The placements were not good, and few of the rules were annoying. Rest everything was okay.

Placements: The placements in SIES are not good, but for previous years, it was fine. In our batch, hardly 20% students are placed. The highest package is 5-6 LPA, and the lowest is 1.8LPA. The college provides no internship, and all IT-based companies visit our college. The average package offered is 3.5LPA.

The college is excellent from studies point of view.

Placements: The placement seemed to be quite disappointing for all the branches except computer science and IT department. The job profile is mainly for graduate engineer trainee, but also there were some marketing jobs too. Senior batches had mass recruitments, but now it is slowly decreasing.

Comparatively, the less freedom is given to the students in case of extracurricular activities.

Placements: The placement cell is doing a wonderful job of maintaining a good company database. Open pools are organized as well, where the people from neighbouring colleges can attend the placements organised by that company. TCS has stopped visiting from the last year, but the companies like L&T, Cognizant are the top recruiters.

Life as a student @ SIES GST.

Placements: There are adequate placements provided by the college. Most of the students were placed in the companies like TCS, Capgemini, L&T Infotech and Ingram Micro. There are a lot of other companies as well as the pool campuses that happen as the part of the placements. The roles offered are of developers and depends on the company. In my year, the minimum salary offered was 3 LPA and the maximum offered was 5 LPA. The internships were not provided by the college, though right now the college has start...

The best college for the faculty.

Placements: The placements in our college are good with a decent package per annum. Almost every year 95% of the students from our college get placed in the reputed company. The packages are 3-4 lakhs per annum. One or two students were selected with a package of 14 lakhs per annum in the year 2014 from our senior batch. Companies like Microsoft, TCS, Wipro, Infotech etc., often comes to our college every year.

The lowest package offered is 3 lakhs P.A. 4. Companies that visit are Reliance Jio, Cadbury and a few more. 5. Many of my seniors are doing internships and freelancing as well.

A really good infrastructure and coordinating staff members. Monthly tests to keep you up to date.

Placements: The placements are good and also the alumni made the college famous and therefore, it is recognised outside India as well. The internship courses and the placements provided are good. The staff members are cooperative, tests are conducted to keep the student up to date with the knowledge and the concepts and are very helpful in clearing the doubts. The college provides a good environment and a good crowd and they are helpful as well. Various companies visiting the campus include Mahindra, TCS, S...

A good college for overall personality and career development

Placements: Most of the students get placed in good companies with decent salaries. If one student gets placed in one company then he/she is disallowed to apply for other companies. Hence many people get a chance for getting placed. Overall, the placement rate is more than 80%.

Decent college with opportunities to make the most of it

Placements: The placements were typical of companies at the level of SIES with TCS being the primary recruiter. L&T and quite a few other companies come for placements as well. In my batch, almost everyone was placed. The roles vary from software engineers to testers.

GST - The best days of my life

Placements: Some major mass recruitment happened in my year of passing with TCS taking in almost over 110 students, better than most of the colleges in Navi Mumbai. You were allowed to sit for one and if you get placed, you can't sit for another one unless it is a dream company.

Good infra, nice faculty, amazing crowd (kind of everything you need)

Placements: Placements were average at my time. Mass recruiters like TCS, iGate (which is now Capgemini), L&T and Tech Mahindra ruled the show. Mean salaries were around 3.5 lakhs per annum with job profiles being those of development, testing and support. The training and placement office was headed by a very respected faculty member, this ensured utmost integrity in all processes. Sessions were conducted by TIME for mock group discussions and interviews. We got coaching for aptitude tests as well. ...

Good college experience, and a good place to learn and complete engineering

Placements: The placement opportunities were good. I was among the fortunate few to get the dream companies which came to the campus. The placement officer is helpful and really hardworking. The placement rate was above average in 2014. It had some of the famous IT service companies visiting the campus for mass placements.

A good engineering college with all the necessary facilities available!

Placements: The placements were good. At that time, TCS, Capgemini, Xoriant, and L&T were the notable companies which came for the batch. TCS picked up a huge number of students. Around 110 students were placed in TCS itself. The highest package offered was 5 lacs per annum by Xoriant.

SIES GST - Study & play both matter.

Placements: The placement coordinator was good. She managed to bring quite a bunch of companies. But as usual, only IT companies did well. Others were not good. Companies like TCS and such made bulk placements of around 100 students in one shot. The pay package remained around 5 LPA and below.

Decent college with good faculty and placements

Placements: Placements are what matter the most for any aspiring engineering student. At SIES, you can be assured of 95% placement for IT and computer departments having various recruiters like TCS, Capgemini, L&T, Tech Mahindra and a few startups picking up quality students and offering good roles like system engineer, Java developer, etc. The average package of bulk recruiters ranges from 3 to 3.5 lacs per annum. It would be highly recommended for the students to do a Java certification and get placed at ...

SIES GST- My review on my college.

Placements: There's a fairly good TPO in the college which makes sure that most of the students have the opportunity to be placed. Every year, around 10-15 companies visit the college and I would say around 60-70% people get placed easily. Almost all the IT companies that come offer the post of a software engineer or the equivalent in their firm. The salary range in my year was from Rs. 315000 to Rs. 450000.

SIES GST- A world in itself

Placements: Most students get placed in mass recruitment drives held by service-based companies like TCS, Capgemini, or L&T. Barring these, the college attracts a wide variety of companies which offer a standard package offered to freshers. The training and placement cell does a commendable job of preparing and counselling the students regarding the placement process to streamline their experience.

Good teachers, decent crowd and many opportunities

Placements: All the main mass recruiters came for placements along with A lot of dream companies. Also, there were placements in the eighth semester which don't happen for a lot of colleges. All the companies also didn't make the students wait long for the joining date.

Placements: Students were decently placed with an average salary being approximately 3.2 lakhs per annum, the highest being 4.5 lakhs and the lowest being 1.5 lakhs per annum. More than 70 percent of the batch got placed via the campus recruitment drives mostly in IT companies as a software engineer.
