Detailed review of UIET Chandigarh (Panjab University).
Placements: Placements are the biggest ROI of this college. All the MNCs like Google, Amazon, and other reputed companies come here in college for campus placement. The packages are around 8-10 LPA for core branches, and for the tech branches, it is around 11 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is old school but beautiful at the same time, and that is because it's a very old university. Labs and workshops are having everything that a student would need in his/her learning phase. Hostels are very affordable, and the mess food follows the same trend.
Faculty: Faculty members are very serious about the genuineness of delivering education to the students and hence are a little strict. The exam paper also contains a good composition of conceptual as well as challenging questions to trigger students' minds. The curriculum is not too hectic.

Placements are good, infrastructure is average, campus life is good.
Placements: In my college, 60% of students are placed, and the highest package of our college is 13 LPA, while the lowest package is 4 LPA. The top companies that visited our campus for placements are Infosys, Wipro, JungleWorks, and Tata 1mg. 80% of students got internships from my course (CSE). The top roles that are offered by companies are software developer, data analyst, and penetration tester.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of our college are average. The classrooms of our college are also average. The labs of our college are good compared to the classrooms, and the library is also good. There are no additional facilities provided in the hostel, only some basic facilities like water coolers, washing machines, and geysers. The quality of food in our mess is below average, but the quality of food in the canteen is good. The medical and sports facilities are average.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful. They are well-qualified and knowledgeable, and the quality of teaching is good. Yes, our course curriculum is relevant and it makes the students ready for the industry. The difficulty level of the semester exams is a little harder. The pass percentage of our college is 50%.

It's a fine college you can get if you can at your rank by seeing the cutoff for previous years.
Placements: 81 out of 120 students were placed in ECE branch on this ongoing year. DDRO is a major recruiter in our branch for core placements. The highest placement on campus was 25 Lacs per annum, while off campus was 40 Lacs. This was for the whole college not just ECE branch.
Infrastructure: Hostels are there but very less students will get there seat as seats are limited and will be provided on the basis of your rank. Wi-Fi is present throughout the campus but in some block it's damaged and will rarely get repaired. Food is very average to below average.
Faculty: All Lecturers are highly qualified since this is a government institute all professors are either pursuing Ph.D. or have completed their Ph.D. Some students do say that there are some professors that discriminate between local and non local students but till now I have not experienced that.
Other: One fest for quiet. Other departments do have their respective fest which we can attend and are quite enjoyable.

University provided good campus life with decent placements .
Placements: Branches like CSE and IT have almost 90% of students placed but in core branches like MECH and EEE, percentage placement is less. And the overall average package is about 8–10 LPA. The highest package of last year is approximately 40 LPA. Top recruiters that come in college are American Express and Deloitte .
Infrastructure: Infrastructure was average but the university shares campus with Panjab University. So overall, campus life was good. There is a shortage of hostels, so a very small amount of students get hostels on merit basics. Medical facilities are available on the Panjab University campus. Sports facilities were too good at Panjab University .
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The curriculum was updated and relevant for placement and also helpful for higher education. As per it is an engineering college, so semester exams were a little bit difficult, but if you study well, you will get good marks.

College is good because of its location and placements are decent for higher branches.
Placements: The average package in CSE is 9 lacs and the highest package is 30 lacs. Top companies are American Express, Deloitte, TCS, Loreal, Infosys, KCMTG, etc. There is no internship provided formally here; we have to apply on our own. 70 percent students are placed in CSE or IT departments.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not so good of UIET Sector 25 as it is so old; classrooms are not air-conditioned for 1st year students and are also so old; the library of college is good but it closes at 9 pm; labs are also air-conditioned; hostel infrastructure is good; and mess food is also okay. There is sports options for people who have interest.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable while you have to study by yourself from your side. Semester exams are average, as I gave minor only; it was just average, not very difficult. For the 1st semester, 50 percent credits are required to pass to the next semester . Yes, it is relevant.

A decent college with a scope for improvement with a good campus life and decent placements.
Placements: The college placement scenario is average since most companies predominantly favor the IT and CSE branches. However, there are exceptions like L&T, which recruit for core branches like Mechanical. Otherwise, if you're a core student, you'll likely have to depend on off-campus opportunities. ECE students also receive decent exposure based on the nature of placements.
Infrastructure: Our college is situated in the 25th sector, while the main Panjab University campus is located in the 14th sector. Consequently, the infrastructure at UIET is not as well developed. However, we have access to the superior facilities at PU, which are quite commendable. The hostels are decent, and the mess food is also satisfactory. Notably, there are no restrictions imposed on hostel students.
Faculty: Teachers are mostly good, but some may cause trouble regarding attendance. Knowledge-wise, we have a mix of experienced educators and research scholars. They are helpful in various ways if you can communicate with them effectively. The curriculum is identical to that of other colleges.
Other: The college, situated in the middle of Chandigarh, offers great exposure for students to explore the city and its culture. The crowd is diverse, but the majority are from Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal. However, life on campus is quite happening.
