Silicon is a perfect place to honour your skills for better and prosperous future.

Placements: Since industries are going through a bad phase, so it has affected the placement record of Silicon, as of now approximately 200 students are placed in different companies, but if you deserve it, you will get the placement. Silicon has a great placement record, at present, it is not that good, but as the market conditions improve the placement records improve.

Good education and average placements.

Placements: The placements are good as compared to other private colleges in Odisha. The core companies nowadays have stopped visiting the campus, for the recruitment process, but software companies like in Infosys, Wipro, Mindtree and some startup do visit for campus recruitment process. Mainly the designations offered are the junior software developer, senior software developer and software testing post. Generally, on an average 35-40% of the students are placed in the campus recruitments. There is a plac...

The faculty and course curriculum are excellent.

Placements: The placement is good in this college. In fact, it is one of the best colleges under BPUT. At that time when the market is down it has already placed around 50% of the students, and when the market condition is good, it can place around 90% of the students. The average package given is around 3.5 LPA.

As for me, this is a very good college with a great campus and facilities.

Placements: The placements are pretty good. The students in both core branches and software branches got jobs. Most of the students from CSE and IT branches got jobs in software industries, while, the students from core branches did government jobs or went for higher studies.

Silicon, Bhubaneswar - Survivor boat for drowning people.

Placements: The placement percentage is good. But very few companies are called to the college. The first two companies take people in mass and then, the rest of the candidates who don't get through in these companies struggle a bit to get a job. I would say even that if you have good knowledge in your domain, your luck factor will challenge you here.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty, good placements in 2017

Placements: The placement was average. More than 50% students got placed last year. The average salary was around 3-3.5 lakhs per year. Different software companies like L&T, etc. came for the placement. Automobile branch students who don't get placed in core companies and instead get placed in IT companies like Amazon, Infosys and much more.

Satisfactory placements in college and cooperative faculty, has a good infra but still developing.

Placements: Good in placements with companies like Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Besides these, other minor startups as Surya Intl., Aptus Data Labs and many others. Also, the college undertakes off campus placements for several companies. The industry interface cell is very active in interacting with companies and is concerned about the students' future.

Silicon- the college beyond teaching.

Placements: Placement is quite better in Silicon, Bhubaneswar branch than Silicon, Sambalpur branch. Software branches have more number of recruiters as compared to the core branch. Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini are the mass recruiters. Overall, the campus placement is good. At last, all the students got placed. Average package is 3.3 lacs per annum.

The location is not good. It's far from the city. There is no Wi-Fi connectivity in the hostel. There is no cafeteria. A few clubs are present. volleyball, cricket, table tennis, badminton, basketball courts are present so it has a good sports environment. The hostel is away from the college and the placement is good. The college is a less crowded place and the faculty members are friendly.

It is best private college in Odisha. Administration and management is very effective. Totally focused on studies. Accredited a grade from naac. Average placement around 80-90 %. Extracurricular activity is taking place regularly. Makes quality education. Teachers are well qualified and supportive. But fee is little high. It has 2 campus, one in Bhubaneswar and and second in Sambalpur. Bhubaneswar campus is good which was established in 2000.

Good in study but not beyond studies.

Placements: Not yet placed. But I heard our seniors being placed in good places we don't have core companies coming for campus but we got IT sectors of Pvt limited coming for placement. The companies coming are giving good payment but not much for the family to have their needs full filled.

Absolutely satisfied of faculty, provided best placements in 2018 and would be looking for more

Placements: Placements were good. Top companies are coming for campus interviews. 68% of students were placed from my batch. The average salary was offered 12k pm. Companies like Tata Motors, Jindal, L&T, AMW, Bharatbenz, Tata Steel. The roles were very common and basically earning good source of income with respect. About 80% students got internship. The lowest stipend offered was 2500 . We have a placement cell and provides various facilities. Its very efficient.

The college keeps its promise of providing 100% placement every year.

Placements: The college keeps its promise of providing almost 100% placement for everyone every year. Job interviews aren't so hard to crack, you need to be smart enough to grab the right company at the right time. The silicon permits everyone only one placement offer. Once you are recruited, you have no other opportunities with the other companies.

There are many clubs that take the responsibility of co-curricular activities in the college.

Placements: The placement of the college is quite average. The highest placement this year was of 6 Lacs which was achieved through off-campus placement. But the average placement in the campus was of 3.5 Lacs. Most of the students of the Computer Science branch were placed in companies like Wipro and Infosys. Only the software companies come to the college for in campus placement.

Silicon is good for studies and placements.

Placements: Placement is average. Approximately 70-80% of students get placed. Maximum information technology-based company come and hire the students. The recruiters are friendly with the students. The college also helps its students for the preparation for placement.

Review of Silicon Institute Of Technology, Sambalpur.

Placements: Companies are not hiring much now, but still, 250 out of 300 eligible students for campus interviews were placed. The rest of the students failed to get placed on campus because of their backlogs. The packages usually range from around 2.5 to 3 Lacs per annum.
