The teaching is good but placements are less only IT companies will visit.

Placements: Around 10% of students got placed but only in the IT companies not in core companies. The highest salary pacakge offered was 4 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 1.5 LPA. Infosys and TCS were the top recruiting companies. If students were good in programs they will be selected in IT companies for good packages.

I am dissatisfied with the college because they never organised convocation for our batch.

Placements: Good placement opportunities were provided to students on campus. Above 60% of the students get placed from college. The average salary package offered was 4 LPA. We got internships based on the talents in some core and IT and marketing companies.

The college does not have a good environment to study.

Placements: Almost 98% of the students were placed in this course. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, HDFC, Kodak, Bata and others. Almost 70% of students got their internships, and the top role offered is the department secretary in this course. Management is supportive to the students.

The review of Velammal Engineering College.

Placements: As far as the placements in mechanical companies are concerned, they are average. One can have more options in the IT sector. Our seniors who passed out also have an opportunity to attend for placement drives. IT companies like CTS, TCS, and Infosys are the tier 1 companies that hire many candidates from our college. Special training is given for placements, and the training sessions provided are good to attend an interview.

Dissatisfied about the placements compare to other academic years.

Placements: Placement for our batch is less when compared to other academic years ;only 50-60 students placed in 240 students; tcs infosys tech Mahindra no intern from our college there is a placement cell it is useful only for students who got above 8cgpa there was not an intern offers to the students ; the students were offered max to the it companies and only few we're selected. Quite satisfied with the way of reaching, mostly service companies are only visiting for recnowadays

Placements: For CSE and IT excellent job opportunities are there as several service companies are regularly visiting our college. But core companies for mechanical and automobile are not visiting more often. So chances are very less in core companies. But students are capable of placing in a decent industry somehow.

Dissatisfied with the food facilities and the technological facilities.

Placements: Senior and my batch placements are not good. Only non-core companies came to the college. So, more than 20% students placed because of the pay packages. Interns are not allowed in our college. Only for IV, we went that too for a minimum of 1 day or half a day. Placement cells are there for all colleges. There training was good. They didn't bring any companies for a speech to students regarding the industrial trends.

A college which has reputation, but lacks in making engineers.

Placements: I got placed in TCS as a system engineer. Since I got placed in TCS, I wasn't allowed to sit for other companies or core companies. Being working for 4+ years in TCS, I still feel that I should work for a core company being a rank holder. We get less core exposure. The college doesn't give importance to core sector and whatever we studied goes waste if we go to MNC. For core placements, we should try outside.

A review on VEC if it is worth to choose for a better career.

Placements: Mostly, they are training for only IT placement, and only IT companies are coming. There are core placements in very rare cases. The management itself is showing more importance in IT placement more than core placement. IT placements are also in a pathetic situation, and also, the placement is shared among the partner institutions.

A good college which is inside the city.

Placements: The placements are not up to the mark when compared to what my seniors and super seniors had. All the MNCs had new rules and made tough to crack the job. This year, it's even more miserable. I had many arrears, yet I still cleared final rounds of interview for many marketing companies.

Satisfied with the college and it is worthy. The students with creative minds can give a try.

Placements: It is a good place for product companies. The management help students through placements. The syllabus used during studies must be changed or upgraded which is in the hands of Anna University. On the other hand, it is a good place for students creativity. We have to do individual projects in companies apart from studying in the college.

The college for the students is good to start for gaining the good knowledge.

Placements: The placements are mostly of IT consulting services, and fewer core companies visit the campus. The maximum salary offered as of now was 5.5 lakhs per annum, and the lowest was 2.5 lakhs per annum. The placement is high for CSE compared to the other departments. The second highly placed department is ECE followed by EEE and the other departments.

A review of Velammal Engineering College, Chennai.

Placements: They are bringing good companies on the campus and are making their best in the placements. As a student, I can assure it. But there is one disappointment, they only target how many are placed, and they doens't matter what the company, how is it everthing. The good companies like Amazon, Zoho, Sirius, JUSPAY, a lot more product companies and service companies like CTS, Wipro, Infosys, etc., are coming to the campus to hire the students.

A good college if you really have nerves of steel

Placements: Let's face the truth here. No college in this country can "guarantee" you placements in global companies. The days of mass recruitment are long gone. In this day and age, placements are purely based on one's knowledge, skills, extracurricular and social activities. Note that I haven't included CGPA and grades. Companies (especially MNCs) do not hire with just. A few reputed companies visit V.E.C. for recruitment, but most of them are service-based companies (e.g. TCS, Wipro, etc.) and only a few...

A nightmare for an engineer.

Placements: Whatever ambition you have in life and whatever specialisation you study, you will be taught C, C++, Java and will be brainwashed to get placed in an IT Software Service company, only to satisfy the placements records of the college. The students get internships on their own and the college doesn;t support the students. The students aren't hired through domain specific interviews. A three-day slot occurs where bulk recruitment takes place.

It is okay to join but the faculty doesn't teach with proper examples.

Placements: The placements are good, but they provide placements only in IT sectors. So it's fair but according to our aim, it is not good. So the college has to take responsibility about this query of the students. But if they provide for non-IT sectors, the placement will be very good.

Medium grade college to study.

Placements: In our college, there are good placements for the IT sectors. But the core companies visit rarely. But in IT, they recruit in large numbers. The companies are Infosys, Wipro, CTS, etc. The highest salary is 3.8 LPA. Only a few students had done their internship because in our college they won't give permission to all, as the internship duration is too much.

Everything you heard of this college is just a hoax.

Placements: Placement Details: 1.More than an average of 75% of the students get placed in companies like TCS ,Infosys and Cognizant. 2. Among them, only 50% of the students receive the call-letters from the company. 3. The highest salary is 12LPA and the lowest is around 3 LPA. 4. Less than 10% of the students get internships from the college.
