Is B.E./B.Tech at Sree Chaitanya Institute of Technological Sciences (SCITS) Worth the Investment?

Here's a summary of the pros and cons:

    Pros:

    * Good faculty: Many students praised the teaching quality, saying that professors are helpful, knowledgeable, and qualified.
    * Industry exposure: Although there's no direct industrial experience, students mentioned that they learned various skills and concepts that are industry-relevant.
    * Decent placements: About 80% of students reported getting placed, with the highest package being INR10 LPA and the average package ranging from INR5-6 LPA.
    * Infrastructure: The college has modern Wi-Fi, decent labs, and a library with e-books and online resources.
    * Facilities: Students appreciated the availability of recreational facilities like sports grounds, canteens, and medical services.

    Cons:

    * Limited industrial experience: Some students felt that they didn't receive adequate industrial exposure, making it harder to transition into the workforce.
    * Older equipment: Labs and classrooms had outdated equipment, which hindered hands-on learning.
    * Difficult semester exams: According to several students, the semester exams conducted by JNTUH were extremely challenging, leading to a relatively lower pass percentage.
    * Limited internship opportunities: There weren't any internship programs on campus, although some students managed to secure internships externally.

    Verdict:
While SCITS has its strengths, particularly in terms of faculty and decent placements, it falls short in providing adequate industrial experience and up-to-date infrastructure. Students who value theoretical knowledge over hands-on learning might find the college suitable, but those seeking extensive industrial exposure might want to explore alternative options.

Remember that individual experiences may vary, and it's essential to weigh these pros and cons against your personal goals and priorities before making an informed decision about investing in a B.E./B.Tech degree at SCITS.

    Reality of Sreechaitanya College.
Placements: I am studying in Computer Science (CSC) with specialisation in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI&ML). About 50 percent of the people get jobs in the college placements. The top recruiters are Infosys and some other smaller companies. Most of the people do internships in different companies from the 3rd and 4th year, which is from the college. The top roles offered by the college are web developer and game designer.
Infrastructure: Compared to the past, now our college infrastructure has developed very much because it is going to be autonomous soon. Our college has different labs like the workshop, Physics lab, computer lab, and ELCS lab. Our college also has an in-campus canteen, gym, and medical room. I am not in the college hostel, but I can tell you about it. The college hostel is far from the college, and the mess is average.
Faculty: According to me, the teachers are very helpful and very friendly. They don't show any attitude towards the students most of the time. The faculty is very knowledgeable. They even solve doubts even after theory class. Yes, the course curriculum is very good because right now Artificial Intelligence is taking over the world, so it is very useful. The semester exams are not conducted in college because it is not autonomous right now.
Other: I chose the course CSC because it is very useful in the future because it has a specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. It is the future of the IT industry. I want the college to get better computers for labs because most of them don't work properly and lag very much. Our college conducts different events like Bathukamma Fest and Freshers, along with some other fests like Traditional Day.

Good facilities with good teaching quality.
Placements: 80 percent of the students were placed in our course. The highest package offered is 6 Lacs and the lowest package is 4.5 Lacs. The top recruiting companies for our course are DRDO, ISRO, and HCL technologies. 85 percent of the students got internships from our course in ISRO and HCL technologies. Top roles offered in our course are that of hardware engineer and design engineer.
Infrastructure: The facilities and the infrastructure available for our course include Wi-Fi, labs, neat and clean classroom, along with library facilities. The hostel facilities were so good, the quality of food is also good and we have a mess and a canteen available. We also have medical facilities provided.
Faculty: The teachers were so helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant, it makes the students industry ready. The semester exams are difficult in our college and the passing percentage is 85 percent.
Other: This course has many job opportunities in good companies. The best thing about our course is that it will get us jobs in software and hardware sectors. Practical approach would be better and is required to be improved in our course. Events and fest are conducted in our college. Scholarships and extracurricular activities are provided.

Sree chaitanya institute of technological Science.
Placements: 100 percent of students were passed out every year. The highest package is 10 LPA, the lowest package is 3 LPA, and the average package is 5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TCS, IBM, Sutherland, and many more. There is no internship on campus.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very good to see in a hygienic environment. There are multi-Wi-Fi facilities with high security provided by the management, which are used by only Chaitanya students as well as faculty. There is no hostel at the college, but there are private hostels and rooms around the college.
Faculty: The faculty on campus is a great help to the students. But there is no equipment to use. There is old equipment in every branch. There is no industrial experience for the students on the campus. The semester conducted by the JNTUH is very hard to pass.
Other: I have a personal interest in taking this course on this campus. Events and games conducted by the department are very interesting.

    A moderately satisfactory college.
Placements: Placements are categorized as telecolors, with minimal weight given to companies visiting the college. Overall, it's considered a low-tier college with a placement percentage below 50%, which is not satisfactory. The highest package offered is 7 LPA, while the lowest is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies include TCS, with around 50% of students securing internships. Most of the of the roles offered are in CSE.
Infrastructure: The college offers courses in CSE, Civil, EEE, and ECE. Wi-Fi availability is limited, classrooms are tidy, and labs are acceptable, but the library is subpar. Sports and games are conducted, and hostel facilities are provided with average-quality food.
Faculty: Under JNTUH, exams are conducted twice a year. The course curriculum is relevant, preparing students for the industry. However, the college has a low pass percentage of 70%. While teachers are somewhat helpful, their teaching quality is average, which reflects in the semester percentages.
Other: If you are facing financial constraints, this college could be an option. I chose CSE due to my interest in web development and coding. The course may improve as per the company syllabus. The college hosts superb events and festivals.
