Q:   What is the cut off score for XIMB?

A: 

XIMB accepts both CAT and XAT scores for admission to the MBA courses, followed by a PI round. XIMB Bhubaneswar cut offs are available for both CAT and XAT. Considering the XIMB CAT cut off 2023, the cutoff percentiule was 91 for the General AII India category candidates.

Q:   Can I get direct admission to XIM University Bhubaneswar?

A: 
Yes, for many undergraduate and postgraduate courses candidates can directly apply for admission without taking any entrance exam. B.A. B.Sc. B.Com B.A. LL.B. And B. M. undergraduate candidates need to apply directly and give a Personal Interview . The selection process aims at determining an applicant's fulfilled and potential merit. Candidates will be evaluated on their consistent academic performance, active engagement outside the curriculum, and personal impact in terms of challenges they might have faced and overcome. The selected candidate must book the seat by paying a token amount as mentioned in the offer letter. The balance and other fee payments for the second semester onwards are to be made within the due dates to be announced separately.

Q:   What is the eligibility criteria for MBA at XIM Bhubaneswar?

A: 

For being eligible to take admission in XIMB for MBA, aspirants shall have a Bachelor’s degree (three-year) or equivalent in any discipline with 55% aggregate. In addition, candidates completing the final part of their degree by June 15, 2022 are also eligible to apply.

Q:   Can I give XAT and XGMT both to take admission in XIMB?

A: 

XIM University offers various MBA and Master's programs with specific eligibility criteria and admission tests.

1. MBA programs, including Business Management and others, require a bachelor's degree with specific marks and accept scores from exams like XAT, CAT, GMAT, or XGMT.

2. Executive MBA-Business Management requires a bachelor's degree with work experience and similar admission test options.

3. Other post-graduate programs have distinct eligibility criteria.

The last date to apply for most programs is December 8, 2023.

You can apply for multiple programs using a single form and through different admission tests.

Interviews are part of the admission process for shortlisted candidates.

Residences are compulsory for MBA and MMS-BF programs but optional for other post-graduate programs.

XIM University has two campuses near Bhubaneswar.

The application fee varies based on the number of programme choices and is non-refundable.

Q:   Is XIMB good for MBA?

A: 

XIM Bhubaneshwar MBA is a two-year, full-time course divided into six trimesters (each of 3 months). The coursework of XIMB MBA is designed in such a way that it grooms the students to become competent professionals. The USP of the XIMB MBA curriculum is that it gives 15% weightage to industrial exposure. At the end of the first year at XIMB MBA, the students must get an internship or a job for a minimum of eight weeks in an organisation. 

Apart from the curriculum, the XIMB MBA fee is up to INR 19.30 Lacs for the year 2024 and the average package offered during the 2023 placement drive is INR 20.03 LPA.  The top 25% of the batch got an average package of INR 25.32 LPA and the top 50% batch received an average package of INR 23.64 LPA. The top recruiters of XIMB in 2023 were Microsoft, Accenture, Amazon, PWC, etc.

The College Campus Was Neat and Peaceful
Placements: The placement process starts from the 5th term, which is from the 2nd year onwards. Companies like Tata Capital, Ujjivan, UPL, Sarda Groups, Mahindra Finance, RBL, Axis, Rise African, etc., visited the campus. The highest package was offered by Rise African. Profiles offered include Development, Agri, Finance, Marketing, etc. 100% placement was offered.
Infrastructure: One table, one chair, one bed, and a cupboard are provided, and only double-sharing rooms are available. The meal quality and food menu are also good compared to other college hostels. Hostel accommodation is easily affordable at Rs 25,000 per semester and food around Rs 6,000 per month. I was in the hostel, so I don’t know about any locality for PG. But it will be available around the college.
Faculty: As I completed my Bachelor in Urban Planning, I pursued Urban Management for my master's. The faculty-to-student ratio is excellent, as it is a very niche program, with a ratio somewhere between 1:1 and 1:2. The faculty members are very well-qualified, most of them having completed their Ph.D. Exams are held every 3 months, and the 2 years are divided into 6 trimesters.

One of the best University for MBA.
Placements: At XIMB, 100% of students were placed. The highest package was 71.51 LPA from Microsoft, with an average of 20.04 LPA. Top recruiters included BCG, ICICI, Microsoft, and Goldman Sachs. Many students received PPOs from internships, with nearly all securing internships at top firms. The roles offered were in finance, operations, marketing, consulting, and systems. I have been placed at Vedanta Limited.
Infrastructure: XIMB offers robust facilities: high-speed Wi-Fi, Bloomberg terminals, air-conditioned classrooms, a library, a gym, and indoor games. Hostels, with a cost of INR 50,000 per year, are spacious and well-equipped with cupboards, tables, and chairs. Students bring personal items like mattresses. The mess food quality is low, offering North and South Indian dishes that vary monthly. Hostel registration is online. Medical and sports facilities are also provided.
Faculty: XIMB's holistic MBA-BM programme, with 105 credits, covers finance, marketing, operations, and systems in the first year. In the second year, students choose majors and minors from 53 electives. With a class size of 60 and a cost of INR 2,200,00 per year, the programme is rigorous and industry-focused. Faculty, all Ph.D. holders, are highly qualified and helpful. Exams, blending theory and practice, are challenging. The pass percentage is 5.5 CGPA.

