and there are 150 more. Almost 70 percent get internship offers in this course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the hostel is very good. The rooms are cleaned every week and the workers listen to every problem. There are many facilities like laundry, hot water, and Wi-Fi. But the only problem is that the food of the hostel is not good at all.
Faculty: The lecturers are very helpful and highly qualified in every single subject, and the quality of the teachers is very good. They help each and every student who wants to study. They also make them industry-ready. The semester exams are a little tough, but it can be managed.
Other: I chose this college mainly for placements because the college offers 100% placements every time and the campus is so huge, which is 65 acres.

Join SIT for placements, not for a good college life.
Placements: Mostly, 85 percent of students are placed in SIT. However, only the upper branches, up to ECE, have a placement rate of 90 percent. Branches below ECE only receive a 60 percent placement rate. Top recruits in SIT include Redbus, Oracle, Texas Instruments, Comvault, Junglee Rummy, TCS, and Infosys. Almost 60 percent of students receive internships here. The highest placement offered is 34 LPA from Comvault, and the lowest is 4.2 LPA from TCS.
Infrastructure: Almost each branch has its specific department building. The classes and campus are well-equipped with projectors and Wi-Fi. Hostels are not very good and are not to be appreciated. The mess food is awful, and if you are from North India, you will spend a significant amount of time eating outside the hostel. Wi-Fi is only available for 4-5 rooms per floor. Medical facilities are limited to paracetamol. However, there are plenty of options for sports, including table tennis, badminton, a well-equipped gym, football, cricket, basketball, and tennis grounds.
Faculty: The curriculum is outdated, and the faculty are very rude. They focus solely on studies. To achieve good grades in the semester, be mindful of the limited facilities. The teaching quality is moderate. The curriculum is outdated, so you will need to learn many things on your own. The semester exams are relatively easy; you just need one night to prepare.
