Really good infrastructure and facilities .
Placements: There were not many placement options for my course, B.Sc. Biotechnology. Only about 20% of students got placements. The highest package was 6 LPA, and the lowest package was 2 LPA. The average package was 4 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Nestle and Amul. Very few students got internships from my course in companies like Biocon. The top roles offered were Lab Technician and Lab Assistant.
Infrastructure: The college was well-equipped with many practical labs for Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Geology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, and Computer Science. For my course, we had two labs: one Biotechnology lab and one Molecular Biology lab. We were to perform experiments in both of these labs. The classrooms had whiteboards for visual understanding through PowerPoint presentations. There is Wi-Fi for office work and library work. Our library is accessible to all and has a chapel beside it. The girls' hostel is quite clean and hygienic, but it is very strict regarding timings. The quality of the food in the hostel is average, and that in the canteen is also average. There is a medical room with two nurses, and for emergencies, there is a doctor. There is a basketball court on our campus, and many other games can be played. There is also a gym for hostel students.
Faculty: The teachers from my department were very friendly and approachable. They helped the students in every way possible. All the faculty members were highly qualified, and some of them are even holding doctorate degrees. The teaching quality was very satisfactory. Yes, this course curriculum is relevant, and it does make students ready for the industry, as there are many campaigns held and many orientations held in our auditorium for better preparation. The semester exams are of moderate difficulty. The pass marks for honours subjects are 21 out of 100. The overall pass percentage is 30%.
Other: I chose this course because St. Anthony's College is the first college in the whole North East that introduced the subject Biotechnology. The faculty here is also very good. Biotechnology is a world of science that relates biological ideas with the help of technology. The syllabus pattern is satisfactory and can be improved by arranging topics according to difficulty level. There are many events that are organized in the college every year, like Food Fest, Anthonian Day, MUN, College Week, etc. Scholarships for EWS are provided in the college link, so those who apply for that can get a scholarship from the college.

It is the best college in the state.
Placements: Placements are not provided in our college at bachelor's degree level. At the master's level, there are some placements, but I studied up to B.Sc. level. Most of these placements were offered by the state's department of biotechnology to which our course is registered. Most internships are in biotech companies around India.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available for all students and faculty. Each department has 3 laboratories. General classrooms could accommodate 150 to 200 students. Facilities like canteen, first aid rooms, internet cafe at the library were spectacular. Sports and games were fully exercised and available with the big basketball and tennis courts. An indoor gym and sport room is available on the campus.
Faculty: Teaching quality was excellent. Teachers dive into details and go back to basics when students have a difficult time understanding some lectures. Assignments given were challenging, but it is very useful in deciding the career path for the future and to develop interest through them. All teachers were master to doctorate degree holders with NET. Biotechnology was considered as a professional course which prepares students for industrial jobs.
Other: Biotech was chosen as it was particularly a modern subject compared to other mainstream science courses. It has a scope with discoveries around the world. Placements and summer industrial would benefit students to prepare even more for their future. Scholarships had to be applied and granted when a student gets a certain cut off percentage within the time of the 3 years course. Extracurricular activities were plenty, and fests were held once a year. The campus has good size for the capacity of the college students.
