BMS College of Engineering
Established in the year 1946, BMSCE has the unique distinction of being the first private engineering college established in India. Over the past 77 years, the institution has produced more than 40,000 engineers. BMS Evening College of Engineering (BMSECE) came into existence in the year 1973. BMSECE is the first aided institution from Karnataka offering undergraduate (UG) degrees in Engineering programme under a lateral entry scheme, for working diploma candidates with a minimum of two years’ work experience. From the academic year 2001-2002 onwards, the diploma holders are being directly admitted to the second year of four-year BE course.
