It is one of the best colleges under Calcutta University.

Placements: Our college is under Calcutta University. There are no placements in this college because it a government college.

It is a very good institute with familiar teachers.

Placements: In India, maximum 10% of the people are in BA course with journalism and mass communication. Our college offers very good guidance over this and also organises internships in final semesters. They prepare us for internship works by technical guidance.

One of the best colleges in the city. A great place to develop your character along with knowledge.

Placements: Placements does not occur at Vidyasagar college as the courses offered are not professional courses. Students usually opt to go for higher studies and pursue masters. Some students also opt for other competitive exams. Thus, we cannot judge this college in terms of placements provided.

The college is overall decent and provides good education to shape our future.

Placements: 30% of our batch students were placed. The highest package is 3LPA the lowest being 2LPA and average is 2.3LPA. Companies like TCS, ICICI prudential visited our campus for recruitment. Kaantar came to hire students for internships. Only a few students were interested.

I am very much satisfied with the campus and also faculty members of our department.

Placements: I don't know information about placements. The number of students gets internships depends on vacancies available in companies. I am in my first year, so I don't know much about placements. As it is a government college, the minimum charges are well sufficient for students.

It is the best college for arts and science students, and you won't regret it.

Placements: There are no placements in our college. It is an educational place. Our youth deserves the opportunity to complete their high school and college education. They deserve the opportunity to grow up in financially and emotionally stable homes.

Good college but not well maintained.

Placements: The college was good but there was not enough number of faculty members. No salary had been credited to the faculty because it was UG course. 44 students were admitted and only 22 students got the degree. Practical labs were not well maintained and well-equipped. Campus recruitments were not available. Students were quite sincere and scored good in university.

Review of Vidyasagar College (UG Campus).

Placements: It is not a course which can get you placements. But if you have any interest in research work you can apply for summer internships in Bose institute, IISER Kolkata and Calcutta University. After completion of your graduation, you can apply for the primary school teacher, high school teacher posts. If you have completed your Masters after graduation, you can apply for NET / SET examination.

No facilities for students. Only politicians have. The worst college ever.

Placements: At least 50% of students got placed, some trying for better option. And it's a government-sponsored college and also we are doing a normal course so there is no issue of salary. Though maximum students are giving their best. Hopefully, we will be able to get a job at least. As if m talking about myself I need a job in a multinational company.

I recommend joining Vidyasagar college to study physiology.

Placements: The college does not provide placements opportunities. Most of the students pursue masters after completing their honours degree, but candidates can apply for other jobs in biotech, healthcare, clinical data management, MR, etc., though chances of getting a job after B.Sc. is very high in zoology, botany, microbiology, food technology, etc., than physiology.

Good college under calcutta university.

Placements: The placements are not so good to be very honest. As every college has its own placement committed which has its own rules and regulations that students have to obey. The good students do get placed in good companies in the city. The placement of the students of journalism department is nice.

It is good in all aspect.

Placements: Placements are quite good in my college.88%of students in our college got placed in many good and big companies. Out of all many of them got recruited by TCS. The highest salary as per I know is 90,000rs. Our college got a placement cell too and it is too useful.

Good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: Placements in our college were pretty good. TCS visited the campus to recruit the students, and 10% of the students from our class got placed. This is a huge percentage considering that the placements are not offered to regular courses. They also recruited other candidates from other departments. The average salary offered to the students was Rs. 15,000 which was sufficient for a beginner. The companies were keen on making the girls independent and gave us the time to complete our exams and then...

Faculty and infrastructure are good.

Placements: As our course was related to English literature, they don't provide any placement facilities for us. But our college tried to provide placements for the students, and they invited MNCs like TCS where they selected about 15-20 students. Our college tries to go beyond their scheduled work and help students with various facilities.

It is one of the good colleges.

Placements: The college provides one of the best placements in Kolkata. This year, almost 196 students were placed, and it is the top placement rate in the history of Hons. The college was too good. All kinds of people will complete the Hons. course with a maximum fee structure of Rs. 2,000 per year. Students get the highest salary of Rs. 26,000 per month.

Review of Vidyasagar College (UG Campus).

Placements: Our college didn't provide any placement opportunities. But as far as I remember, TCS visited our college in 2016 for placements. They offered temporary jobs to us, and it was not much worthy.

Dissatisfied with my experience here as the faculty didn't encourage the students much.

Placements: No placements were conducted or were even given a thought by the committee. No such arrangements were made for placements. Students were not encouraged to pursue post graduation with the same subject; they don't even think about the same. So, I cannot comment on placements.

Blessed to be a student of Vidyasagar College.

Placements: When I was in 3rd year I got placement in TCS. All the honours 3rd-year students were welcomed to sit for the interview. Including me, 34 people got selected amongst 150 people. I was blessed to be a student of this college. I never thought that I would get a chance to work in the world's no. 1 company. Vidyasagar college gave me this placement and I am happy about that.

Good faculty and infrastructure.

Placements: There are no placement opportunities in case of physics, but some placements are available for the students of computer science. But the placements are low compared to the total number of students. As far as I know, TCS visits the college every year and recruits 1 or 2 students.

Review of Vidyasagar college.

Placements: The placements are provided by TCS. The recruiters visited the college to conduct written exam for interviews in our final year. The one who qualified the interviews got placed. As freshers, they were offered the salary of Rs. 12,000-15,000 per month. The companies didn't offer any internship though. But, more than 40% of the students were placed in TCS.
