Review of Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics.
Placements: Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics is known for its placement for the students. They are very professional and serious about it. The highest record is more than 70 students get placed as per my knowledge. The highest salary package offered is 7 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. This year companies like Wipro, KPMG, many well-known companies, start ups for more exposure for students visit our college with good salary package and work culture. Internships are available for FY and SY students. Top roles like financial analyst, marketing manager, etc., are offered depending on the fields.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good enough, and it needs more changes on which the college is working. It has a library, huge classrooms, computer labs, a canteen, and a gymkhana. Hostel facilities are available for both girls and boys.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are knowledgeable with high qualifications. Their teaching quality is good. The courses are good and relevant. Due to online, things are a little seated back, but as a student, one also needs to put efforts to get on the mark to be career-ready. The exam pattern is described by the university, so everything works accordingly. For now, the minimum pass percentage is 35-40%.
Other: I have chosen this course because I have an interest in banking and insurance and wanted to know more. Banking and insurance are important sectors, so studying and working for them seems relevant to me. More practical and industry approach is needed for betterment. The college provides a scholarship as per eligibility criteria. Sydenham is known for its events, so one gets more exposure to life and management skills.

Overall, the college environment is good for students.
Placements: Companies like Wipro, Media.net, Parmenter and Savage, and Terence Lewis Dance Academy, etc., visit here to hire students. You can also visit the placement cell of Sydenham for more information as they organise a career fair in the college every year. The college provides good opportunities for students. Many companies offer good packages, and the placement cell members are also very helpful.
Infrastructure: The college has good classrooms. We also have a good canteen which offers food at reasonable prices. There are no issues regarding the infrastructure. The playground is huge, and there are many sports facilities to play games like badminton, table tennis, chess, and carrom board etc. Classrooms and corridors are cleaned well. We also have good benches available in the classrooms.
Faculty: Our teachers are helpful, and they teach us in a very different and nice way. They teach all the academic concepts. The student to teacher ratio is good. As far as the industrial visits are concerned, they took us to Hyderabad. That was a fun trip, and we learnt many things about the industry there.
Other: Events organised in our college are very good. The college also conducts various competitions, and those competitions are really enjoyable. The college also encourages the students to apply for scholarships. The campus crowd is decent.

Absolutely satisfied, worth it.
Placements: For admission, 65% of students are also capable of admission. The minimum package is 15.24 LPA and the maximum is 26.30 LPA. Companies like JPMC, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, etc. B.Sc. Luxury Brand and Retail Management is implemented this year (2024-25). Top roles like KPMG, Infosys, Deloitte, and so on.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are quite big, but the thing is, BBI courses do not have infrastructure as much as BMS students, who are getting better infrastructure than BBI courses. The library is too small, and there is no place to read or learn something. But there are vast collections of books since 1950, though I haven't seen that many books. The canteen is 10/10; the rate of food is very affordable. Wi-Fi is okay. Labs are quite good.
Faculty: Teachers are very good; they are so kind and calm, and ready to explain to students for the millionth time. Yes, it makes the students industry-ready. As per the new NEP, internals passing marks are 50%, and external marks are 50%. Internals are quite hard; it's not that easy to pass, and you have to work hard.
Other: I chose this course because I want to start my career in banking. After a lot of research, I found that Sydenham College is good and reputed. Also, the fees are quite affordable compared to any other college. Till now, in BBI, there is a society of BBI where each and every student has to be a part so that everyone can show their talents, hard work, and passion, which helps to build confidence in them. Yes, I am a part of it. I'm in the events team, and every student gets a chance to be the HOD or VHOD, which includes a small interview with the chairperson, vice-chairperson, and core members, and they are very sweet. Our most grand event is Concord.

I am dissatisfied with the infrastructure and food services.
Placements: A good number of companies visited the campus for placements. The college also conducted a career summit with various companies to give job opportunities for the students. The highest salary offered was Rs. 30,000 per month. Around 20 students were placed from our college. Various students were offered different profiles.
Infrastructure: The Infrastructure of our college is average. The toilets are uncleaned. However, the college provides a Wi-Fi facility. Our classrooms look messy at times. The college lacks a sports room, and there are only a few games facilities available here. The college doesn't provide any medical facilities. Even the food quality is not good, and the prices of the food are high.
Faculty: I am studying in banking and insurance degree course. Our teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. There are various methods like using digital boards for studying. They even sent us to industry visits to provide us with much practical knowledge.

I am satisfied with my college and faculty.
Placements: The placements were quite good with a salary of Rs 5000 per month, but there was less percent of students involved in placements. We have a placement cell in our college, and it's useful for many students so that they get informed about internships by various companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is excellent in our college. The college authorities properly organise Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, library, medical facilities, sport and games in the college. The library has many of the old books which are worth to read, and sports are given the preference in the college.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful to students, they are well qualified, and their teaching quality is excellent. Also, E-class projector is used to teach. We got industry exposure from the college, and the course curriculum was very useful to me. It was a knowledge giving a course, which made me strong in the banking sector.
Other: Events such as Concord, Brouhaha, and Muranjan are celebrated on the campus.
