SSN College of Engineering: a mixture of both the best and average of a college.

Placements: I'm in my 3rd year so I'm not sure about the present percentage of students placed but with consideration of the past batches, more than 95% of the students were placed. The highest package this year as best to my knowledge was around 1.17 crores and the lowest was roughly between 3.5-4.5 Lacs. Top recruiting companies for my department are Tata Elexis and a lot of software based companies like fidelity also accept students from my department.

Good faculty and infrastructure.

Placements: Placements for the 2016 batch was quite good. 20-30 people got placed in core electronics companies and the package was also pretty decent. The placement co-coordinator left the college just before our batch placements started and it really ended up in a worse situation with the new person appointed took much time to get in sync with the process, however, all most all of us got placed in one or the other MNCs but not in core companies. The highest package was offered by Amazon (13 LPA) and the o...

SSN College if Engineering - providing an wholesome experience.

Placements: Placements were not up to the expectation. Not many core companies participated and even the few who did were not very eager on selecting candidates. Non-core placements were satisfactory with many options available to the candidates. For Civil students, packages offered was dismal and not upto the expectations.

A good place to study CS/IT but it is affiliated with Anna University.

Placements: The placements vary each year. Bulk recruiters visit every year and take in 1000 students. The core placements include offers from the companies such as ZoomRX, Zifo, HCL, Medical Systems, and very recently Philips has recruited one candidate. Other business development companies and analytics came to recruit many students from the college. The salary packages ranged from 2.5 LPAto 6LPA.

Very good infrastructure, good professors, freedom.

Placements: The placements were quite good. Most of our seniors were placed. Two students from my branch were placed in Amazon for a whopping package of 15 lacs per annum. A lot of students from other branches got some dream offers. Many got dual placements too. Zoho, TCS etc. were some other companies that visited the college. Nearly 40-50% of the students attend internships right from 2nd year. Overall, it was a good placement year.

Wonderful 4 years of life with mixed feelings for the college.

Placements: SSN is an affiliated college of Anna University. I should make it very clear that the placements in SSN are below than that of IITs and CEGs. At the same time, SSN offers the best placements among the 500+ colleges that come under Anna University. Since I am from EEE background, I must say that I am disappointed to see a lot of IT companies coming for placements, but that is the trend. It is very tough to get placed in core companies that come to SSN, because most of the times they end up recru...

The overall atmosphere is good, but everything right from selecting books to learning has to be self started. The laptop is mandatory which is not good for students from a poor background. Technical exposure is good. Getting a good set of friends is the key to having a successful career.

Not bad, infrastructure is good. Good environment. Best communication skills you can get but you have to worry about campus placements, it is not 100 percent guaranteed. So you have to go through your personal experience. Average salary and placements. Worth the money.
