A:

Is BE/BTech at Swami Vivekanand Group of Institutes worth the investment?

Placement Opportunities: While students did receive placement opportunities, the package offered was generally low, ranging from INR3 LPA to INR50 LPA. Local companies, such as TCS, Deloitte, and HCL, dominated the recruitment scene. Top recruiting companies included Google, Amazon, and Infosys.

Faculty: Most students found the teachers to be helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. However, some reported that the faculty lacked experience and taught outdated material.

Infrastructure: The college boasts excellent infrastructure, including Wi-Fi connectivity, modern labs, smart classrooms, and a well-stocked library. Hostel facilities were also praised, while the mess food received mixed reviews.

Course Curriculum: The course curriculum was deemed relevant by most students, preparing them for industry demands. However, some felt that the emphasis was more on theoretical knowledge than practical skills.

Placements and Internships: Around 90% of students secured placements, with the highest package reaching INR50 LPA. Half of the students also bagged internships, mostly with local companies.

Conclusion: Based on student reviews, while Swami Vivekanand Group of Institutes offers decent placement opportunities and infrastructure, the faculty could benefit from more experience and updated knowledge. The course curriculum seems relevant, but may require more practical training. Considering the pros and cons, whether or not the institute is "worth" the investment ultimately depends on individual priorities and expectations.

Note: The answer is based on the provided student testimonials and avoids making subjective judgments or promoting the institution.

All facilities in our college are good.
Placements: There is no matter of percentage as placements depend on qualification. The lowest salary package offered in our branch is 5 LPA, and the highest salary package offered is 18 LPA. Companies like Infosys, Mahindra, Telecom, etc., visit our college to hire students from the ECE branch. The academic percentage does not matter in an internship.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi system in our department or college is supreme and fantabulous. Labs are well-maintained. All equipment is running properly, and our teachers check the kits regularly. Classrooms are well-maintained and cleaned regularly. Classrooms are under CCTV surveillance.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are well-qualified. They all are helpful to us 24x7. They can clear our doubts regularly in class. Our college conducts industrial visits every month to different places. Semester examination depends on students' preparation.

Good placements and qualified faculty.
Placements: Placements in SVIET are average. Every year around 60-70% of students get placed. The highest package offered is around 8 lacs per annum, the lowest is 2-3 lacs per annum, and the average is 3-3.50 lacs per annum. Generally, Chandigarh based companies visit our campus for placements. Around 50% of students get internships with Rs. 10,000-12,000 stipend per month. There is a training and placement cell in the college, and it is very useful.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available in the college, and the classrooms and labs are in excellent condition. The library is a digital one, and you can access it from anywhere. PDFs and everything are also available in it. Medical facilities are available in the college campus, and sports and other gaming grounds and equipment are also available. Food served in the mess is good, and hostel rooms are also good. I haven't faced any issues related to the infrastructure.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching methods are excellent. Faculty to student ratio is generally 1:50/55. We got a lot of industry exposure, and we even got internships from those industries. The course curriculum is very useful and important.

Satisfied with the college placements and facilities.
Placements: The placements offered are quite good because of the technological background which is easy to fetch a handful of reputed and prestigious companies by the college to get their students placed. The companies such as Infosys and HCL visit the campus, and the average package received by the students is nearly and between 5-7 lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi and facilities are worth the money. The college offers quality food and sportsmanship is encouraged in the college. It believes in sustainability and indulges in creating greenery. The hostel provides all the facility and provides good food. I hadn't faced any infrastructure related issues during tenure at the college.
Faculty: The teachers are friendly, helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The teachers use the projectors and smart screen to teach the students, and the ratio of the students to faculty is 40:1. The course curriculum is useful. The method of teaching is interactive.

It is always very tough to study in a college like SVIET, where no one will listen to you.
Placements: SVGOI organises placements in the field of IT only in engineering. If I talk about my personal experience, till date not a single company ever visited the campus for the profile of RF engineer or an electronics engineer which is my core domain actually. They just bring BPOs for placements, which is not worth it.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is better than the surrounding colleges like Aryans or Gurukul Vidyapeeth. But again, an empty campus is of no use, I mean there is a lack of full-fledged labs. For engineering students, there should be fully equipped laboratories because after all, it is practical to work which we have to deal with.
Faculty: The course curriculum is decided by the university (Punjab Technical University), which is already outdated. I mean in today's world when it is the age of PLCs, there is still an 8-bit microcontroller in the syllabus and that is it. PLCs are nowhere in the curriculum. And talking about the faculty, you can not let unsuccessful engineers teach the young minds, I mean they simply hire fresh engineering graduates as lecturers and professors who are still in their learning phase.
Other: The management is totally rude always. They are never supportive, except at the time of admission. They will always torture you to the utmost. They will always find a way to charge fine from you, no matter what, but they surely will. For example, they charge an amount of 700 from you for your degree certificate as degree charges of the university which is not actually charged by the university. They will just take money out of your pocket.

I suggest others opt for this institute.
Placements: The placement record is very good here, and many good companies visit here to hire students. The highest salary package offered is 15 LPA. Many core companies and MNCs visit here for every branch. Companies select students on the basis of their interviews. Many students got internships in very good companies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good in every department. Labs are well-maintained, and all the latest equipment is available in labs. Classrooms are very good. The library is appreciable, and there is no shortage of books. Medical facilities are also quite good.
Faculty: Faculty members are great in this institute. The way they teach is amazing, and they are quite helpful to us. Teachers are well-qualified, and they acquire very good knowledge and great teaching skills. We got industry exposure, and it was a good experience for us.
