BTech is a four-year course divided into eight semesters. Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran offers BTech in six specialisations through Chandigarh Engineering College in affiliation with I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University. CGC College for Engineering offers BTech in three specialisations. After completion of Class 12, candidates can apply for any of the BTech specialisations of their choice.

All those candidates who have passed a minimum three years/ two years (lateral entry) Diploma examination from an AICTE-approved institution/ recognised university as defined by UGC in any branch of Engineering and Technology shall be eligible to apply for BTech (LE) course. All those aspirants who have passed BSc degree from a recognised university as defined by UGC and passed Class 12 standard with Mathematics as a subject shall also be eligible to apply. Candidates who have passed DVoc streams in the same or allied sector are also eligible. Additionally, admission to BTech (LE) course is based on PTU Counselling. After completion of the selection rounds, shortlisted candidates need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat. The total fee for BTech (LE) ranges between INR 2.95 Lacs and INR 3.86 Lacs as per an unofficial source.

For online application, visit the CGC website, click 'Apply Now, ' register, complete the application form, upload necessary documents, and transfer the 'Prospectus' and 'College Fee' through the designated payment method. For walk-in admissions, visit the campus, obtain an admission form, fill it out, submit original documents, provide five passport-size photographs, and pay the application fee.
