A good college for core engineering and has a great future.

Placements: The placements are poor, but who wants to work in IT after doing engineering in a core branch? Regarding placements, the college lags behind RKNEC, but electrical alumni did wonders after graduation. Students can take up other options like pursuing a PG or a government job with the skills taught by the experienced faculty.

Satisfied because of good faculty, good placements, good infrastructure and good pedagogy

Placements: Campus placements are fairly decent at YCCE Nagpur. Companies like TCS, Infosys and Tech Mahindra visited. More than 70% of the batch got placed in top-notch firms with an average package of 3 lakhs. The highest package given was 7 lakhs and the minimum package given was 2.5 lakhs.

Satisfied because of good faculty, placements, and infrastructure.

Placements: The placements were good. More than 60% of the batch got placed in good companies like TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, NVIDIA, Amdocs, Accenture with an average package of around Rs. 3.5 lakhs per annum. In total, around 30 companies visited the campus for placements. The companies were from diverse sectors like IT, manufacturing, consulting, power, steel, etc.

I can tell you all about YCCE honestly because I have lived on the campus

Placements: Placements in YCCE follow the same trend as most colleges follow. There are more placements for branches like computer technology, IT, electronics, telecommunications and somewhat in electrical. However, core branch students like mechanical and civil are less facilitated by placements, though they easily get placed in IT companies.

It is good but was better before.

Placements: We had a lot of companies in our campus but very few companies were core, so that is the sad part. They wanted us to join IT companies for a safer side but because of this many students backed out from the campus placement. They did place many students but I think it is not worth if you are studying electrical for 4 years and end up joining an IT company.

Though we are getting knowledge, there is nothing here where we can use it.

Placements: 18 lacs was the highest package got by the student of YCCE. Nowadays due to the recession, the companies are least interested in picking up the brilliant students for the job. Due to this, very few companies visited Y.C.C.E. The knowledge we are getting here is only limited to that subject or in short it is limited up to MSE and ESE. This knowledge is like garbage when we go actually for the performance because we there is no facility of how to create something new inside the college. Only 5-6 s...

Average college. If you want a job without having knowledge of your stream, you can apply here.

Placements: Placements were average during our batch. The highest package offered for my branch was 3.6 LPA and the lowest package was 2.8 LPA. Companies which visited the campus were Capgemini, L&T, Alacrity, Tech Mahindra, etc. Less companies visited our college in 2017 as compared to 2016. The college is highly dependent on TCS(mass recruiter). The number of core companies which visited was less. The companies giving higher packages came only for Ctech, IT and for 'female candidates'. ...

The headline to summarize the college is that it is overrated.

Placements: The placements are not good. Also, they offer you much less than you deserve. Only a few people are recommended by the college executives which can be called purely nepotism. But when it comes to placements, our college is not so good.

The college with a good name in the market place but not with a good inside story.

Placements: Last year, almost 50%-60% students of my branch were placed, which is the highest up to the last year. But this year it might be 30% to 40% students getting placed only. Our training and placement department work very hard to place as many students as they can. I am in 3rd year now and our T&P session has started already. A test is also conducted. CRT sessions are also conducted in summer vacations which lasts for 80 hours.

An average college with less salary but decent placements.

Placements: The placements are average. Some companies came but they took a few students only. Companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, L&T, & Capgemini were the only MNCs hiring form the college. There were not any core company that belongs to any certain department. No internship opportunity was provided to students from the college.

Placements: About 40% students are placed. The highest salary offered is 5 lakhs per annum, lowest is 1.8 lakhs per annum and the average salary is 2.8 lakhs per annum. The companies visited the college are TCS, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Mahindra and Mahindra, L&T Infotech, Persistent, Zoriant, EPIC Research, Amazon and many more. Internships are very less.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of the management body.

Placements: The placement was average. 50-60 % students got placed and the salary offered was average. TCS, Tech Mahindra, Amazon, Capgemini were some of the few companies that visited the campus. The worst part is that the students are not allowed to tell their problems. There is a big problem for the students doing their BE In civil engineering as there are no campus placements for them. There are a very few core companies for mechanical, electronics, electrical and civil. ...

Good in Nagpur, otherwise no.

Placements: The placement was fine. Only IT based companies come to YCCE for recruiting students and being an Electronics engineer, the core companies for electronics are scarce. The TNP department is good but the TNP staff is not good. They don't co-operate and if you plan to do higher studies they will not even let you sit on the campus.

The College is really good with good academics. Especially college is autonomous and with good placement record. What I really miss about college is my faculty, canteen and fun which we had done with friends. One thing is fees at our time was average but right now it’s very much high which is one minus point about this college than any other college.

The college at the time of joining in 2009 was well known for its mechanical engineering course. So, when I started off with my engineering, I felt that the faculty members for mechanical engineering were good. But, the issue was with the placements, as during my batch's placement season (2012 - 2013) it was very bad esp. for mechanical engineers. As per my knowledge, only 35 to 40 had been placed out of a total of 140 students, which is a very poor ratio. The overall placements scenario of rema...

It is a nice college. Ranks amongst the finest colleges in Maharashtra, probably in the top 10. Since it has been granted the autonomy status, the facilities have improved. Watch out for core branches like mechanical, electrical and civil. Good faculty members are there for these branches.

The education given is quite good. Faculty members are good enough to convey their message to the students. But some of them are not that much helpful. The campus placement is good for only eligible students. Department wise, electrical department is so good, they work according to the rules. But cannot consider some requests.

It was one of the biggest mistakes of my life and it is my personal opinion. Others may differ. I joined this college only because its fees was half of the fees which I would have paid in other colleges which was way better than YCCE. And for those who hail from Nagpur, it is a good choice but to outsiders I would rather request to refrain from even thinking of taking admission here. Plus most of the companies visiting the campus are IT companies. So, if you want a core job, do not expect it f...

Review of Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering.

Placements: Our college does not provide placements for this course because it is the 1st batch. Our college doesn't provide internship opportunities too. Students have to find internships by themselves. Students are eligible for placements from the 7th semester. The average salary package offered ranges between 4 LPA - 5 LPA.
