    VVCE: Engineering underdogs.
Placements: Last year, we had 60-70% of placements despite the recession. The highest salary package offered was 41 LPA and it was a foreign placement. The lowest salary package offered was 1.5 LPA. The average salary package was around 7 LPA - 9 LPA. Almost everyone got an internship from the college, if not by any company.
Infrastructure: We have well-equipped labs with all the required teaching for computer science subjects. This includes virtual machines to run UBUNTU, the latest model of the computers, and more. We even have an open-source lab, where students get free and unlimited access to Wi-Fi to improve their technical skills. The mess provides really good food for hostel students. However, the food in the canteen for non-hostelite is overpriced. There isn't good infrastructure for sports and games.
Faculty: Our teachers are extremely qualified with a very good percentage of faculty members holding doctorates. Most of them are very good at helping students understand concepts. Our department teachers are very easygoing and friendly with students and are always ready to make exceptions to help students whenever possible. The course curriculum is highly relevant and the syllabus is handpicked for our respective industries. We are also trending domains like AIML and more. The semester-end examinations are usually not difficult. A good number of students are able to pass with ease.
Other: The campus crowd is vast and diverse and you can meet all kinds of people from different backgrounds. We have plenty of clubs such as GDG, Swara, Aspera, and Toastmasters which organise various events throughout the year. It gives us a chance to learn, showcase our talents, and also give us a hand in event management as a part of these clubs. The highlight of the year is our annual fest named Vidyuth which is hands down the best college fest in Mysuru where we invite top Bollywood stars, international DJs, and more. The campus is surrounded by multiple cafes.

It is a decent college with decent placements.
Placements: 75% students got placed last year. 33 LPA was the highest package last year, and 3.6 LPA was the lowest package last year. Accenture and Nutanix are the top companies that came to our college. 70% in Wipro and Infosys got internships. Software engineering and cloud engineering are the top roles.
Infrastructure: Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering offers excellent facilities with modern labs, spacious classrooms, a well-stocked library, and campus-wide Wi-Fi. The hostel ensures a comfortable stay, with hygienic food in the mess and canteen. The college also prioritizes health with medical facilities and encourages recreation through well-maintained sports grounds and games.
Faculty: At Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering, the teachers are approachable, well-qualified, and always ready to help, making learning a positive experience. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed to be industry-relevant, blending theory and practical skills to prepare students for real-world challenges. Semester exams are fair, encouraging consistent effort rather than rote learning. The pass percentage is impressive, reflecting the college's commitment to student growth and success.
Other: I chose the CSE course because they can prepare us for placements from the 1st semester. There's only one fest at our college.

The college is okay, but placements should improve.
Placements: Placements in our college are average and the total number of students placed in our batch is about 60%. Most of the students placed in our college are getting below 5 LPA, and a few are placed above 5 LPA. The companies that visited our college for our batch were mostly startups.
Infrastructure: The college's infrastructure is good. The classrooms are good and Wi-Fi access is available only for teachers. The college does not have any play grounds for sports. The hostel rooms and facilities are nice but the mess food is the worst. Even the college canteen is not good.
Faculty: Most of the teachers do not have enough experience and do not have good enough teaching skills. The course curriculum of our college is not up to par, and it does not make the student industry ready. Students should work on their skills. The semester exam difficulty level is medium.

