Suryadatta Institute of Fashion Technology (also known as SIFT PUNE) is one of the premier institutes in the world of fashion designing that came into existence in 2010. The institute is a constituent unit of Suryadatta Group of Institutes founded by Late Smt Ratanbai and Shri Bansilalji Chordiya in Pune - The Oxford of East. SIFT Pune, along with 13 sister institutes, is run and managed by Surya Group in the field of Fashion and Jewellery Design, Media and Mass Communication, Interior Designing, Management, Travel and Tourism, Hotel Management and more. The institute is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (formerly known as University of Pune or University of Poona).
SIFT Pune is approved by University Grants Commission (UGC), Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra (DTE) and recognised by the Government of Maharashtra. SIFT is the winner of India's Signature Brands 2020 in the category of ‘Most Innovative and Creative Fashion Design Institute in West India’ and was alos awarded the title of 'Best Design School in Maharashtra by World Signature Awards 2019'. SIFT Pune is part of the ISO 9001: 2015 Certified Institutes & accredited by NVT - QC, ANAB & IAF (International Apparel Federation).
Suryadatta Institute of Fashion Technology offers Bachelor of Science (Fashion Design) as its only academic programme. The institute is known for its quality education and holistic development for assured success in corporate world at affordable fees. In addition to the regular curriculum, SIFT Pune organises industrial visits, seminars by fashion design professionals, theme ramp walk events and fashion design festivals. This gives the students the latest knowledge of the industry and hand-on experience in various spheres of Fashion Design. All the students registered for a three-year bachelor degree are offered six months of diploma certification from London Academy of Professional Training, UK (LAPT) under the relevant discipline in the final year (third year). Campus facilities for students include state-of-the-art campus, well-equipped labs, fashion design labs, computer labs and a high-speed Wi-Fi facility so that the students and faculty remain connected all the time. The library offers access to a wide range of information sources that include 24,000+ regular textbooks reference books, 62 leading national and international journals, magazines, periodicals and subscription of six leading newspapers.

SIFT Pune Admission Process 2023
The Suryadatta Institute of Fashion Technology admission process is conducted in both online and offline modes. Admission to the programme is based on merit and entrance exam scores. The application process for all the programmes begins in the month of January every year. SIFT Pune Placements
Under the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), the placement cell of SIFT PUNE offers round-the-clock value-added assistance, besides rigorous academic sessions through industrial visits, guest lectures, seminars, and conferences. Extensive industry interface and knowledge management activities develop the required skill set and industriousness of the students. SIFT Pune organises frequent industry visits to help the students gain knowledge about the functioning of a design house, garment manufacturing unit, a boutique, jewelry design unit or export house. Students get placement offers based on their academics, communication skills, presentation skills and performance in the selection process. Also, a total of 74 students got placed in companies like Shoppers Stop, Mary's Couture, Van-Hussen, H&M, Aundh, TASTA Wedding House. The percentage of students placed was 100% and the minimum package offered was INR 4 lakh to INR 5 lakh.
