XLRI is accredited by AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), AMBA, and NBA (National Board of Accreditation) and is approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education), AIU, and GOI. XLRI Jamshedpur is ranked 9 for MBA in the NIRF 2023 rankings and was established as a private college in 1949. Being a private college, the fee can be a little high but the students can apply for scholarships provided by the XLRI-Xavier School of Management. Xavier School of Management Jamshedpur does not have the provision of direct admission to the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) courses. However, as per various sources, XLRI Jamshedpur has a few seats under the Managment quota for which the institute offers direct admission. XLRI admission to most the PGDM courses is based on the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT), conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur.

A: 

XLRI admission 2025 to PGDM in Business Management is based on XAT scores, followed by a PI round. XLRI Jamshedpur cutoff 2025 is yet to be released for admission to its BM and HRM courses. Aspirants seeking admission to XLRI have to meet both the overall and sectional cutoffs. During the XLRI cutoff 2024, the XAT cutoff percetile was 93 and 95 for the HRM and BM courses, respectively. So considering the preious years' cutoff, the lowest percetile to get into XLRI for BM and HRM courses ranges between 93 and 95 percetile for the students belonging to the General AI quota.

Q:   What is the XAT application fee?

A: 

The XAT application fee 2025 is INR 2,200. The XAT fee is to be paid online at the time of forms submission. The fee is same for candidates belonging to all categories. Unlike other MBA entrance exams, there is no rebate for Reserved category candidates in XAT. If you select XLRI in the application form for admission, you will have to pay INR 200 additionally.

The fee can be paid via debit/credit card, cash card, mobile wallets, or net-banking. It is mandatory to pay the application fee before deadline for successful registration. Candidates can fill the application form and pay the fee later, however they will need to make the fee payment before the registration deadline so that their form is accepted by the examination authority. Until the fee is paid, the XAT application form will remain pending acceptance. Candidates must note that the registration fee is non-refundable. So, they should fill the form without error, otherwise they will have to fill the form again and pay the fee again.

Step 1: XLRI Jamshedpur Application Process 2025

Candidates seeking admission to Xavier School of Management must apply through XAT. 

Step 2: Release of Cutoff List

After submitting the application process, candidates must appear for the XAT entrance test to be eligible for XLRI admission. Soon after the declaration of XAT result, XLRI will release the admission cutoff list. Those who meet the XAT cutoff, are eligible to appear for the Personal Interview (PI) round of XLRI admission.

Based on the information available in the application form and XAT scores, XLRI will shortlist the candidates for Group Discussion and Personal Interview round. Apart from XAT scores and screening of applications, XLRI also considers relevant work experience, academic background extracurricular activities while preparing the final list.
