If you really have interest in petroleum engineering then you should take it.

Placements: The main companies that offer placements are - ONGC, shell, infosys, ExxonMobil, reliance (sometimes), Schlumberger (sometimes) wipro (sometimes). These are the core companies and the non core companies are - infosys, Byjus and many other. The highest package is from ONGC - 20 Lacs CTC, shell and wipro - 6 Lacs CTC. The average package stands about 5-6 Lacs with infosys giving 3.5 Lacs CTC. You'll get internships in MNCs based on your CPI or you have to find by yourself which is not that hard.

Best college in Gujarat with well maintained infrastructure and Quality of education.

Placements: PDPU has a dedicated placement cell. Overall placement in PDPU was satisfactory in my batch and my seniors batch. In my batch (2014-18), the highest offered salary was 18 LPA and the lowest salary offered was approximately 3 LPA. Almost all the students got exposure to the internship in well-reputed industries such as RIL, ONGC, Toyo, etc.

Good campus and good placements.

Placements: Placements in our college are good. The packages range from 2 to 7 lacs per annum. All the eligible students in my batch have received job offers. Companies like Future First, Reliance, L&T, Tata Power, Essar Oil, Infosys, Hindustan Power, Reliance Jio, Optimized Solutions, etc., visited the campus.

PDPU: The reservoir of knowledge.

Placements: Placements for petroleum engineering are best every year with a rate of around 90 percent. The highest salary offered is around 20 LPA and the lowest is around 7-8 LPA. Companies such as Reliance, Oil India Limited, Adani, Gujarat Gas and Shell are some of the major recruiters for petroleum engineers.

I'm satisfied with the campus, and it has good faculty, infrastructure and average placements.

Placements: The current placement scenario in PDPU is satisfactory. Placements vary with respect to various departments. Students of the petroleum engineering department receive the highest packages, while the students of other engineering fields receive an average package of 4-5 LPA which is pretty okay.

Knowledge of reservoir and world class infrastructure.

Placements: In PDPU campus placement is quite good. In last 2 years ONGC visiting PDPU for campus recruitment. But except ONGC there is not any core company coming for campus. And apart from ongc there is also some non core company like Infosys, nirma etc. Visiting campus and on average there 4 to 5 LPA salary for up stream students. The highest package offered by ongc is 17.81LPA. Every year almost 40 to 50 students gets internship from college in different companies like ONGC, GSPC, ESSAR CBM, RELIANCE CB...

No placements in petroleum engineering 2016.

Placements: In the petroleum engineering there was two section : upstream ( exploration) and downstream (Refining, processing ). I was in petroleum downstream. Out of 55 student 10 to 12 students placed in core industry. And others had to satisfied with BPO or marketing job which want worth for this course. So I can only give one suggestion please do not take education loan to pay for this university. Jobs in petroleum industry have been minimal through campus placement. Ultimately one has to clear GATE exa...

Placements: In pdpu chemical branch has been started since 2011 with total of 60 intake. Here, in pdpu chemical department has good placement records since 2011. Good infrastructure and facilities but very high fees and less satisfied by placement.

Placements: Placement is quite good for SPT while it's quite less for SOT. Average package for Electrical engineering is aprrox. 2.5 lacs/ annum while the highest package is aprrox. 4.5 lacs/annum. Companies like Torrent Power, L&T, Deepak Nitro, TCS etc. approached till now. Also, Placement Cell of the college is quite nice and efficient.

I am not much satisfied with the college, because of the placements.

Placements: In PDPU, till now, only three batches are out, and the placements are increasing gradually. In the last batch, the maximum placement package offered in the electrical branch is 6 LPA, and percentage of students placed is also increasing. Approximately, 50% students were placed in the last year, and others join M.Tech. Approximately, 20% students are not placed.

Satisfied with everything except experience with the teachers.

Placements: As it was the first batch, the placements were not good, and below expectations though. Some good companies visited, but they only took one or two students. On the whole, 10 to 12 students were placed in the batch of 52 students. But later, in juniors batch, the statistics were improved but not much.

PDPU has got a bright future ahead.

Placements: The placements for the School of Technology were very good few years back, but now, the rate is declining, and people here are concerned about it. New measures are being taken so that students can perform better in the interview. The placement package being offered is also decreasing year by year and has touched new low in last few years. School of technology's students having technological skills are also rejected sometimes, just because lack of communication skills, but petroleum technology ha...

Satisfied with the university, which has good infrastructure. In 2017, the placement was good.

Placements: Around, 80% of the students got placed with the highest package of 18.5 LPA, the lowest of 4 LPA, and the average of 9 LPA. The companies like ONGC, EXXON, GSPC, Reliance, and Schlumberger have visited the campus to hire the students. The roles offered to the students were the reservoir, production and drilling engineer. All the students got the non-stipend internship from the college itself. PDPU has a placement cell, which has brought many big companies to PDPU for the on-campus placements.

The college has the good infrastructure, high fee, and satisfactory faculty members.

Placements: The companies like Torrent Power, Reliance Power, Infosys, etc., are approached the campus for the students. The average package offered is 2.5 LPA, and the highest package is approximately 5 LPA. As the placement depends upon on the students quality, so the placements are done on an average. The placement is not satisfactory at all.

Its a mixed bag having some golden but some bronze coins. One thing I don't like is too high fees.

Placements: Specifically for petroleum engineering, the placements are better than other streams. The placements of our senior batch were about 80% were placed with an average Income of 4-5LPA. This year till now our batch has witnessed 60-70% students placed which would increase by May 2018; having an average income of 6-7 LPA this year. As far as internships are concerned 80-90% students are provided with the internships from college at one of the most reputed companies in India for Oil and gas industry....

If you got placed on campus placements, then it is worth otherwise it is waste of money.

Placements: The placements of SOT is at par. The chemical engineering and mechanical engineering branch placements were very good. In the chemical branch, about 90% of the eligible students got placed. Reputed companies like Honeywell, Chembond, SRF, Jubilant came for placements. Government companies like GSFC, GACL also came for hiring students. The highest placement was of 8 lacs per annum, and the average placement was 3.25 lacs per annum. There is a placement cell.

Placements: The petroleum engineering bifurcated in upstream and downstream petroleum engineering. Th upstream placement is 60% (AVG. 5 lakhs per annum), and downstream 80% (AVG 4 lakhs per annum) for the last year. It varies from year to year, this year, ONGC took around 20 students(18 upstream and 20 downstream).

Mind-blowing infrastructure & sports facilities.

Placements: They placement is decent for you if you are in top 10 of the batch. ONGC was one of the recruiters this year. Majorly Gujaratis with good pointers were recruited. Infosys, TCS, Azure Power, UR Energy, L&T are amongst the other recruiters. Internships are better found by self, not much role is played by the college for the same.

Dissatisfied because of faculty and placements.

Placements: The placements are average, the packages offered are around 3-4 lakhs. Not everyone in the batch gets placed, only 10-20% students get a job in the core companies. Very few core companies visit the campus whose plant is nearby our college. Training and placement cell is working hard but a very good result is yet awaited.
