A college with better placements, curriculum, and good campus life.

Faculty: It has a holistic curriculum, however, teaching can be rated as average. You have to work by yourself a lot. Semester exams were online, so it went easy for the batch. Grooming is in the student's hands, no one will spoon-feed you. Try to make an all-rounder profile by participating in events, being part of committees, and maintaining a GPA of around 7.5 to 8.0. Placements however are not completely dependent on marks but it is always a plus point.

It is one of the best colleges in India for operations and supply chain management.

Faculty: All the faculty members are PhD holders. They are helpful not only in classes but also in extracurricular activities like B-school competitions and social projects. Quality of lectures is good. Students are made industry-ready through ships, live projects, Six Sigma Projects, HBR and Capstone Simulations, KPMG Six Sigma Black Belt Certification, APICS CPIM & CSCP Certification, SAP University Alliances programme. The course curriculum is reviewed every year based on emerging trends in operations...

This is one of the best colleges to pursue operations management course.

Faculty: The course curriculum is the best if you are seeking for core operations management. The required for the course are provided right from the first semester. The college also focuses on making the students corporate ready.

SIOM-a nice college and a complete package for growing in the operations domain of the industry.

Faculty: The faculty and guest faculty members are mostly well qualified and proficient in the subjects. Some don't have the level to engage the students and clarify the issues. Sometimes, students face the problem of getting only class-based education and not industry-based learning. The curriculum is industry specific, well organised and spread across 4 semesters. Guest faculty members are from the industry and provide good insights. Live projects and industry visits are carried out for better engageme...

Absolutely satisfied with the curriculum, campus and placements.

Faculty: SIOM has a very niche curriculum concentrating on operations excellence. Constantly upgrading the curriculum as per industrial requirements and keeping students at par with the current standards. Conducting guest lectures for which inviting notable personalities to orate the students and share real life industry experiences and difficulties faced, helping groom students for future. The college conducts industrial visits regularly to acquaint students with actual industrial processes. Case Based ...

It's worth joining the SIOM if you are the enthusiast for the operation management.

Faculty: The faculty members for the few courses like economics, finance, HR, operation research, lean management, supply chain management, etc. are good, and for few subjects, the faculty members are average and need to be improved by the college. For few subjects, the visiting faculty members teach the course, and the lectures are good. The course curriculum is excellent and won accolades for the best course curriculum in the operations management. The college provides the capstone business simulation ...

Had its growth till 2016. Now it has started degrading as top faculty members have started leaving.

Faculty: Except a few, the faculty members were very helpful. The major backbone of this institute is its curriculum which is apt for the current business and industry trends. However, a more stringent approach of teaching and delivering lectures should be adopted.

SIOM is a good option for those who are inclined towards operations and supply chain. Course curriculum here covers not only all aspects in operations (including Mandatory SIX SIGMA COURSE) but all touches upon providing fundamental and advanced knowledge of overall business depending upon your minor in second year. At SIOM, one gets access to all basic facilities as college has decent infrastructure. Food here one gets bored as same dishes are repeated every week, but quality is decent. Talk...

One should join this institute only if he/she is genuinely interested in operations management. If one fails to make into tier 1 b schools, this institute is worth for him in terms of niche course and placements. Overall learning is good during the course of 20 months. You will find people around here from diversified culture and professional background. Placements are good (better than most of the tier 3 colleges). Mess food is ok. There is no canteen facility but "Infinite” Kind of initiatives...

This is one B-school which has the least minimum space for an academic building but despite that whole campus turns into the sports center when the sun sets. Apart from boasting a good line-up of faculties for operations and exhaustive curriculum(specific to operations), the academic life has not much to offer. With so many rules in effect, you are bound to break one or two in your 2 years at here. While mess food is nonchalant to your taste buds, Canteen has an on again off again relationship w...

As I decided to pursue my post-graduation from Symbiosis International University, I had options from other sister concerns of the University. After introspecting all of them, I decided to join SIOM (Symbiosis Institute of Operations Management). SIOM truly stands out as the perfect canvas for the engineering minds brushed with a splash of corporate colour. I still remember my Induction programme in which we were introduced to our esteemed faculty, the enriching curriculum and the itinerary of ...

SIOM is best college if you want to do Operations Management. Curriculum is well designed to meet the requirements of industry. Lots of learning, though you will have to do many things by self study. Professor quality is average. There are some good visiting faculties. Placements are good. People get good options and opportunities. Profiles from consultants to Business analysts to operations managers are given. Some of the best Consultancy firms, E-commerce companies to logistics companies come...

The college is ok, but the faculties are not up to the mark. More focus should be given to practical learning in OM and SCM. The placements are ok but if you have core manufacturing experience then it’s an advantage .Guys having IT experience have to struggle a lot to get a good job in operations profile.
