Satisfied with college, really good infrastructure, provide placements, good faculty, well-equipped.
Placements: I'm not quite sure about the percentage of students placed via placements since there was no formal round of placements and they didn't conduct campus placements. Students were sent to companies/ firms, which has vacancy, for interviews and hence it was like any other interview procedure. But I'm grateful the college has taken efforts and took the initiative to take responsibility of students job since no other college of architecture does that. The average package offered ranges from 10,000 INR- 15,000 INR.
Infrastructure: I would take pride in saying that our college has the best infrastructure for an architecture college, as far as I have seen. I can vouch for it since I have attended/ visited many colleges and nothing is at par. We have well-equipped facilities. A huge campus with so many activities and spaces is something to praise. Completely air-conditioned with excellent internet facilities. From classrooms, big studios, computer labs, library, seminar hall, exhibition hall, material library, workshop area, dining area, auditorium, canteen, indoor play area, garden, etc., we have it all for good advancement of a student. The quality of the infrastructure is to appreciate since its hygiene and security level is too good. The quality of food and other facilities is trustworthy too.
Faculty: Well the teachers are surely of a very helpful nature. They are very friendly and not trying to overpower the students which creates a good working environment. Most of the faculty has specialised or done Masters in specific fields after their graduation in architecture, which adds to the knowledge they impart. Having faculty from different specialisation helps us form a nice palette of knowledge. The course curriculum is surely relevant but I would like to recommend more technical and modern techniques to be taught. I have seen how students are not ready during their thesis projects for an almost realistic project in ARD aspect. The college should explore more in practical education such as site visits hands on workshop, modern techniques, parametric designs etc.
Other: I choose this course since I always had a niche for creativity and was always oriented towards design. The best things about the course is that it taps into all the aspects of a building, inside out. It's not only a specific part of the process but the whole process. It's not only restricted to books or anything inside a box. It expands your vision and helps thinks beyond the box. It helps shatter glass ceiling with crazy imagination. It's not only restricted to buildings but any creative, technical, financial, commercial field. One has many doors open after graduating from the course. It's not only teaches you academic related stuff but also other very important things like patience, endurance, smart thinking, efficient working, mental strength and community relations which are very important lessons in life. I would wish that it would explore more team work options since it can get a little too exhausting for a single person to handle the pressure. The pressure is too much. I wish there could be more practical and hands-on stuff which help improve learning. We have an annual cultural and sports event in college. Our college keeps students ahead in heading all the events happening and the staff and faculty backs the students up. We have a huge auditorium to suffice huge events. Our college supports competitions and other extracurricular events. We have two trips annually, one national and one international. College is well connected from the highway. College is surrounded by residential and educational facilities. It also has many eateries nearby. College also does provide scholarships for students and I'm really appreciative of it.
