A good option if your scope of college is limited within Navi Mumbai

Placements: Placements are good as compared to most other colleges in Navi Mumbai. The most common recruiters are TCS, Igate (now Capgemini) Zycus, L&T and Tech Mahindra. Salaries range from 3-4 LPA. Students from computers/IT had slightly better offers. Most mass recruiters will provide you with on job training and will designate you with profiles ranging from developer to menial excel sheet updating, so choose your projects wisely once you get onboard with your job. The college didn't provide with interns...

The college is, overall, good with great crowd and facilities.

Placements: The placements were not many. Around 10 companies visited SIES in total for my batch. Majority of the companies recruited students with 60%+ aggregate only. Very few other companies accepted students with 55%+. The main companies that visited were TCS, IGate, Tech Mahindra, L&T, etc.

SIES - A great place to learn and grow up.

Placements: The placements were average at a time, which was back in 2014. The mass recruiters like TCS, iGate (which is now Capgemini), L&T and Tech Mahindra ruled the show. The mean salaries were about 3.5 lakhs with job profiles being those of software development, digital marketing, SEO etc. The training and placements office was headed by the extremely respected and efficient faculty members; this ensured utmost integrity in all processes. The initial sessions were conducted by the T.I.M.E. for mock GD...

A decent college but nothing to say wow.

Placements: Placements were quite good as 90-95 percent of the batch got placed and the major companies which come to the campus were from IT sector like TCS, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, etc. There were a few core companies for electronics and telecommunication and also for printing and packaging. The average package was around rs. 3.2 lacs PA and the highest was around Rs. 7 lacs PA. The college didn't facilitate any internships and the students had to try it for themselves. Majority of the intern...

A dissatisfied four-year journey.

Placements: The placements in SIES GST are really very bad. Until the last year(ie., for students who graduated in 2016) the placements were close to 100%. But this year the placements were really bad, especially for students from electronics and telecom and mechanical. Placements for IT and CS were still better (their maximum pay package was approximately 5.2 lakhs per annum). For electronics and telecom companies like LnT, Capgemini, Cactus, Alepo Technologies, Zycus, Endurance, and Byjus visited. TCS and...

A complete engineering experience with a perfect balance among all the elements of college life.

Placements: Around 45% of the students were placed. The placements are great for high scorers, and below average for average scorers. Some companies provide top notch packages while some are standard. The faculty team is really helpful when it comes to placements. Second and third-year students are trained under aptitude tests. A really supportive environment is there when it comes to placements.

Good college, less placements.

Placements: The placements are decent. Very few dream companies come for recruitment. The average salary would be around Rs. 20000. Top companies coming for recruitment would be Tata, Dabur, Temple packaging. The college provides a full-time internship in the final year. The stipend depends on the company. The college doesn't assure us about the stipend.

Satisfied with education as well as other facilities. Management was superb

Placements: The placement was good and most of the students got placed in IT MNC. Placement drives were conducted successfully and the highest package offered was 5 lacs/annum in an IT firm. The roles offered through placements were software engineer, marketing executive, etc. MNCs like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Zorient, etc conducted the drive.

SIES - certainly not for engineering!

Placements: The placement was really pathetic, to say the least. The Training and Placement professor from our department was so inefficient in bringing any companies and so efficient in promises that all students had to search for jobs on their own after the completion of their BE. The only chance we got was Schindler, after the completion of college in which the students did not know how the eligible candidates were chosen for the interview (HR). Schindler picked one from our batch with a package of 3.3...

Good place to learn and nice crowd.

Placements: The college has a good history of placing students. In our time most of the students got placed in IT companies. 80-90% students get placed, rest opt out to prepare for GRE or go directly for MBA. The highest package was 6 lakh in our time. The average package hovered around 3-4 LPA. 75% attendance is compulsory and very strict.

A college to be considered in Navi Mumbai.

Placements: The placement cell is really very good at SIES GST and gives its best shot to make sure most of the or all of the students get placed and have a good start to their career. The placement cell also conducts extra sessions to prepare for placements and design a good Resume.

Good faculty, need big Infrastructure. Overall, a good experience.

Placements: Placements are average. 60 to 70% students are placed in bulk recruiting companies. The average salary offered is 3.5 LPA, highest being 7 LPA and the lowest being 2.2 LPA. TCS, TechM, Igate, LnT are some of the companies. Most of the companies are IT based or marketing based. Internships are to be found on your own.

SIESGST at a glance for technical enthusiasts.

Placements: Nearly 100% placement target is achieved. Also, many of the students opt out of this criteria as they wish to pursue higher postgraduation studies such as MS/M.Tech. But on an average, everyone in the 2015 batch had an average package of around 3 to 3.5 LPA, and the highest was around 5 LPA. Companies offer diverse profiles and as far as the final year industrial project is concerned, the students have to fetch them on their own.

Good for people looking to learn. Placements are not good.

Placements: The students are placed mainly in IT sector. Companies like TCS, L&T, Vertusa come to the college for recruitment. There are not many core placements. The average package offered is 3-4 lakhs. This was in 2013. Things may have changed since then. Mechanical field was introduced in 2012, so some companies related to that field might be coming too.

Recommended for IT engineering and the return on investment is good.

Placements: The placement of my batch was almost 80% and they also help in finding placement for students below 60% aggregate. The minimum package was of 3.18 lacs and the maximum goes till 4.12 lacs. They bring in top companies like -TCS, Tech Mahindra, Syntel, Cognizant etc. The job of software engineer was offered. No internship is provided by the college but you can apply on your own provided it is in line with final year project.

Satisfied with the faculty and good placements.

Placements: Placement of my batch is very good and about 80% of students got placed. TCS recruited 120 students from my batch, and the bulk recruiters are TCS, L&T, Tech Mahindra and I-Gate. The placement till 2016 is very good, and all the students get a chance of applying for jobs here. And one more important thing is that your pointers or % should be more than 60 so that you can apply for the bulk recruiters.

Lightweight, but quality education and full of fun.

Placements: Very few recruiters are looking for the electrical engineering students, but there are good placements for IT and CSE though. Then again, the situation is the same almost everywhere in Mumbai. In my time, the average salary offered was around 3.2 lacs per annum with TCS being the major recruiter. Reliance and ZTE came for the people interested in the networking domain, but there were none for hardware or embedded software. Other big recruiters include L&T, iGate, Tech Mahindra etc. ...

Highly satisfied because of excellent faculty, crowd, infrastructure and placements.

Placements: There were 90% placements for our batch as well as our senior batch. The average salary offered was around 3-3.5 LPA. The highest offered was around 8-10 LPA. The lowest could have been around 1.8-2 LPA but the number of students getting placed with such low package is usually very less. Companies like IBM, TCS, TechMahindra, ZTE, ZS consultants, etc. come.

Placements: The placements for our senior batch (2015-2016) was very good and almost 90% students got placed. The average salary offered is Rs 300,000 to 350,000. Many students went for higher studies. The minimum salary offered is around Rs 250,000. For our batch(2016-2017), the placements started in the month of August. This year, we had many big companies like DCB Bank and Reliance coming to our campus and the package offered was Rs 500000. In the 7th semester itself, half of the students got placed. T...

Do not waste your precious 4 years and money in this college.

Placements: TCS is the main company for the placements here, while the other companies are not interested and you know that TCS goes to every college which is no big deal. The package is probably from 1.8 lacs to 3 lacs maximum. Do no get overwhelmed, as anyone who knows how to code or become a certified Java programmer can get that much salary easily. The internships are not given any importance by the college, so those students who want to do it, need to do it on their own. No information is given about t...
