Vivekananda is the presidency of south.

Placements: Vivekananda College is also known as the presidency of south Kolkata. Admission is strictly based on merit, but not on effective politics. From my batch, four students got selected for IIT (2 Guwahati, 1 Hyderabad, and 1 Kharagpur). Five students are studying in IIEST, Shibpur. Many others are doing M.Sc. in various colleges mostly in Rajabazar, Presidency, and St. Xavier.

A very good college for the students who want to learn more.

Placements: It has a very good placement facility. The students of this college never think about their placements. The students are very happy in this college. Many students of this college went abroad for their future studies, and this college always helps the students for their future studies.

A good college for minimum attendance.

Placements: The placement scenario is not that good. No company came to recruit during our year as the talks fell through. The management promised us throughout the year that companies would come to recruit us, and they even prepared a list of students, but in the end, nothing happened.

The college is average, but the infrastructure is great with lively campus life.

Placements: The placements of this college are not good enough. No reputed companies came here in the last few years to place the students in good jobs. Only ordinary companies visit the campus, and they provide jobs of BPO, call centres, etc. No commerce-related companies visit the campus nowadays.

It is the best college which I have ever seen.

Placements: Excellent salaries are offered, but no company visits here. Vivekananda College is the topmost college in West Bengal for science. It got 24th rank in India, that's why, even though the college has no campus, those who got good grades and marks from this college will 100% get a high salary job.

I really had unforgettable friends in the college.

Placements: Normally, the college is good, but chemistry department is not much. Normally, after chemistry in B.Sc., the students do M.Sc. or go to higher studies for a better prospect. I also try to follow this because there is no good job in the industry during bachelor course.

An enjoyable college life with never forgettable memories.

Placements: The placements are provided according to the capability and quality of students, and also its depend on the marks obtained by the students. I heard that maximum number students of every batch got placed in well-known companies. Many renowned companies visit our college like Wipro, TCS, and they offer roles according to the skills of the students. Above 70% of the student got the internship from college. The highest stipend is Rs. 5,000 per month and the lowest is Rs. 150 INR per month and averag...

My college, Vivekananda College.

Placements: Our department is very good. Current students and ex-students all are very studious. Some of them get chance in BU and Vellore. They didn't opt for a job because all of them want to go to higher study. The stipend is given by the college for some selective reasons. It is up to all the students, what they want to do next. Some of them tried for railway or bank examination. Some of them went for higher study. So, don't know about the all students placement. But some of our seniors work in scientif...

Good for professional courses.

Placements: There are no placements but good for professional courses like a chartered accountant, company secretary, and cost and work accountant. Office management is not good, but teachers teaching is also quite good, but for few subjects, I want to give an average rating, and at last, there is no problem at all of the attendance, with all favoured parties, etc.

Satisfied with the faculty members, but needs a room for improvement in the infrastructure.

Placements: The placements are moderate. There are no big companies, and huge dreamy packages cannot be expected. One need pure skill to get a good placement. One can expect a salary package of Rs. 1,80,000 per annum. We don't get a prior notice that when the placement will be held or what companies are taking part in it.

My college through my eyes.

Placements: Placements do not take place here. At least, I have not seen in the past four years, as I'm studying for these years, as I had to repeat Hons course. But I heard, many years ago, Dettol visited and carried out interview sessions. And I never heard or seen anyone getting placed directly from our college.

Vivekananda College is a good study centre under the guidance of Calcutta University.

Placements: The placements in this college is not a regular venture because it is not a placement specialist college. It is a college where graduation is done in various subjects. In some streams placement is available. But as a student of English literature, there is no scope of any placements.

The college is the best for the B.Com course and the placement.

Placements: The placements on the campus were average. The different multinational companies visit the campus for the placements, and according to the individual capability as per marks and his/her interview round, they get selected. According to the company norms, the salary is offered to the individuals. The minimum and the maximum varies according to the different companies. TCS and genpact visited the campus. The Basic roles are offered according to their subjects.

A study on various facilities in the Vivekananda College.

Placements: Firstly, the college provides very good facilities like the placement, quality education and other services. When talking about placement, more companies come and take an interview with the skilled students, and definitely, they could get into the job easily. The companies also hire 10 to 15 members.

Moderately good college affiliated to University of Calcutta

Placements: The statistics department only offers a bachelor degree. However, our seniors have got chance in many noteworthy universities such as Calcutta University, Presidency, etc. Speaking of the college, the science section of the college is one of the best in the city that offers bachelor degree courses. Master's degree course is available in history and bengali.

This college gives us full of satisfaction on every aspect.

Placements: The placements are given on the basis of capability. TCS, WIPRO and many other companies come to recruit students from our college through the interview. The students get the job according to their qualifications. The salary is starting from 15k to 50k. Overall, 60% of the students from our senior batch got placed. The students are appointed as a computer operator or assistant manager or other computer related works like assembler. 60-70% students get an internship from the college. The stipend ...

Peaceful college, very good faculty and infrastructure, good teachers!

Placements: The placement is average. According to the previous year experience of our seniors, the placement was fair. Nearly 50% of the students from computer science department were placed in different companies. Job roles differed according to salary. Software testing, back-office jobs, etc. were some of the jobs that were offered. Salaries were in the range of Rs. 10000-20000. TCS & Infosys were two companies which visited our campus.

Good college but placements need to be looked after.

Placements: There is a huge drawback when it comes to placements. There is no organized placement committee in our college. So students have to find jobs on their own. However, deserving students get the opportunities to work in a small firm as they are referred by the faculty members.
