    Q:   Is B.Com at Surya Sen Mahavidyalaya a good choice?

    A:
    {Source: B.Com students & alumni}

    Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the key points:

    Pros:

    * Good infrastructure: The college has a good infrastructure, with Wi-Fi connectivity, digital laboratories, good classrooms, and a library.
    * Helpful teachers: Students appreciate the teachers' willingness to help and provide guidance outside of regular classes.
    * Good academic performance: The college has a good reputation for its academic performance, with a high pass percentage of 93%.
    * Variety of courses: The college offers a range of courses, including accounting, finance, and business management, which may appeal to students interested in commerce-related fields.

    Cons:

    * Limited placement opportunities: Unfortunately, the college does not have a strong placement record, with most students relying on self-study and preparation for competitive exams.
    * No industry-ready training: While the college provides theoretical knowledge, it does not seem to equip students with practical skills or industry-specific training.
    * Slow internet speed: According to some students, the college's Wi-Fi network speed is slow, which may hinder productivity and research.
    * Unclear internship opportunities: Although some students mentioned receiving internships, others reported uncertainty regarding availability and quality of such opportunities.

    Overall, while Surya Sen Mahavidyalaya seems to have a good academic track record and infrastructure, it appears to fall short in terms of preparing students for the job market. However, for students who are looking for a solid foundation in commerce-related fields and are willing to pursue additional training or certifications, this college might still be a viable option.

    This college is for passionate people.
    Placements: 50 percent of people were placed, and many got higher studies; the lowest package was INR 1.5 LPA, and the highest was INR 4 LPA. Some local companies come for recruiting, although it's not so bad. I don't know what the roles offered in my course are because I am doing my PG right now.
    Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for our course are not so bad; there are practical classes, good labs, and, of course, great functions. You will get a library too, with strict order. I haven't eaten food from the canteen, so I don't know about it, but sports and games are pretty good.
    Faculty: Teachers are helpful if you ask them for their knowledge about semester exams in this college. If you don't miss the classes and join the lectures and tests regularly, I don't think exams will be hard for all of the students. The passing percentage of this college is pretty good at 93%.
    Other: I chose this course for higher studies.
