College Review-a good to go one.
Placements: The placement is quite good. There is a separate and dedicated cell for placements that is responsible for conducting placement preparation workshops to improve coding, technical skills, and communication. The average package is around 4 Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: There is a huge library with over 2000 books from all genres, including references for competitive exams and technical books. The classroom is a separate block for 1st-year and other-year students. There is free Wi-Fi for hostel students with gym, medical, and proper canteen facilities.
Faculty: The faculty is very friendly and ready to help you at all times. The institution follows an autonomous curriculum that completely focuses on equipping skills to sustain in the industry. For every semester, 3 model exams are conducted along with co-curricular activities, with marks to be considered for internal marks.
Other: It is a green and Trinity campus. There are various sports opportunities and extracurricular activities conducted to encourage students and faculty. I chose Computer Science since I was keen on mathematics, and the food here is great with a balanced meal. There are various scholarships provided to students as a part of rewards every year.

The total college fee is between 2,75,000 to 3,65,000.
Placements: Approximately 75% of IT and CSE course students were placed in companies. The lowest package is 3 lakh per annum, the average package is 7 lakh per annum, and the highest package is 18 lakh per annum. Avasoft, TCS, and Accenture are the companies that recruit our students the most. No internships are provided by our college; only interested students seek opportunities outside. Web development and data science are the top roles offered at our college.
Infrastructure: All facilities are kind and good, with our department, classrooms, library, and labs meeting basic needs. The Wi-Fi in the hostel is not too good, but it's fine for the labs. The college is known for its food and placements. Additionally, discipline and other amenities like the canteen and medical facilities are basic; for other needs, we usually have to buy outside. Sports mainly focus on football, basketball, kabaddi, hockey, and ball badminton, as these games have more grounds in our college.
Faculty: Not all staff are great, but most are knowledgeable and have excellent teaching quality. Our college staff mostly align with relevant courses, and only a few help students with future placements. Semesters are sometimes easy and sometimes hard, depending on the paper, with a pass percentage of 45%.
Other: I chose ADS because of my brother, and I've learned a lot about new things. There’s nothing to improve; events and other activities are not impressive but are acceptable.

This college will be good if you are okay with rules and regulations!
Placements: St. Joseph's is one of the good colleges in Chennai—it's good but not great! The positives are actually the placement drive and food. When it comes to placements, they attracted more companies in the past, like during "2020." But now, due to regression, the placement drive is dull all over Tamil Nadu, I guess! Still, an average placement drive is provided by the college. If you have skills, you will be placed in a good company! The industry needs web development professionals nowadays. Many students have secured placements in this technology at this college. The top companies are TCS, AVASOFT, ZOHO, Federal Bank, and a few other good companies! Internships are not provided by the college; we need to search for internships on our own. I am doing Data Science, but it seems like very few are getting placed in that field. Many of the graduates are placed in web development. From 2020 to 2022, the placement percentage was 90%! But now, there has been a minor fall. As per the last year (2024) batch, 60% of students got placed! For the 2024 batch, the highest salary is 14 LPA, the average salary is 6 LPA, and the lowest salary is 3.2 LPA.
Infrastructure: The labs, classrooms, library, and Wi-Fi are good. When it comes to the hostel, there are 4 students per room. The food is among the best in Tamil Nadu, but the fee is high as well! There is a dispensary in the college for medical emergencies, and sports facilities are available only for sports quota students. Don’t expect to play tournaments!
Faculty: The staff is average. The course curriculum is good and makes students industry-ready. It’s not difficult to pass the semester exams. You will have three internal exams and one internal lab, followed by a semester exam and semester lab. Overall, it’s a good experience.
Other: The events are limited! I chose Artificial Intelligence because I thought it was the future, but it looks like I have to rely on web development now.

High Placements, Exceptional Infrastructure and Culinary Delights!
Placements: Minimum 80 percentage of students got placed. The lowest package is 3LPA, average package is 7LPA and maximum package is 24LPA. Mostly students are placed in web development field. They give coding platform like skillrack free for gaining coding knowledge. They also give placement training in our campus. The companies are ZOHO,TCS,AVASOFT, INFOSYS and few other good companies. They also give Internship offers in our campus.
Infrastructure: The labs, classroom, library all are maintained well. They also provide wifi in labs, hostel. The food is minimum, 6 days non-veg in a week. But they ask minimum 1lakh for food. This is the best college for infrastructure, food, hostel . In hostel, they give 4 students per room. Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Cricket grounds are in the college.
Faculty: The faculty is good. They teach atleast 50 percentage of marks scored in exam. The course curriculum is average and definitely it makes students ready for the industry. You will have three model exam and one model lab, it's taken by internals of semester exam. The passing percentage is 45 marks out of 100.
Other: I chose Artificial intelligence and Data Science course for future technology. In this course, you will be gaining more technical skill. Lot of events are scheduled like coding test ,out side faculty for good in those domain knowledge. The festivals are just okay.

Decent and good college for the students, but the placements are a disaster in the current year.
Placements: The passing percentage in this course 86.9%. The highest package offered is 49 LPA and the lowest package is 5LPA. Amazon, Tata, Zoho, and Wipro are the top companies offering the students roles of software engineer, which is the best. The ECE department has very high opportunities of placements and higher salary packages.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi and the classrooms are okay. It is a good place to study and work hard. There is a strict system for the college students. The staff is worse for people to get a clear understanding of the concepts. You could join this college for the food because it is the only good thing here.
Faculty: It has a good teaching staff. There is an autonomous curriculum with a good passing rate, but the exams are tough because of the external questions which are randomly asked subjects in the theory which makes the passing rate low. The teachers are quite close to the students, understand their needs and help them pass.
Other: ECE has the best placements rate. The course provides the correct amount of knowledge required for studying. Extracurricular activities are superb here.

The college is strict and will have decent placements.
Placements: The placement in this college is not great but good. In current final year, till now the highest package is 27 LPA, and note that only very very few can land there. The lowest package is 80 KPA. So it's purely based on how you make yourself prepared for interviews. The average salary will be like 5-6 LPA. The top recruiters are JUSTPAY, FEDERAL BANK, TCS, ZOHO, and AVASOFT.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good and pleasant. They provide Wi-Fi in labs, hostels, ideas, and innovation centers. The library is good and has a decent number of books. You can borrow books from the library for the semester exam preparation using a Bookbank card. One of the pros of this college is MESS. You will have to pay likely Rs. 1 lakh for food and transport. You can't avoid this fee. Whether you are a hostler or a scholar, you have to pay this. But will enjoy the good food. The sports are only for students who entered college by sports quota.
Faculty: The faculties are average. They will tell you what to do. But few teachers are very good at concept explanations. The course curriculum is mostly relevant and makes students industry-ready. The semester exams are not too tough. You can easily get a 7.5 plus CGPA.
Other: Don't expect fests and events in this college.
