Know All About Karnataka PGCET 2025 Exam

Karnataka PGCET 2025: Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will release PGCET exam details 2025 on the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea. KEA will likely release the Karnataka PGCET application form in the month of May. Candidates can expect the MBA, MCA, and MTech exam to be held in July.

A total of 100 MCQs appear in the Karnataka PGCET exam. Candidates need to answer all questions within 120 minutes. If the structure from past exam sessions is followed, KEA will conduct the exam offline via OMR based marking system.

Q:   How many questions will be there in each section of the Karnataka PGCET exam?

A:

As per the Karnataka PGCET exam pattern, each section of the exam for MBA course will have as many as 25 questions. All questions in the PGCET exam will carry one mark each. Since all sections of the PGCET exam will have a similar weightage in terms of marks and number of questions, all the sections hold equal importance.

Candidates have 120 minutes to answer all the multiple-choice questions of Karnataka PGCET exam. It is compulsory to answer all the questions. Candidates will not get the option to select questions in the question paper. The exam is held in offline mode.

Q:   What are the sections in Karnataka PGCET exam?

A:

The Karnataka PGCET syllabus is based on the topics from four different sections, namely

  • Proficiency in English Language
  • General Knowledge
  • Reasoning and General Intelligence
  • Quantitative Analysis

All the sections in the Karnataka PGCET exam have equal weightage in terms of number of questions and marks. Each section of Karnataka PGCET exam has 25 questions compiling a total of 100 questions in the MBA exam. There will be no sectional timelimit; hence candidates will be able to answer questions from the desired section anytime within the exam duration.

Q:   What is the marking scheme of the Karnataka PGCET exam?

A:

For every right answer, candidates will be awarded one mark in Karnataka PGCET 2024 exam while for the wrong answers, no marks will be deducted. The total marks of the Karnataka PGCET 2024 exam are 100. Candidates get 120 minutes to answer all the multiple-choice questions. It is compulsory to answer all the questions in the Karnataka PGCET exam. Candidates will not get the option to select questions in the question paper. To score maximum marks, it is important to answer questions with accuracy. No marks are awarded in case of selection of multiple answers.

Karnataka PGCET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Karnataka PGCET exam is held for MBA admissions into full-time and part-time courses among other PG professional courses. The space below mentions the Karnataka PGCET eligibility criteria 2025 for MBA courses:

Karnataka PGCET Eligibility Criteria for Full-Time MBA

  • Academic Qualification: Minimum three-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognised institute.
  • Minimum Score in Qualifying Exam: Minimum aggregate of 50 per cent must be obtained by all UR category candidates. Reserved category candidates must obtain a minimum aggregate score of 45 per cent.

Karnataka PGCET Eligibility Criteria for Part-Time MBA

  • Academic Qualification: Minimum three-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognised institute.
  • Minimum Score in Qualifying Exam: Minimum aggregate of 50 per cent must be obtained by all UR category candidates. Reserved category candidates must obtain a minimum aggregate score of 45 per cent.
  • Work Experience Details:
    • Only employed aspirants are eligible for part-time MBA through PGCET 2025
    • A minimum of three years work experience in relevant field must be obtained on or before July 31 of the admission session.
    • The current employer must be located within a 40-kilometre radial distance from the desired MBA college.

Karnataka PGCET Registration 2025

KEA facilitates the Karnataka PGCET registration online on its official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea. Candidates can fill the Karnataka PGCET 2025 application form within a specified window. Candidates filling the online application form will have to pay an application fee to submit the form. The information bulletin will host an exhaustive guide to filling the PGCET registration, including the steps to fill the application form, documents required, image upload specifications, and more.

Q:   Is there any negative marking in Karnataka PGCET?

A:

No there is no negative marking in the exam. Each cprre ct answer will fetch 1 marks whereas the Karnatka PGCET exam has no negative marking for wrong answers marked. The Karnataka PGCET syllabus is based on the topics from four different sections: Proficiency in English Language, General Knowledge, Reasoning and General Intelligence, and Quantitative Analysis. Each of these section will have 25 multiple choice questions. Candidates need to choose one answer option out of four choices for each question.

Karnataka PGCET Hall Ticket 2025

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has issued the Karnataka PGCET admit card for all candidates. It is mandatory to carry a printed copy of the admit card on the day of the exam. Applicants can download their Karnataka PGCET 2025 hall ticket by adhering to the step-by-step process provided.

1st Step: Visit the official exam website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea

2nd Step: Navigate to the ‘Admissions’ tab from the main menu, followed by clicking on PGCET-2025 from the drop-down menu.

3rd Step: Click on the Karnataka PGCET admit card 2025 download link

4th Step: Enter the login credentials, such as date of birth, PGCET number, etc.

5th Step: Click on the ‘Sign-in’ button.
