Q:   Is B.E. / B.Tech at Swami Vivekanand Group of Institutes worth the investment?

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Is BE/BTech at Swami Vivekanand Group of Institutes worth the investment?

Placement Opportunities: While students did receive placement opportunities, the package offered was generally low, ranging from INR3 LPA to INR50 LPA. Local companies, such as TCS, Deloitte, and HCL, dominated the recruitment scene. Top recruiting companies included Google, Amazon, and Infosys.

Faculty: Most students found the teachers to be helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. However, some reported that the faculty lacked experience and taught outdated material.

Infrastructure: The college boasts excellent infrastructure, including Wi-Fi connectivity, modern labs, smart classrooms, and a well-stocked library. Hostel facilities were also praised, while the mess food received mixed reviews.

Course Curriculum: The course curriculum was deemed relevant by most students, preparing them for industry demands. However, some felt that the emphasis was more on theoretical knowledge than practical skills.

Placements and Internships: Around 90% of students secured placements, with the highest package reaching INR50 LPA. Half of the students also bagged internships, mostly with local companies.

Conclusion: Based on student reviews, while Swami Vivekanand Group of Institutes offers decent placement opportunities and infrastructure, the faculty could benefit from more experience and updated knowledge. The course curriculum seems relevant, but may require more practical training. Considering the pros and cons, whether or not the institute is "worth" the investment ultimately depends on individual priorities and expectations.

Note: The answer is based on the provided student testimonials and avoids making subjective judgments or promoting the institution.

    Yes, good placements since 2015.
Placements: No placement accuracy, and the college is very strict. The study quality is very good. Only 2 to 5% of students are placed in my course, which is considered the best course in my college. The highest package is 12.5 LPA, the median package is 5 LPA, and the lowest package is 2.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college has good faculty, and the classes are very clean and systematic. All teachers are available for all types of courses and subjects, and the teaching is technology-based. Wi-Fi is available, but it is very old and the speed is slow. There are two types of libraries: one physical and one online.
Faculty: All teachers help every student, and their behavior is very friendly. The teaching quality is excellent, and we receive frequent instruction. Semester exams are very difficult, and to secure a passing CGPA of 7 and above, one must pass all subjects.
Other: This is my favorite subject and my passion, even though it is a very high and tough subject.

    Really good teachers and infrastructure.
Placements: The student got placement opportunities but the package offered is generally low and also the companies that visit are mostly local ones from Mohali and nearby. Top recruitment companies are TCS, Deloitte, and other nearby companies. Overall, the college does its best to place students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good and green. Flowers and trees are everywhere. The buildings of the departments are quite good. As I would say, there must be AC in every class during summers. The canteen and other stuff are good to go. But the location of the college is very outside.
Faculty: Teachers here are generally freshers but are very friendly and are ready to help you in studies and also with your personal problems. The teachers I got were amazing, and I had nothing to complain about them so far. The course curriculum is decided by IKGPTU, which is the university it is affiliated with, and the course is quite old, needing some improvement.
Other: The college holds 2 events every year: the 1st is Parichay, which is the freshers' fest, and the other one is Spontania, which is the annual fest.
