Q: Is WCC a good option?
WCC is known for its dynamic quality of education. It's 100 years of existence is a testimony by itself. It's an autonomous institution. Bagging a seat is quite a task especially at UG level. Once entered, a world of multi dimensions opens up.
As far as bunking is concerned its difficult to get past the security people once inside the campus. So she will have to take leave. But 85% attendance in every subject is a deal breaker. It's important to be cautious. It's not impossible to bunk though if the right tricks are known.
Discipline wise it's all individual values. Anything against the rule book is treated with stern action.
Well I hope I've given you an insight about life in WCC. In a nutshell it's 70:30 ratio of education and extracurriculars for UGs and 90:10 for PGs. Good luck to both of you.

Q: Which branch is best in B.Com at WCC?
1) Stella (Girls Only), Cathedral Road is the best branch in BCom at WCC. Its got to be at top in anybody's list.
2) MOP Vaishanav (Girls only), Thousand lights/Uttam gandhi Salai - As good as Stella. Should be in top 5 of anybody's list.
3) Ethiraj (Girls Only), Egmore- Again in top 5 for girls only
4) WCC (Girls only), College Road- I would keep it on par with Stella and MOP. You see same level of competition for seats, yet it's everyone's second or third choice for some reason . Top 5 in anybody's list
4) DG Vaishnav college (Co-ed), Arumbakkam- Only reason I would rank this below all others is it's location and plenty of parents would prefer a girls only college over a co-ed.
5) Madras Christian College (MCC), Tambaram (Co-ed)- Probably has the best campus out of the lot . Why isn't in top 5 of my pick . same reason as DG vaishnav.
There are plenty of good colleges all cross the city . Above list are autonomous and self regulated, hence are preferred . Then there are alot of private colleges in far flung areas of city like SRM . I wouldn't recommend someone there.
Q: Is WCC good for M.Sc?
WCC has a good infrastructure, and it provides Wi-Fi facility for us and also coaching for NET exam.
Placements: Above 65% of the students got placed. The lowest salary of Rs.10,000 per month and the highest salary of Rs. 20,000 per month are offered for a fresher. TCS, Amazon, LIC, Infosys and HCL are some of the reputed companies recruiting of our college. Almost the whole class got internships, while some students did their internship in IIT, IGCAR, CSIR, Actavis.
Infrastructure: In chemistry, the department has a good lab, and department library where students can take books and return them in a week. The department has google classroom where teachers post the work for the day, and students even submit the assignments in the google classroom. The hostel facility is good, and the food served is also good with snacks in the evening. Sports and games are given importance here as they have compulsory sports in the first year, which are helpful. There are special coaches to train students for sports.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, and they lets the students think creatively. They have good knowledge, and they observe every student in the class whether they understand what they teach. They are very encouraging. The course curriculum is relevant, and even have MOOC courses, and it helps when students enter the industry for a job.
