It is a good college for those students who want quality education for a decent fee.
Placements: The placement cell is very enthusiastic and plans frequent placement drives along with interactive sessions on building up soft skills like how to build a CV and practice mock job interviews. Many companies visit our college to hire students. The average salary package offered ranges from 2.5 LPA to 3 LPA. For biotechnology, several R&D positions and QA and QC positions are offered by several laboratories, such as Dr. Lal Path Pvt. Ltd.
Infrastructure: There are well-equipped laboratories for doing master's degree level projects, but the bioinformatics laboratory is not good. All the laboratories for biotechnology, chemistry, physics, botany, and zoology are well maintained. The botanical garden is also well-managed and has all the necessary plants. It is like a forest area, which makes the campus of SGGS green. Hostel facilities are good. Air conditioners and coolers are also available. The food served is hygienic.
Faculty: Our faculty members are well-qualified. Their politeness and patience are impeccable. Our course curriculum favours students being ready for exams like CSIR, UGC, and NET. This course makes students industry-ready. Semestral exams are moderate.
Other: The fee is reasonable. Our college provides scholarships and fee waivers to talented students. Our college has several clubs like photography, debate clubs, NSS, and NCC.

A good college with brilliant faculty members.
Placements: Placements in the college are really good. The college helps students to get placed, and also provides internship opportunities which are great. Many big companies visit the college for placements. Almost 60-70% of the students get placements with good salary packages. Teachers are really helpful to get students placed in good companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is really good. The college provides a Wi-Fi facility, and classrooms are big and fully ventilated. Labs are also good and equipped with all the required equipment. The canteen is also good providing hygienic and fresh food.
Faculty: Faculty members are really helpful. Their way of teaching is really good, and they have the required experience. They share their experiences with students which are really helpful for students. Teachers interact with the students well.

Sggs college sector 26 Chandigarh .
Placements: The college placement is not that great. We are made to fill out a training and placement form at the beginning of the semester, but placements are only offered in the last semester. Few of our seniors have been placed, but the number is very small. The teachers prepare us for government exams, but don't focus on placement. However, the placement cell works well for B.Pharma and diploma students.
Infrastructure: The campus is the best thing about this college. It's big and clean. The classrooms are well-equipped, and the teachers always teach us in the lab. The apparatus are in very good condition. The best thing is that we don't have to share our apparatus or do any experiments by forming any groups. Also, we don't have to buy any books as all the books are available in the library. The hostel is good, and we are served three meals, a snack, and milk in the morning. You pay INR 80,000 per year.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful. They provide handwritten notes and explain everything in detail. The college is also quite flexible if we want to have a side hustle or prepare for competitive exams. The semester exams are moderate, so if we start studying a month before the exams, we can score excellent grades. Also, it's not very hard to pass, as we only need to score 33%.
Other: I attended this college and I thought the crowd was okay. There were a lot of students who weren't that serious about studying, which can sometimes bring down a college's reputation. But the teachers were excellent. They required students to give presentations and seminars, and they took us on visits to industry and large labs. I just wish the semester was longer, like six months instead of four. The college holds a youth festival every year, and our college wins many awards at the zonal level.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of the faculty.
Placements: From my senior batch, till now, there has been a placement of one student only. The salary was also not good. No biotech-related company visited the college due to improper management of the college and department staff. Only a few students got an internship from the college. A very bad college in terms of placement.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi service is available, but do not work properly. The classrooms are dirty, the labs are not updated with the broken and expired material. There are no medical facilities. No sports events are organised in the college. The canteen is good, but the variety of food available is very less and not of good quality. The hostel rooms are fine. Labs, class and even library are in poor condition.
Faculty: The faculty are really very bad and the worst part of this college. The teachers are very aggressive and do not know even to teach properly. The teachers do not care about the performance of students but care a lot about what they wear, where they go after college and all such rubbish. Nobody can even argue because then they reduce their internal assessment marks.
Other: The college is very indisciplined due to the crowd. The college student parties always create disturbances. The college provides good value courses, but due to improper management and careless staff, the college is lagging behind. The location and environmental conditions are good. The college ground is small and not even properly levelled.

Staff members are excellent, and the infrastructure is also good.
Placements: The placement cell arranged a particular job fair for each of the streams. The selection is on the basis of personal interview. The salary offered is not fixed as it is based upon the experience. All types of companies visited the college, and about 70% of the students get placed from campus. There is a placement cell on the campus which is very useful for students.
Infrastructure: The campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled, and there are smart classrooms. Quality of food is good, and hostel rooms are also good. I did not face any type of issues. Labs are full of apparatus, and the library is very good. Every sport is available in this college. Classrooms are neat and clean, and each department has a separate floor.
Faculty: Faculty members of this college are very helpful, qualified and very supportive. Their way of teaching is excellent, and they used smart classrooms for teaching. We get industry exposure as we go through the research centre and learn how to deal with the instruments.
