Amid JEE Main and NEET postponement demands, over 14 lakh aspirants downloaded their admit cards

JEE Main and NEET 2020: Over 14 lakh students aspiring to appear for the two exams have already downloaded the JEE Main 2020 and NEET admit cards, revealed National Testing Agency (NTA) officials.
The NTA has released the JEE Main 2020 admit card on September 17 whereas the NEET 2020 admit card was released on Wednesday (September 26) amid growing demands to postpone the two exams in view of rising D-19 cases.
According to an NTA official, the NEET admit cards were released at 12 pm and over four lakh students had downloaded it within three hours. Till evening, the number was over 6.8. The official also stated it has been ensured that 99 per cent of candidates get their first choice of exam cities.

Speaking about the JEE Main 2020, the official said that out of 8.58 lakh registered candidates for the exam, 7.41 lakh had downloaded their admit cards for JEE Mains 2020 till Tuesday (September 25) evening. So far, only 332 candidates have requested to change their exam centre which has been considered positively.
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, for admission to engineering colleges, is scheduled from September 1-6.
Though student & their parents, political leaders and some eminent personalities are requesting to postpone the two exams again, the Ministry of Education (MoE) reiterated that the exams will be conducted as per the schedule in September.
