The review of St. Thomas College Of Engineering - STCET.

Placements: The placement season for our batch wasn't that good when compared to that of previous years. Although many mass recruiters visited our college, a good number of students remained unplaced. But our college neither takes care of the unplaced students nor provides ample opportunities for them. Thus at the end of the course, the college will have a decent placement record as Infosys and Cognizant are two major recruiters picking students in multiple rounds. The placement scenario of the next batch w...

It is the best college for studious ones and not just for the meritorious ones.

Placements: Mainly, companies like Infosys and Cognizant visit the college to recruit students. They mainly focus on computer science and IT departments. The rest of the offers are given to the electrical and electronic department. The highest salary package offered is approximately 6 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 3 to 4 LPA. They are recruited for the post of junior engineer trainee. Almost 70% of the students got placed from the batch passed out in 2018.

The worst four years I could ever live.

Placements: I did not get any placement from the college. In our batch, 100 out of 240 students were placed in at least one company out of the two mass recruiting companies. There is no placement cell in the college, and it is one of the worst colleges.

Overall, the faculty team should be increased, and the way of teaching should be modified.

Placements: Placements for our batch were tough due to the market situation. Placements for our seniors were good. Though we had a tough time, our college supported a lot. The college has tried in every possible way to place most of the students. In the end, approximately 75% of the students were placed. Companies like Infosys, Cognizant, Namura and ITC Infotech visited our college. The highest package offered was 6 LPA, and the lowest was 3.38 LPA.

Good faculty and a disciplined college.

Placements: There are good placements for focused and hard-working students. CTS and Infosys are the mass recruiters, and companies like Tech Mahindra Namura also contribute to the recruitment. You have to start preparing before two to three months, and you will be successfully be placed.

If you are studious & don't like any extra curricular activities, this college is absolutely ideal.

Placements: I got placed in Infosys from the on campus drive conducted by the college. There were other companies like CTS, ITC-Infotech, NRI Fintech etc. Came from on campus that year. Placement % is more than 60% in the college. The package offered by the companies are also pretty descent. The placement cell in the college is also doing good these days.

Reasons to choose St. Thomas' College of Engineering and Technology.

Placements: The college offers more than 100% placements every year, that is some of the students bag two placements at a time. Even in the year 2017 when the job market was low in India, the college successfully offered jobs to its students more than its competitors. Overall the college holds 4th to 5th position in Kolkata in terms of students to placements ratio.

St Thomas' College of engineering. & Tech in a nutshell.

Placements: The college provides placement to around 70-75% students every year. IT companies like CTS, Infosys recruits students in bulk. Few product based companies are also recruiting students of the college. Software based companies mostly recruits students from CSE & IT dept. Although the college provides enough opportunity to the ECE and EE students.

A Walk Through the Inside.

Placements: Okay so, actually, St. Thomas' College of Engineering and Technology provides overall good placements. If you visit their website you can find it out yourself. However last year (2017) due to Trump's political decisions on H1B visas the market wasn't too good and we did see an overall recession. Therefore last year the campusing was not very good however 50% of the student's did get placed. Our mass recruiters are Infosys and CTS. Companies like ITC Infotech, Tech Mahindra, Nomura Rift, etc. Als...

Average placement in 2018. No cultural fest. Take fine 500 for below attendance. Average faculty.

Placements: Three main companies visited regularly like CTS, INFOSYS, and ITC. More than 75% students placed in on campus in computer Science. Average package is 3.25-3.4. But in ECE, IT, and EE less than 40% students have placed till now. In this year overall placement is less than 50 % till now.

Good placements in 2014, highly recommended.

Placements: Placement is the strongest aspect for our college. In fact, it's the highest among all private colleges in Kolkata. Cognizant and Infosys are the highest recruiters. The ones left behind can try for other companies such as ITC and a few others, but these secondary companies have very less vacancies. Around 4-5.

good college but try for a good rank in WBJEE for government college.

Placements: This year placement was not so good. Previous 5 to 6 years it was not like this year. About 70 % students were placed in last few years. Infosys was the only mass recruiter this year otherwise some IT company came but took total 15 students

Best private engineering college in Kolkata.

Placements: CTS, Infosys, and ITC Infotech are the 3 companies which come year-after-year without missing, and getting an opportunity in any one of these is a good chance. It is quite easy with the minimum preparation. Around 80-90% of the students usually get placed in a year with many students getting more than one offer.

The discipline of the college is good.

Placements: The placements are not good. Only IT based companies come to the placement and select some students. The placements of my senior batch are very bad, and approximately 25% students get placement, and the highest salary is around 4 LPA. No student gets the internship from the college.

One of the top 5 private engineering colleges of Kolkata.

Placements: The placements are really good with Cognizant and Infosys being the mass recruiters. The product- based companies like NRI Fintech and ITC Infotech also come but recruited only very few people like less than 10 students. Nonetheless, most students do get good placements.

Placements: The placements on the campus are good. Overall, 70-75% of the students got placed. The main visitors to the campus is Infosys, Cognizant, Nomura, ITC Infotech, etc. The average package offered is 3.2 LPA, and the maximum is around 6.5 LPA. The placements for the computer science, information technology, and electronics and communication branch is good, but for the electrical, the placement is not good as no core companies are visiting the campus.
