Delhi Lt. Governor Anil Baijal holds meeting with vice-chancellors of the universities and the director of IIIT-Delhi to review their preparedness for online learning, pending examinations, internships, placements, and admissions for the forthcoming sessions in the present challenging times.

Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal has asked all the universities in the state to make the best use of technology for teaching-learning, admission processes, and examinations, as education institutions around the country, have been closed since March due to coronavirus outbreak.

The Lt. Governor conducted a video conference with the vice-chancellors of the universities and the director of IIIT-Delhi to review their preparedness for online learning, pending examinations, internships, placements, and admissions for the forthcoming sessions in the present challenging times.

The meeting was attended by the VCs of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology, Delhi Technological University, Ambedkar University, Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women, National Law University, Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University and the director of IIIT Delhi.

During the meeting, he also urged all the Vice Chancellors to put their best efforts in order to continue educational activities, internships, placements, and admissions for the next academic session during this time when students are at their homes. He requested them to make sure all the above activities are done keeping in mind the safety of the students, faculty members, and other staff members are not hampered. According to a statement released by the Lt. Governor's office, the Governor has also asked Vice Chancellors to bring out a plan for the next academic year. 

In the meeting, the Vice-Chancellors and Director of the university informed the governor about the present curriculum status including the admission process, examination schedule, teaching-learning, internship programmes, and the placements of the students.
