B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2016
Offered by SSJ Engineering College (SSJEC)
1.8

Placements are not good, and absolutely dissatisfied with the overall performance of the college.
Placements: We don't have many placements in our college. The placement drives held here are not valuable. The placements held in 2016 were very least. Firstly, they offer placements, but they provide internships for the offered position. Some companies don't offer good packages.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for ECE are very bad. Wi-Fi is not good, and the labs are very bad. The classrooms have very few facilities. Sports and games are not up to the mark.
Faculty: The teachers are not much helpful. They are not well-qualified. They are not knowledgeable, and they don't solve students' doubts. The course that I studied here is not relevant to the curriculum. It doesn't make the students industry-ready.
Other: The campus crowd is low. Campus connection is poor. The college provides scholarships to the students.

Review of SSJ Engineering College (SSJEC).
Placements: About 5% of the students from our course got placed. The highest salary offered was Rs. 30,000 per month and the lowest salary offered was Rs. 10,000 per month. Top recruiting companies for our course are Tech Mahindra and Cognizant, and the software engineer was top role offered in our course. The highest salary package offered in our course is 4 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. About 10% of students got internships, and the majority of them got in BHEL.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi facility, but the labs were good for our branch. The library has plenty of books to study. There is no hostel, and the canteen was not good. They serve only meals, and that too only vegetarian food. Sports and games were not at all up to the standards. Medical facilities were never provided.
Faculty: Teachers here were helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality was excellent. All the teaching staff members of the electronic and communication engineering branch were very good. The course curriculum was relevant, but it doesn't make students industry-ready.

It is a good college, but it could have been much better.
Placements: I am a pass-out student from 2016 batch of the mechanical stream. During my time, top recruiting companies were Amazon, Google and Accenture. Students from Sri Devi women's college and our college students were clubbed during campus interviews. The motto of our college was Half knowledge is dangerous to progress.
Infrastructure: The college provides a Wi-Fi facility. Labs are very good, and apart from the mechanic fluid and computer science lab, every other lab was perfect. We used to wear formals on every lab day. There was a good canteen which serves food at a minimal cost. The college provides a very good public transport system as well, which will be helpful for all the students.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college were very helpful, informative and always ready to share information. Faculty members and the lab attendees were always supportive and informative.
Other: The college conducts annual day celebrations every year in May.

Obviously dissatisfied with the degree from this college because of no placements and no enjoyment
Placements: There is no such word we listened to during our year of completion. Nobody from the management and from the lecturers will take care of students' future that starts from the placement module. No guidance for the students, for example, what course must be taken and when it should be started and in which way it is easy to achieve goals. No information and preparation for placements of BPOs. Mostly 2 to 3 companies come with offers of 1.20 LPA. I even don't know whether such companies are there in the real world and the students who are selected had got offer letters are not. There is no placement procedure.
Infrastructure: Coming to infrastructure in our college, by seeing, the college is very big but the classrooms are not that much well-furnished with some difficulties of no sunshine, no projector screens for PPT's, no practical experience we get from them. Labs of some subjects have equipment which is not enough for all the students and some of them will not work well. No experienced lab technicians will guide the students who have more knowledge compared to them. Lab marks are allotted to students who are in favour of the lecturer without any knowledge. No Wi-Fi facility is there in the college, no medical facilities and no sports except for any event. There will be a feeling of a school student only without any college experience and fun. The library has a minimum number of books which are useful.
Faculty: Faculty members are B.Tech-completed or M.Tech-pursuing students who play games with students and just entered a professional degree course. Except for a few lecturers, the rest of them have average teaching capability without a content. They prepare and write on papers and they bring them to class and by seeing them, they teach the students. If any student asks a doubt which is not there in that paper, they say that they will explain it tomorrow, and that doubt goes in vain. The student to faculty ratio is very poor such that the faculty members for one branch teach all the branches of that subject. No such industry exposure to the students and the course curriculum is not useful for anything.
Other: Don't be tempted by seeing the established year of the college in their websites. It is not that in Hyderabad and it formerly belonged to Mahabubnagar. No events will be done for enthusiasm. To be frank, an engineering student will be like a student who came from a village. Coming to projects for final-year students, they will not be practical and the theory of the project book must be submitted on time and they cut the marks, being partial to close students.

Genuinely dissatisfied with all infrastructure, faculty, placements in 2015
Placements: At the time we passed out, we got very less placements, i.e. about less than 100 for all branches in the college, those too were BPOs offering up to 1.5 LPA. Some of them offered 96000/annum. Most of them belong to other locations like Chennai, Bangalore, Pune, etc. They offered a trainee role. Some students with an aggregate of 80% searched outside for internships and got a stipend of up to 8000 per month.
Infrastructure: We have a very poor infrastructure such as we have no Wi-Fi facility, The library is with very few books, There is no encouragement in sports and games. We have average labs and classrooms. There is no hostel facility for both boys and girls. We have a very small canteen even 50 students can't sit.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are without knowledge and are partial with students. They are helpful to those who have helped them in certain situations. They only follow one teaching method that is seeing the book and reading what is in it. We have very poor faculty members. For the subject, only 1 or 2 lecturers will be available for all branches.
Other: We have a very poor facility of transport to the college. There is a bit of ragging. Lab marks will be given based on the situation and not the performance many times. There are no social activities for students. We have enough space for a ground but poor encouragement is given in sports and games. Fewer faculty members are very sincere and very helpful to all students in any regard.
