Children of Central Government Employees, irrespective of their nativity, provided their parents or guardians (only if both parents are not alive) have been serving in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past five years can be eligible to apply.
Sons & daughters of All India service Tamil Nadu cadre officers are eligible to apply. A Self declaration from the parent in this regard is to be produced.
Children of employees in the Public Sector or Government recognized institutions had been working in their organisations for the past five years are also eligible, irrespective of their domicile.

It is the best college in Kanyakumari if you're focused on your career, either technical or sports.
Placements: The placements in the college were not top-notch, and when it comes to the mechanical department, it's just average. Only one core company came for the drive, but, it also demanded a a 4 year bond. IT and CSE departments have better placements in our college. More IT companies visit the drive and recruit many candidates. My friends from other departments got placed in TCS, CTS, Infosys, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was well with everything separately. The library was good and most books are available with daily magazines and weekly magazine are also available. Classrooms were similar to the classrooms in any other college. They were neat and good. Wi-Fi was the sad part. The college collects internet fees every semester, but we don't get internet. When I studied 1st year, we had Wi-Fi, and after that, it just disappeared. Hostel was the only best part of the college with no negative marks. The food served in the mess was not the best though. But, you'll find it better than other colleges comparatively. Laboratory should be given negative marks as the labs were poor, and they don't allow us to do most of the experiments. Welding, CNC, and milling are available but we go to the lab only to watch these machines. They never allowed us to use them.
Faculty: Faculty members were the best in our college and especially in our department. We had 14 permanent staff for our department and all 14 of them were doctorates. Every staff teaches well, no criticism on that. Compared to other private colleges, in our college, they won't force you to study. If you want to prosper, it's your responsibility to study. The syllabus is kind of old and boring, not up to the industry standards. The exams are somewhat tough, and staff won't simply provide internal marks, you have to work hard to earn them.
Other: I am from the mechanical department. I'm not very fond of it. Like every boy who choose engineering, choose mechanical for that royal tag, I am in no way different. I also chose it for the same. But, the curriculum makes it entirely difficult. We have seminars, symposiums, cultural, sports, and various clubs. NSS activities are carried, which are the best, so, if you enroll in our college, don't forget to join NSS also. You also get a first graduate scholarship and other financial and minority-based scholarships. We have two grounds and both are astonishing. The campus includes an arts college, a diploma college, and our engineering, the area itself is surrounded by public institutions like colleges, schools, government officials accommodation, government offices like employment office, etc. The area is fully covered in green, has a boating lake nearby. The college is just 2 kms away from the main city.
