Life at Thakur College of Engineering.

Placements: The placement of the college is not that great. The medium package was about 5 Lacs, and the highest about 15 lacs per annum. Students mostly opt for out-campus placement due to the inability of in-campus placement.

Good overall Infrastructure, but poor Infrastructure and Management for the Mechatronics Department.

Placements: Around 75% of the students in our course successfully secure placements, indicating a favorable employment rate. The average package typically ranges between 3 to 16 Lacs, with a median of 6 Lacs. Key recreational companies include Wipro and L&T. Approximately half of the students secure internships with prominent companies such as Infosys and TCS, offering opportunities in top roles offered in Software Development, Data Analytics, and Project Management, reflecting the diverse career paths avai...

Tcet is a great experience to gain knowledge and live college life to its fullest.

Placements: 50% of students are placed in my course, and others go for higher studies inside or outside India, or they start their own interests. The highest package is around 4 to 8 lacs and the lowest package is 24 lacs. The average is around four lacs, and the top recruiting companies are Twello and Ashok Leyland. Everybody does an internship through the department, and the top roles offered in my course are data analyst and quality control.

A good college with absolutely outstanding infrastructure had good placements in 2023.

Placements: Having observed the placement scenario at our college, it's evident that there's a notable discrepancy in opportunities among different departments. The placements for Computer Science and Information Technology (IT) students are commendable, with a plethora of opportunities from top-tier companies. However, the situation is less favorable for mechanical and civil engineering students. For mechanical and civil engineering students, the available placements are comparatively limited, primarily du...

In short, the college is good enough in infrastructure but in time management, it is poor.

Placements: 1) In my course, its takes 85 percentile minimum for to be admitted. 2) The highest package can be 10 to 15 LPA and the lowest package is 3 to 4 LPA. 3) TCS, Capgemini, L&T, etc. companies are the top recruiters. 4) The in-house internship is for students at the college.

The faculty is good. They provide question banks and study material.

Placements: The training and placement cell provides training for interviews and test preparations. Mechanical students almost always have to find an off-campus internship or placement. People do get placed in good companies. Those who are not in T&P sessions cannot attend the placement.

Overall, the college is decent.

Placements: Being a second-year engineering student currently, I'm not fully aware of the placements and how much students are satisfied with the placement grounds that take place at Thakur College of Engineering and Technology. However, there is a Training and Placement Cell (T&P Cell) in the college, which is responsible for conducting the training activities for students so that they secure a good placement at the company they desire.

Absolutely satisfied with the faculty members and college environment; just the fees are too high.

Placements: The percentage of students placed in my course is around 65% and most of them really got core companies to hire at a minimum salary of 3.5 lacs. This time, IT companies did come, but still, core jobs are in higher numbers than those of IT industries.

Really good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: The placement number is low, as in only 2-3 out of 70 students get placement, which is ridiculous. Moreover, if a student actually works on a project which would add to their career, the placement cell refuses to recognize those efforts made by the students.

Short overview of the college for new students.

Placements: The placement season for the 2024 batch was not good as compared to previous batches due to a market slowdown. To compensate for this situation, the college came up with sales jobs for engineering students with a minimum package of 3 LPA, which in my opinion is not good for an engineering student. Hopefully, the next batch will get good placement drives with a better package.
