Students in this programme take classes that cover courses related to fields of Mechanics, Mechatronics and Robotics, Structural Analysis, Thermodynamics and Thermo-science, Design and drafting, Modern tools including include Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM).

Baba Farid College of Engineering & Technology, Bathinda is affiliated to Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University, Bathinda. The examination type is the semester system. Course duration is of Four Years (Eight Semesters) after Class 12 and Three Years (Six Semesters) after the diploma.
