Q:   Is B.E. / B.Tech at Swami Vivekanand Group of Institutes worth the investment?

A:
{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Is BE/BTech at Swami Vivekanand Group of Institutes worth the investment?

Placement Opportunities: While students did receive placement opportunities, the package offered was generally low, ranging from INR3 LPA to INR50 LPA. Local companies, such as TCS, Deloitte, and HCL, dominated the recruitment scene. Top recruiting companies included Google, Amazon, and Infosys.

Faculty: Most students found the teachers to be helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. However, some reported that the faculty lacked experience and taught outdated material.

Infrastructure: The college boasts excellent infrastructure, including Wi-Fi connectivity, modern labs, smart classrooms, and a well-stocked library. Hostel facilities were also praised, while the mess food received mixed reviews.

Course Curriculum: The course curriculum was deemed relevant by most students, preparing them for industry demands. However, some felt that the emphasis was more on theoretical knowledge than practical skills.

Placements and Internships: Around 90% of students secured placements, with the highest package reaching INR50 LPA. Half of the students also bagged internships, mostly with local companies.

Conclusion: Based on student reviews, while Swami Vivekanand Group of Institutes offers decent placement opportunities and infrastructure, the faculty could benefit from more experience and updated knowledge. The course curriculum seems relevant, but may require more practical training. Considering the pros and cons, whether or not the institute is "worth" the investment ultimately depends on individual priorities and expectations.

Note: The answer is based on the provided student testimonials and avoids making subjective judgments or promoting the institution.

Swami Vivekanand Institute of Engineering and Technology is a good college.
Placements: There are placements for computer science students, and the average salary package offered is 3 LPA. They do not provide placements for all branches.
Infrastructure: The hostel is good. There are some labs. Facilities are average. The infrastructure of classrooms is good. The library provides some books and materials.
Faculty: They do not conduct industrial visits. Lab sessions are not conducted.

I don't recommend this college.
Placements: No placements especially for a civil and mechanical branch. Only a few companies will come for CSE and electrical that's also for formality they will max of 2 students with the very low package which you can get better by yourself. In college, they use posters of IBM Indigo Microsoft which are fake.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and hostel are not too bad but mess food is the worst you complain how many times it does not matter for management. The library is okay not bad. The classroom is not good in the summer season you will die. Labs are like old museums covered with pigeon shits.
Faculty: The worst faculty teachers with no experience. Our teachers come there to take experience by teaching. Teachers will teach you by watching youtube or if theory they will just read and go.
Other: When I joined I know nothing there was no one to tell me what is good and what is wrong I just got the scholarship and from the scholarship itself, they selected a college for us who got a scholarship from Tripura the director of a minority scholarship got a lot of money from the college for sending students or for select college for the scholarship. The college only cares about the money they don't have even a little interest in education quality. They maintain only college appearance by gardening. Nowadays knowledge matters. No one will even open your degree they will recruit you on basis of your knowledge and ability but this college make you focus on only how to pass or get marks.

Yes, good placements since 2015.
Placements: No placement accuracy, and the college is very strict. The study quality is very good. Only 2 to 5% of students are placed in my course, which is considered the best course in my college. The highest package is 12.5 LPA, the median package is 5 LPA, and the lowest package is 2.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college has good faculty, and the classes are very clean and systematic. All teachers are available for all types of courses and subjects, and the teaching is technology-based. Wi-Fi is available, but it is very old and the speed is slow. There are two types of libraries: one physical and one online.
Faculty: All teachers help every student, and their behavior is very friendly. The teaching quality is excellent, and we receive frequent instruction. Semester exams are very difficult, and to secure a passing CGPA of 7 and above, one must pass all subjects.
Other: This is my favorite subject and my passion, even though it is a very high and tough subject.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty and good placements.
Placements: 60% of students were placed in civil engineering in 2019. The highest package is 8 LPA and the lowest is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies such as Tech Mahindra, Memsys, IGI Airport, etc. visited for placements.
Infrastructure: The campus has fully Wi-Fi, labs are good digital classroom is also available. The library is good. Hostel quality is too good well mentioned and food quality is average. For hostellers, the college organises DJ night sports meets and many events.
Faculty: The faculty is well qualified as well as helpful. Course make students industry-ready. The pass percentage is 90% in the year 2020. Semester exam Little bit tough as per University rules but students can handle that. Because faculty put all effort to make students industry ready.

Don't take admission in SVIET. Save money and your career.
Placements: The word "placement" was only used for ECE and CSE branch students in my college. No company visited our college for civil, mechanical, and other branches. You can check records and can ask any SVIETian unless he/she is SVIET management person. I request all the students to take admission in a good college/university. Don't take admission by considering the low budget and join a disgusting college like SVIET which only focuses on collecting fees and fines from students. They use students for their benefits. I will rate 0/10 for the on-campus placements.
Infrastructure: The on-campus infrastructure was awesome. The only thing I liked the most about SVIET was its infrastructure. The college has good playgrounds, gym, building, classrooms, and mess. However, the quality of food in the mess was bad. The only thing I miss about SVIET is the cricket ground and my friends. The auditorium on the campus was awesome. The classrooms were good, but benches were not that good. The hostels on the campus were good. There was no ragging and racism in the college. The canteen was good. Though the library wasn't big, it was awesome and satisfactory. There was Wi-Fi facility on the campus, but its speed was very low. There weren't any labs for civil engineering, and even no practicals were performed in the first four semesters. During my 5th semester, a lab was constructed, but still, no test was performed except slump test. Around 2 to 4 tests were performed verbally (like isme aisa hota hai, ye iske liye use hota hai. Just like pradarshani huyi thi). You can just imagine that civil engineer students didn't perform practicals, and it means a lot. Sports and games activities were regularly done on the campus, and there is no complaint about it. The quality of food in the canteen was good but the worst in the mess. I will rate the infrastructure 6 out of 10.
Faculty: The college doesn't give the salaries to their staff on time because of their low budget. The faculty members are the worst except for some. Some faculty members are knowledgeable. If these faculty members teach you, you will become an engineer without any practical knowledge. You will learn nothing, and you will feel ashamed of yourself after four years of your degree. By joining an institute, I came to know that I didn't even learn basics from my college. I feel very bad that I have wasted 6-7 lacs of my parents. I feel like I just bought my degree for 6-7 lakhs from SVIET and wasted my important four years of life. I would like to rate the faculty and course curriculum with 1 out of 10.
Other: There is no complaint about events and fests on the campus. August 15 and October 2 weren't celebrated in the whole four years of my degree. The campus was awesome. If you want to waste your money and time, then this is the best college for you. The campus crowd is awesome.
