Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

Placements: Hi their, I am doing B. Tech in Information Technology from Vidyalankar Institute of technology. The percentage of student getting placement is about 75-80%. The highest package in our course is 37.5 Lacs per annum from UNIQLO and a 35 Lacs per annum by a Japanese company named 'Work Application'. Average package of our course is 3.5 - 4 Lacs per annum. And talking about the lowest package it is 1.5 Lacs per annum. The top recruiting companies for I. T course is Work Application, UNIQLO, TCS, Wipro, Jio. In my knowledge most of the student get placed which have good CGPA. Many student have got internships in IIT Allahabad, IIT Mumbai, oil corporation, L&T and many more. As a developed and many more different roll had offered to student.

Innovation labs are their where student can work on their project and faculty is present their to guide them with their innovative ideas. Library rooms are their where you can read books and reading room are also their where student can do group study. No hostels are their near college. Canteens are clean and quality and taste of food is also good. Their are two canteens in college. One where western type food is available and other where indian food is there. We have subject like design thinking where we have to find out some unique ideas for solving real life problems and work on it. Subject like Advance Java which other university doesn't provide in their course. Semester exam are moderate and student needs 40% to passed the exam.
Other: I got this college through government cap round and the best thing of college is it's flexibility. Student doesn't need to have so much stress about assignments. Faculty is supportive and each student is assigned with a mentor to which they can talk and seek help. College fest are mainly in february. Placements: Around 120 students got placed in companies like TCS, Wipro and Infosys. Some students in Amazon and Google. Highest package was 12 LPA last year, average stands between 3-8 LPA. TCS is a top requiring company for our college. Around 70-80% internship.
Infrastructure: We have a great wifi, all ac labs, digital board classrooms, library is pretty good I loves infrastructure so much. We don't have hostel , quality of food is just amazing. We have sports and much more games like kho kho ,carrom,badminton,PS5, football, air hockey.
Faculty: Teacher are well qualified, very informative. Teacher helps a lot in our entire semesters, planned things works well. Courses are also relevant to the industry. No difficulties in semester exams if you preparing well enough. Also we have Monday tests.
Other: I chose this college because of its infrastructure, also the fests of our college which is verve, garba. All kind of cultural activities, placement everything is good. They also provide scholarships. Campus is big.

Good infrastructure and idealogy.
Placements: My course is new and has only 3 batches, so placements are expected from 4–15 LPA as per the placement cell. Jio, Amazon, Wipro, TCS, etc. recruit from our college. Our college provides internships to almost every student. People in my course can get into both the software and core electronics industries.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure, of course, is very decent; we have well-maintained labs. All the equipment is there. Labs are very cooperative. One can sit in any lab anytime and do their projects and other stuff. The canteen and cafe are very good. We do not have a hostel here at the college.
Faculty: Faculty are well qualified and very experienced; many of them are Ph.D. holders. Most of them teach very well. The curriculum is relevant and industry-ready. They focus more on parts that are trending in the industry. For me, the semester exam was not difficult, but still, many students find it difficult.

Honest Review by a student for VIT.
Placements: Out of 700 students, 150 of them are placed in my course. The highest package offered was 37.5 LPA by a Japanese company; the lowest package offered was between 2 and 2.5 LPA and the average package we can expect is around 5 and 6 LPA. The top recruiting companies for my course are Accenture, Capgemini, TCS and Infosys. Around 30% of students got internships at companies like MSwipe. The top roles offered in my course are software analyst, telecommunications engineer, and embedded systems engineer.
Infrastructure: The college campus has well-secured Wi-Fi for students. The classrooms and library are air-conditioned with good ventilation. Labs are also air-conditioned, except for a few, like physics and chemistry labs. There is no hostel facility, but the food in the canteen is good and affordable. First aid is available. A cricket ground, football ground, basketball court, volleyball ground and badminton court are available for students. Board and PC games are also available.
Faculty: The teachers have expertise in their respective fields. They are helpful and clear doubts. Teaching quality is better. The course curriculum is relevant and it makes students ready for industrial work. Odd semesters are easier than even semesters. The passing percentage is 30.
Other: None.

A student's review of Computer Engineering at VIT, Mumbai.
Placements: The placements are decent ad VIT. On average, around 85% students get placed every year. The highest package offered was 37.5 LPA and average package is around 3.5–4 LPA. top recruiting companies are Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Accenture, Capgemini and others. 70% students got internship with notable companies. The top roles offered were Software developer, Data Analyst, System Engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is one of the best in the city. The classrooms are equipped with lecture capture systems and smartboards, and the labs are equipped with high-end computers with the latest software, etc. for coding and development. The Wi-Fi network is available all over the campus. The library is well stocked with all types of reference materials for every course.
Faculty: The Computer Department faculty members at VIT are highly qualified, experts in their field, and very supportive. The curriculum is well structured with the latest industry standards and real-life applications. The semester exams are moderately challenging and designed to test both the theoretical and practical knowledge of the student. The pass percentage is generally high, around 90–95%, reflecting effective teaching methods.
Other: Choosing VIT was driven by my passion for technology and the good reputation of the college. The best things about the course are the experienced faculty members and the good curriculum. More industry collaboration and practical exposure could be some improvement. The campus is vibrant with many extracurricular activities, like the annual events VERVE and Techfest. Transport connectivity is also easily accessible. Scholarships are also available for needy students. There are technical clubs like CESA-VIT and CSI-VIT in the Computer Engineering Department.

My Experience at Vidyalankar Institute of Technology.
Placements: The placements at VIT are decent with providing many opportunities for students ranging from teach to non-teach roles as well. The highest is usually around 10+ LPA for at least the last 2 years, and the lowest has been 3 LPA with an average of almost 4 LPA. Almost all the students who opt for placements get placed. Many companies like TCS, Jio, etc. come to hire students from the campus.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is excellent and top-notch. It has everything - air-conditioned labs and classrooms, well-lit classrooms, labs with proper and updated equipment, and also spaces like an indoor gym and a huge auditorium. I live in a PG and usually eat through the college canteen, which has good and tasty meals at an affordable price. The PG is at a walking distance too.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and experienced. They have a good amount of research knowledge too and are up-to-date with newer technologies. They have good teaching techniques as well. The course has good subjects that are in demand, like AI/ML, and important subjects like programming basics with DSA and DBMS.
Other: I chose this course as I was primarily interested in technology as a career and doing this course would be helpful to get me started on my tech career. The only thing it could be more practical and related to the industry more. There's an annual fest, Verve, which is the biggest fest in VIT.
