Placement for civil is less compared to other courses, but the overall performance is good.
Placements: In our college, around 70% of students get placement. A top recruiting company is Wipro. Top roles offered in our course were JE, AE, AGE, etc. Salary package ranges from Rs. 15,000-1 lakh per month. In our college, almost 100% of students got an internship from different government and private companies. The placement provided for our course is comparatively less.
Infrastructure: In our college, there are computer labs where we can use the internet. There are also other labs like survey, the strength of the material, environmental, fluid mechanic lab, concrete technology lab. Classrooms are large enough, and each class has a projector and a laptop for teaching. The library is good, and you will find the required books. In our college, the hostel is good and will provide you gym, sports items, etc. Newspaper is available to read, including English and Malayalam. In our college, each student has a separate bed mattress, tables, chairs, table lights, cupboards, etc. There are cleaning staff to clean rooms. The rooms cant be kept closed as there is one warden in charge and staff to create a studying and peaceful atmosphere. At times food is good, and it includes breakfast, lunch, tea, snacks and dinner. The quotation for the food supply is given to an outside group.
Faculty: In our college, teachers are helpful and qualified. They are more friendly, and we can seek their help when needed. They are very good at teaching. Also, about 70-80% of their teaching can be understood just by concentrating in class. The course circular is relevant and makes the student industry-ready. However, little effort had to be put forth by the students themselves.
Other: My course is civil, and I have chosen this course as its main feature is construction and also studying about your surroundings included in this. The placement of our course should be increased. The management supports all kind of events, fest. In our college campus crowd consists of standard no of students and good connectivity is provided. The campus surroundings are aesthetic. Scholarships are given to the eligible groups and the management support extracurricular activities.