College provides good placements and good infrastructure .
Placements: 100% SIP placement with the highest stipend of 2 LPA and the lowest around 20k. Coca-Cola being the top recruiter. It was a little lower this year due to the market condition, which when good can be finished around 90% in December and the rest by January. Great case competition opportunities.
Infrastructure: Although the facilities are good and getting better, the academic area is smaller, and the auditorium has plastic chairs. The Wi-Fi, classrooms are good. The library is a well-equipped one. Hostels are getting better with new buildings being built.
Faculty: The teachers are quite good, well-read, and qualified and very helpful. Make sure to take things up from the basics, and that helps each and every student. The subjects are well-designed. The exam system is such that we have mid-term and then end-term with quizzes all through the sem.

Placements: In our batch, 100% of the students were placed. The highest international package was 46.7 LPA, and the highest domestic package was 15.3 LPA, with an average of 12.5 LPA and a median of 10.3 LPA. Top recruiters included BCN, ICICI, Deloitte, PwC, and Coca-Cola. Nearly all students secured internships with companies like L'Real and Well Fargo. Common roles were financial analyst, salesperson, and consultant. I have been placed at Rustomjee Groups.
Infrastructure: XIMB offers excellent facilities: high-speed Wi-Fi, Bloomberg terminals, air-conditioned classrooms, a well-stocked library, gym, and indoor games. Hostels are clean, with Wi-Fi, geysers, and essential furniture. Mess food is of high quality, and cafes provide additional options. Hostel registration is simple, and the warden allocates rooms. Hostel rent is INR 15,000 per semester, and feels are INR 12,000 annually. Sports and medical facilities are also available.
Faculty: The faculty at XIMB is excellent, with graduates from reputed universities. The curriculum, focused on rural sectors, is highly relevant and prepares students well for the industry. With a class size of 130 and a course fee of INR 120,000 per year, the trimester exams can be challenging without proper study. Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, ensuring high teaching quality. The pass percentage is 5.5 CGPA.

Placements: Our XIMB batch of 360 students is trained in marketing, finance, strategy, IT, and operations. XIMB guarantees 100% placement yearly with top companies like BCN, ICICI, Deloitte, PwC, Coca-Cola, CRISIL, L'Real, Well Fargo, and DE Shaw. In 2023, the highest package was 72 LPA, averaging 19 LPA. Q:   What is the admission process at Xavier University Bhubaneswar?

A: 

Xavier University offers admission to BM, BCom, and BSc courses based on merit scores. For admission to BSc course, candidates need to submit a Statement of Purpose (SOP) and appear for Skype/ Personal Interview . For BTech admission, applicants are required to appear for a written test (Xavier Engineering Selection Test). The final selection will be based on the Xavier Engineering Selection Test Score, Personal Interview and academic performance in class 10 and class 12 examinations. For admission to Postgraduate courses, admission will be granted on the basis of a valid score in XAT/ CAT/ GMAT/ X-GMAT. Shortlisted candidates will be further assessed on the basis of Group Discussion, Writing Ability tests, and Personal Interview in Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, or Mumbai. The final selection will be granted based on the candidate's performance in XAT/CAT/GMAT/X-GMT, GD Writing Ability Test, and Personal Interview, the past academic record and relevant work experience will also be taken into account.

XIM University cutoff for MBA through XAT Exam is 80. It is mandatory for candidates to have a valid score in XAT in order to be eligible for XIM University admissions.  There are multiple factors affecting the XAT score, including number of seatsat XIM University, Ranking of the university, number of candidates who have appeared for the XAT exam, the difficulty level of XAT and number of candidates who have passed the exam. It is only after the XAT exam the further admission process of  XIM University admissions is conducted.

Q:   Which exams are accepted by the XIM University?

A: 

XIM University Bhubaneswar admission to various courses is both merit-based and entrance-based. Admission to BTech, BSc, BCom, and BM is offered on the basis of a written test or interview conducted by the university. A candidate's past academic record is also considered at the time of final admission. The candidates have to qualify in CAT/ XAT/ NMAT or X-GMT to secure admission to MBA and Executive MBA programs. Final admission is subject to WAT and GD/ PI conducted by XUB Bhubaneswar. MTech admission is offered completely on the basis of a valid score in OJEE. For a PhD, candidates need to take UGC NET, followed by an interview. Any other equivalent national or state level examination qualified candidates are also eligible to apply.
