Insights of Rajalakshmi Engineering College.
Placements: Around 70% of the students have been placed in software development in companies like ZOHO, TCS, Accenture, Finacle-Infosys, and also Amazon with the highest package of 20 LPA and an average of 5 LPA. In that, 40% of them already got internships and offer letters for the job.
Infrastructure: We got a special lab just for computer science students called Tech Lounge, where it has 3 floors fully equipped with high-end computers like Macs, etc. Every block in our college is equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, and classrooms have smart boards.
Faculty: Teachers here are so friendly. They teach us stuff in an interactive manner, and they also include real-life application examples and case studies in the lectures to make us understand the concepts. The pass mark for the semester exam is 45% for the external exam.

Honest Review of REC for students.
Placements: Almost 80% of them got placed in the 7th semester. The eligibility criteria to attend placements are no standing arrears and a CGPA > 7. In the 6th semester, placements will start. Top MNC companies like TCS, CTS, ACCENTURE, AMAZON, GOOGLE, and BNY MELLON came for recruitment. The highest package offered was 28 LPA, and the lowest was 3.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: We have open Wi-Fi all around the campus and many labs for all departments. The hostel food quality and room are pretty average. Classrooms and labs are good enough. They don't give much importance to sports, but they give importance to events, symposiums, and hackathons.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are very friendly, not that strict. We have 3 CAT exams each month for 75 marks and a semester exam for 100 marks. Exams and question papers are not that tough; we can clear them easily. The pass percentage is 50, which is pretty high, but you can score easily. The curriculum actually meets industry needs, and B. Tech CSBS is one of the best syllabi because it was designed by TCS. So yes, you can join REC.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested in both CS and business and also because I went through counseling. Maybe they can improve the way they teach. Coming to placements, it is very good actually. They also have cultural events, so it's fun.

Not satisfied with the faculty members' knowledge, but having a good placement when self-learned.
Placements: 80% get placed. The highest: 24 LPA, the lowest: 2.5 LPA. TCS, Accenture, Infosys, etc. Some might be very new startups. 30% of students make an internship, but most of the people don't do any internships. Companies for internships might be BNY, Goldman Sachs, etc. Software developer, finance officer.
Infrastructure: Facilities are old, but some of the people really don't have proper course knowledge. Even the knowledgeable ones just hesitate to teach. Labs for my course are good, having proper PC setup and repair stuff. Wi-Fi and faculty members are available. Classrooms are spacious.
Faculty: Teaching quality is average. Students have to do self-learning if they want to learn actual industry skills. The college just teaches the course, not the usage of that course in real life. As I said before, it’s just to make students exam-ready. Exams are easy.
Other: I just needed a computer major degree in my course. I get both computer and financial knowledge, that's why I chose that. Industry knowledge, practical knowledge, and faculty members are good. Events were quite good.

Placements are good, infrastructure is decent but needs improvement, with active student clubs.
Placements: Placements at our college are good, especially for CEE and IT students, with opportunities ranging from top corporations like TCS to promising startups. However, for students from Biotechnology and Food Technology, placements in core companies are limited. Irrespective of the field securing a job largely depends on students technical skills and knowledge.
Infrastructure: College has a good infrastructure but could use some improvements. Hostel rooms are comfortable with 24/7 Wi-Fi, and the food is decent. Library can be accessed until 5 PM, and there are active sports clubs with annual interdepartmental matches.
Faculty: Most faculty members are doctorates, ensuring quality teaching. The updated 2022 curriculum is good but has room for improvement. Semester exams are moderately challenging, with question papers generated by AI, providing a fair assessment of knowledge.
Other: College has numerous active clubs that organize frequent fests and events, almost every month. The highlight is the annual cultural event, Recharge.

Good for placements and having good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Almost 80 percent of students are placed, and the highest package is 19 LPA, and the average package is 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, CTS, Accenture, Wipro, and PWC. Students got internships from multiple MNC companies related to their courses. They are providing roles based on their skills.
Infrastructure: Providing free Wi-Fi, but it has only vegetarian food. Rooms are very excellent. The quality of food and rooms is very good, and having a canteen and all sports facilities and gyms is for our convenience. It is a very good environment, and following good culture, there is no ragging and good relationship between students.
Faculty: Excellent teachers, and providing education in a good way. Staff are explaining the concept in an excellent way and maintaining a good relationship between students. Curriculum is awesome, and syllabus is excellent. They provide the syllabus related to our core.

Rajalakshmi Engineering College is a good college in our area.
Placements: In my Information Technology course, almost 45% of the students are securely placed in companies. The highest package offered is 23 LPA, and the lowest is 2.3 LPA. Companies like Infosys, IBM, Gemini, and more companies have campus selection in college.
Infrastructure: The college boasts proper infrastructure, encompassing Wi-Fi, well-equipped labs, smart classrooms, and an extensive library. Hostel facilities are commendable, offering decent food and 24*7 medical services. Sports competitions are conducted, and the college has the best playground.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly qualified, helpful, and possess substantial knowledge. While the teaching quality is decent, the course curriculum is relevant to Information Technology. The semester exams are hard to pass and challenging for me.
