If you really have interest in petroleum engineering then you should take it.

Placements: The main companies that offer placements are - ONGC, shell, infosys, ExxonMobil, reliance (sometimes), Schlumberger (sometimes) wipro (sometimes). These are the core companies and the non core companies are - infosys, Byjus and many other. The highest package is from ONGC - 20 Lacs CTC, shell and wipro - 6 Lacs CTC. The average package stands about 5-6 Lacs with infosys giving 3.5 Lacs CTC. You'll get internships in MNCs based on your CPI or you have to find by yourself which is not that hard.

Best college in Gujarat with well maintained infrastructure and Quality of education.

Placements: PDPU has a dedicated placement cell. Overall placement in PDPU was satisfactory in my batch and my seniors batch. In my batch (2014-18), the highest offered salary was 18 LPA and the lowest salary offered was approximately 3 LPA. Almost all the students got exposure to the internship in well-reputed industries such as RIL, ONGC, Toyo, etc.

The college has very expensive affairs, good infrastructure, diverse cultures, but poor facilities.

Placements: Placements were quite decent for our batch, but not up to the level for our senior batch. It is mostly attributed to plunging in oil market, and a steep decline in oil prices. For our senior batch, i.e., 2012-2016, almost 60-70% of students from downstream were placed in the semi core and core companies. Overall, placements were around 80% for downstream and comparably less in upstream. For our batch downstream took a plunge, and less than 50% of students are placed in core sectors, and overall,...

Placements in Petroleum Engineering are best. Every year ONGC recruits 11-15 students with 20 LPA.

Placements: Recently, during the time of placements, about 95% of the students from chemical engineering department got placed with the average package of 6 LPA. The highest package offered is19 LPA to Amit Vaghasia. Another great achievement of the department was its great success in GATE exam. Department has many students who performed very well in the GATE exam, and Manav Agrawal got AIR-3 in GATE CH-2019.

Infrastructure and facilities are good. The college also offers many career opportunities.

Placements: The roles offered during the placements are purely technical core roles. ONGC is one of the PSUs that visit the campus every year and recruits more than 10 students. Companies like L&T Technology services, Exxon Mobile, Shell, GSPC, and Wipro, etc., are the major recruiters. Since it's a niche sector, only the companies from the petroleum sector visit the campus for the placement process.

Placements: Placements has been increasing every passing year as many reputed companies visit the campus. College dosen't have a proper placement cell which is useful during the placement period. Placement ratio is around 80-90% and average salary is 6-7 Lacs per annum. Our as well as the senior batch had seen a quite a satisfactory placement. Reliance, Mahindra, Essar, Adani, Wipro are among the reputed companies.