I'm satisfied with everything except, the college campus.
Placements: I'm a student, currently in the 7th semester and will be passing out in 2025. Placements are going on already. Around 20% of students got placed in good companies with decent salary packages. The highest salary package offered is 25 LPA by Juspay. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. The top recruiting companies are IBM, LG Soft, NCompass, Towell Engineering, Cognizant, Texas Instruments, L&T, Capgemini, Delloit, Digital Shark, and Pravega Semi.
Infrastructure: High-speed Wi-Fi is available in the entire college, and labs are well-equipped with updated equipment. We also have a VLSI lab ( Cadence tool) in our college, which many colleges in the district don't have. It provides a golden opportunity for students to pursue their careers in the VLSI domain. Coming to the hostel facilities. In our hostel, they provide morning tea/ coffee, biscuits, breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner. Everyday menu changes, which is amazing. No student gets bored with the food like other hostels, every time it's different and tasty too. We have a hospital in our college itself and an ambulance service too, which is available on the college campus itself. A doctor is available in the cabin from 8.30 AM-5:00 PM. As for sports and games, our college has an excellent infrastructure as seen on the official Instagram page of VVCE. Recently many players have been identified and trained. They have also won many VTU competitions, interzone events, and even at international level.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, well-qualified, and highly experienced. They explain concepts in such a way that students can get to them very deeply. In fact, they make the toughest subject seem easier. The course curriculum is relevant. Our faculty suggest to do an extra course an extra course on the subject through Coursera and other websites. These extra courses are compulsory, and a test is conducted at the end. It makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not that difficult if we study as faculty instructs. By paying attention in class, one can get to know important questions. We can even refer to internal papers and module papers to focus on important questions, which will help to score above 75% easily.
Other: I have a passion for engineering since my childhood days. So I took Electronics and Communication immediately after 10th as a diploma course. The best thing about our course is that this is a core engineering branch with high demand, especially in the coming two years. The other best thing is that we can switch to the IT industry. Our college has identified the old syllabus and replaced it with the industry-relevant syllabus so we don't have any issues with our course because we are already studying updated syllabus. Our college organizes the best events in Mysore. Before SJCE was conducting JCYANA events but from the past 4 years VVCE started conducting events better than any other college in the entire Mysore. Vidyuth, an event that will be held every year is the best event I have seen in my entire life. Coming to the scholarship, our college provides amazing scholarship opportunities to students, who are financially weak and for the rank holders. Scholarships are kept confidential and colleges do not reveal it anywhere (students might feel bad, so they do not reveal the student's pictures to whom scholarships were given). Regarding extracurricular activities, our college has many clubs and those are involved in many activities. So, we have to join the club based on our interest.

Review about my experience in VVCE.
Placements: Only about 40% of students were placed from the civil engineering branch, but the overall placement of the college was good (around 70%). The highest package was 4.15 LPA, and the lowest was 1.6 LPA. Top recruiters were Sobha Ltd and Brigade. Almost everyone got an internship opportunity in our course. Top roles offered were Management Trainee and GET.
Infrastructure: The college has good laboratories, and the infrastructure is also good compared to other colleges in Mysore. The hostel facilities are good, but they are also expensive. The college has good elevators, nice classrooms, and they also have a sports complex on campus.
Faculty: The faculty are kind of mixed in quality. Some faculty members are extremely good, while the others are not. The curriculum is just the same as that of VTU. The exams are good, and most of the questions will be at the application level, so some people may find it difficult.

College has very good infrastructure and trading.
Placements: Even though there was recession was going on the college was successful in placing 40-60 % of students in good companies. The companies visited our college offer wide range of packages in which the highest is 17.5LPA and the lowest package offered was 2LPA. The average package would be 4.5LPA. The top recruiting companies are wipro, mahindra, hp, tcs, cognizant, Econ, aurigo and many more. There were not much of opportunities for internships through on-campus.
Infrastructure: The college provides lot of facilities in flavor of students like, there are well-equipped labs in all departments, there are good comfortable classrooms and well resource library. The Wi-Fi facilities are made accessible in labs and some workshops to makes students learning easy. The hostel provides very good facilities like 24?7 hot water, washing Machines and the hostel maintenance is also very good which includes regular cleaning of windows, bathrooms and rooms. The hostel mess food is eatable but can make still more tasty. The college does not have good grounds to play sports and space to do events.
Faculty: Some teachers are very helpful, they so humble that they clarify our doubts even in their free times and put effort to make us understand. The course curriculum was not upto the mark for our batch but are trying improve for upcoming batches. Even there are practices sessions and work shops so that the students can get idea about industry requirements. The exams are easy can easily score studying 10days before exams.
