    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

    Course Curriculum Structure for B.E./B.Tech at Thangavelu Engineering College

    Based on the statements provided by students and alumni, here's an overview of the course curriculum structure:

    * Anna University Curriculum: The college follows the Anna University curriculum, which provides a framework for the course structure.
    * Practical Training: Practical training is emphasized throughout the program, with separate rooms for displaying the latest videos related to the course.
    * Weekly Assignments: Weekly assignments are provided to help students stay engaged with their subjects and prepare for university exams.
    * Three Exams Before University Exams: Three internal exams are conducted before the university exams, helping students assess their progress and prepare better.
    * Subject-Specific Faculty Members: Each faculty member teaches 2-3 subjects per year, allowing students to receive specialised guidance.

    While the curriculum structure seems to be well-designed, students' feedback suggests that individual faculty members may vary in their effectiveness. However, overall, the course curriculum appears to provide a solid foundation for students pursuing a B.E./B.Tech degree at Thangavelu Engineering College.

    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

    How does the placement cell for B.E./B.Tech at Thangavelu Engineering College assist students in getting placed?

    Based on the feedback from students and alumni, the placement cell at Thangavelu Engineering College appears to be ineffective in assisting students in getting placed. Here's what emerges from the statements:

    * Limited involvement: The placement cell faculty members seem uninvolved in the process, lacking proper exposure to students and industries. This makes them unable to effectively guide students in preparing for placements (as stated by multiple students).
    * No campus recruitments: Companies rarely visit the campus for recruitment, and when they do, the offers are often minimal (insurance company and IT firms). Students mostly rely on off-campus placements.
    * Poor placement training: While the college claims to provide regular placement training classes, the effectiveness of these sessions seems limited. Many students felt the need to self-study due to inadequate guidance from teachers.

    In summary, the placement cell at Thangavelu Engineering College lacks proactive involvement, leading to limited opportunities for students to get placed. The college could improve its placement services by increasing faculty engagement, inviting more companies for campus recruitment, and providing better placement training for students.

    It has good infrastructure, facilities, teaching, and placements.
    Placements: Our branch is EEE, the average salary package will be 3.5 LPA, and the staff will be very friendly with students. It has good placements and top recruiting companies are hiring. A good percentage of students get placement. For internships, after 3rd year we can choose and get the certificate.
    Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities are good and the classrooms are good. In library facilities are good, and sports are provided every week once. The mess and canteen are very good. The facilities are good. Labs are good and they explain every topic. I enjoyed studying as a student in our college.
    Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching will be good. Especially EEE labs are conducted as per schedule-wise. Every year they conduct 2 mid-exams and one model exam. Daily they conduct a subject-wise daily test for student improvement.
    Other: I chose the EEE course as I am interested in the EEE course. It will be good for everyone who is choosing this course. The campus and surroundings are very peaceful.

    Good faculty and infrastructure. Facilities can be improved.
    Placements: The placement drive take place in the final year. The companies coming to college are not top ones and the offers are also not that great. Job vacancies were more but the companies preferred skilled students. The college should focus on improving students skill and not on their marks.
    Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good but the maintenance is not up to the mark. there is a big ground but again it was not maintained well. The college campus needs to be cleaned properly.
    Faculty: The college faculty is friendly with students. The course curriculum is also up to the mark and useful for students. Exams are conducted from time to time properly.

    It has good placements, good teachers, and good infrastructure.
    Placements: More than 60% of students were selected for internships. Now top roles are offered to AI. As a fresher, you get jobs with a salary package of 3 LPA to 4 LPA. More than 50 members in our course were placed in campus selection. It will depend on the performance of students.
    Infrastructure: It has good facilities and good quality of infrastructure. All rooms have power and are available 24 hours a day. They provide good maintenance in the canteen. Labs, classrooms, and the library are well maintained. Sports and games are conducted for 1 hour every week.
    Faculty: Teachers are friendly with students. They clear up all our doubts. Mid-exams were conducted as per the schedule and extra to gain knowledge. A test will be conducted in the morning hours every day for the development of students. Students are getting good percentiles. Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable.

    It is a ragging-free campus, and you can be friendly to your seniors.
    Placements: Most of the students who were in the placement interview got selected by good companies like HCL, Wipro, Mahindra, etc. The average salary package is 4 LPA. Some of them are even placed with a high salary package of 10 LPA. The lowest salary package is 1.5 LPA to 2 LPA.
    Infrastructure: There is a library and Wi-Fi. There are labs for physics, chemistry, electronics, mechanics, civil, etc. Everylab has a good infrastructure and it is fully maintained. There is 24x7 electricity in the hostel. There are some exceptions too, due to some emergencies. Unlike other colleges, here you can have electrical appliances of approximately 1500W. The mess food is good enough to eat.
    Faculty: Teachers were very helpful to students who were facing difficulties in their studies. They are very knowledgeable and very friendly to their students. When you are facing a semester exam, it will be good enough to write it very well. It will be easy for you if you follow the instructions given by your teacher.
    Other: I chose Artificial Intelligence and Data Science as it will have very high scope in the very future. There are scholarships, cultural events, and many other extracurricular activities.

    Average – the given picture was the way to college after the storm.
    Placements: According to my seniors, not many students get placed through campus placements. We often have to find and secure internships on our own. I’m not sure about the highest, lowest, or average packages or the top recruiting companies.
    Infrastructure: There is no WiFi, and the computers in the labs sometimes don't work. The library mostly has old books. The hostel is not well-maintained, and hygiene is poor. The quality of food in the mess isn't good, but the canteen is better. First aid is available only if there are supplies.
    Faculty: Sometimes, teachers from unrelated subjects are made to take classes. Despite this, they put in their best effort to teach us. The passing mark is 50 out of 100, and the difficulty level of the semester exams is average.
    Other: Not many activities are held, and those that are conducted seem to be just for formality.
