Review of University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panjab University.

Placements: Almost 80% of students got placed in our college. Students got many analyst roles. The highest salary package offered is 14 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Samsung, Deloitte, HP, Cognizant, etc. Around 40% of students got internships. Top roles offered are tech analyst, software engineer, and bank officer.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of the course curriculum, but the faculty and placements are good.

Placements: There are very few placements for mechanical engineering. Only 10 to 25% of students got placed in the mechanical branch. This college is the best for CSE, IT, ECE, and EEE only. Only a few students get internships. The college has a very bad placement cell. They never help students to get the best placements.

I am absolutely dissatisfied with placements, faculty members and the study materials.

Placements: Only IT companies visit our college for placements, and core companies of electronics don't visit here. Our college doesn't provide many internships offers in this field. Students of ECE branch weren't offered many internships in our core branch. We also have to apply for internships in IT companies.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of everything inside the college.

Placements: The placements here are also not satisfying. Only 40% of the students were placed last year. The highest salary offered was 8 Lacs (p. a) and the lowest salary offered was 1.5 lacs. Companies lime adobe, jugnoo visited the campus. Students were asked to code various programs and test was also organised. Only 50% of the students got intern offers and they were offered on average 25000 per month. It is effective enough but not that much that it leads to good placements.

Campus is poor. Just two academic blocks and a disastrous canteen. Huge lack of co-curricular activities and opportunities for students to enhance their social, communication skills etc. except for the academic skills. The crowd is also quite diverse and anyone even the localities may find themselves alienated in this college.

The administration and teaching faculty is not good at all. They not upto the mark, most of them have no experience, syllabus is outdated and the lab does not have any good equipment. Placement is little-bit good for computer engineering, IT and ECE with average package of Rs. 4 lakh or less. Other departments like EEE , Bio-Tech, Mechanical is nearly nil.
