It is worth taking every opportunity that comes your way, in this B-School.

Placements: Though the institute provides really good opportunities, one really can't take placements for granted. A student must work immensely in improving their personality and conceptual clarity, in order to bag the best offers on campus. Decent live projects and summer internship offers are available along with sufficient guest lectures and corporate contacts.

Good infrastructure and Education

Placements: The placements for our batch were better than what it was for our seniors; though they weren't very spectacular. Around 100 students went through the placement procedure and at least 50 got placed. The Minimum salary offered was around Rs. 10,000 p.m and the Maximum was around Rs. 25,000 p.m with an average of Rs. 15,000 p.m. Majority of the recruiters were local companies which were either KPOs or BPOS. For developers, there were many local IT and software solutions companies. Common roles offe...

Good and experienced faculty.

Placements: There is no placement for EMBA. It is only provided for full-time MBA students. For EMBA students, they do not have any placement cell. As EMBA students are already working, they say there is no need to provide placement assistance. But believe me, this course really helped me in getting a promotion and then a new job.

SIBMB is growing every year and is the best among all the B-schools from the last 10-13 years.

Placements: Placements are decent, companies like JP Morgan, Credit Suisse take 10-12 people each. Fidelity, Morgan Stanley, Arcesium and Crisil take a good number of students. For core sales, companies like ITC, Maruti, Mahindra, TVS, TATA Motors, Tata Aig, Blue Star etc. come. Major IT companies Accenture, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, Cognizant and NIIT come to campus. Average package is 9.5 LPA. Deloitte, Manipal, ACT, MSupply, Genpact and hp are also permanent recruiters and take good numbers. Every year,...

Good placements and decent faculty.

Placements: SIBM is a tier 2 college ranking around 3rd among all 14 Symbiosis management institutes. Placements have been pretty decent, placing around 90%+ people of the batch. An average package of 8.5-1 lakh has been offered by companies like Deloitte, Genpact, JPMC, Accenture, Infosys, Credit Suisse, Honeywell etc. If you are someone with a work experience ranging between 1-2 years, it is a perfect place for you as far as placement opportunities are concerned. The college is located in the prime area of Electronics City which also serves home to a number of corporate offices, thus enabling better interaction between students and corporates. Also, the college offers very good facilities to its students be it hostel, studies or placements.

The first thing one is sure to notice when he/she enters the campus of Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) is the impressive academic building. However, something about which students often crib is that the campus is small as compared to other b-schools. There is also no available ground for outdoor activities such as cricket and football, forcing students to be content with indulging in indoor sports. The college has comfortable classrooms. The best part about SIBM is its excellen...

SIBM Bangalore has been a good learning experience, for me. The classes include more of case study based approach which instills an analytical and thoughtful approach to problem- solving. It has vibrant student associations and committees which complement the program with a number of activities involving institute-industry interaction. The faculty is a mix of internal and external along with well-equipped library for students. The examination pattern consists of assignments, presentations, surpr...

There are different aspects to the definition of an MBA college and SIBM does well on almost all of them be it the quality of curriculum, the on campus life, placements, etc. It has done remarkably well for an institute that has come into existence only half a decade ago. Much of this thanks to the legacy it derives from the Symbiosis family. It would be an ideal institute for someone with a couple of years of experience in the industry looking to add value. This doesn’t mean that freshers are n...
