The college, infrastructure, and hostel are good.

Placements: Some companies come to the campus for the placements. In my senior batch, no interviews are going on. While we were studying, only campus interviews held. Some of my friends told that they don't get a call from the company. After finishing the college, there are no calls and emails from the corresponding company.

It is a right choice for your academics.

Placements: About 50% of the students got placed in the previous batch. In our batch, 70% of the students are placed. The highest salary package is 4 LPA, and the average is 2 LPA-3 LPA. Many startups visited our campus. Amazon is the only company which visited our campus. Trainees, technical consultants and associate software engineering roles were offered.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty and good placements in 2023.

Placements: Very few students are placed in our college. Their packages are also low. No, it doesn't tie up with recruiting companies on our campus. The lowest percentage of students got internships for our course and at good companies. I didn't expect a top role offer from the placement.

Dissatisfied with the faculty members.

Placements: Very few core companies are coming for placements, and others are non-core companies. My senior got placed in BPO company, and some of them got placed in non-core companies. For our batch, the company related to chemical engineering has come and very less has placed.

This college meets your requirements

Placements: They concentrated more in core companies, develop our internal skills and have special coaches. They promote each and every student to the next level with their best efforts. All the best companies like Tnq, HCL and smart companies come for placements.

Dissatisfaction is due to faculty members.

Placements: As there are good placement opportunities available in our college, other college students can also visit our college campus for off-campus drives often. Top recruiting companies from our college were TCS, HCL, L&T, EY, and Deloitte. Our college also provides internship opportunities to students.

Continuous improvement is required for the benefit of students.

Placements: Placements were below average during the year 2015. A couple of companies which visited the college were BPOs, KPOs and call centers which were of no use to an engineering student. The college doesn't offer any internship to students. Placements might have improved since then but I am not sure about it.

Not the best of placements.

Placements: It is not up to the mark. There are a few software companies which visited but still not the popular ones. There are absolutely nil placements for mechanical and automobile. But, the college has a tie up with TIME for soft skill development and placement training. The situation might have improved now, but many students from my batch have found a job off-campus. Some have opted for higher studies like me (currently pursuing MS Automotive in the University of Leeds, UK). The IT companies which vi...

Sri Ram College is located 36 km away from Chennai in an area called Veppampattu. The college is quite difficult to reach by road but Veppampattu Railway Station is nearby and makes it easy to reach. Students staying nearby commute by their own vehicles or other road transport but a majority of the crowd use the local trains. Placements at SREC are below average. A couple of big IT companies like Infosys & CTS and a few other small time local IT firms come here for recruitments. Very few studen...

I am of 2011 ECE batch. Its wonderful college life. Because I got lot of knowledge and PRACTICAL experience. The good things in my college is our staffs. They are friendly and their teaching skill is best. Our college is near to veppampattu station.so it take just 5 mins at walking dist. canteen facility are average. Not so good in our canteen. Placements are the best in our college. Last year 80% of students are placed in well reputed companies. Fees structure are comfortable to middle class pe...

College atmosphere was nice. But quality of education and practical knowledge given was not up to the mark. Infrastructure and quality of education, Practical education should be given more importance and students should be provided campus interviews. It was not there at the time when I studied.

Not good standards to study Engineering.

Placements: Placement is available, but KPO companies like CSS Corp will come. It is not relevant to what we expect after completion of Engineering Degree. They should take initiative to ask even second tier and third tier relevant companies to come to college campus. Many of the students passed in first class.
